Fantastic place to shop! Rick and Patty are amazing people. Everyone that works there are professional and helpful. They do a good job of speaking the lingo with the fishing regulars while also making people who are just getting into the sport comfortable to ask questions. They have a great selection of kayaks and accessories for fishing and paddle sports. This is a veteran owned and operated business that should be here for a long time to come!

I was taking my family fishing for the first time here in Texas. So we went and bought some fishing licenses. fishing pole tackle etc… The staff was not helpful at all… I’m fairly certain I would have purchased more stuff… but I couldn’t get anyone to help us except another customer who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly (I actually thought he worked there). Well as luck would have it we went fishing… and the weights I had purchased we not in the bag. I was certain it was just an error and it was labor day weekend so I just saved the receipt till I would be back in the area in a few days. Well I took the receipt back with the intention of purchasing more stuff and getting the weight s I paid for. Well this guy wanted to play back a security tape of my purchase, asked me why I waited so long to return (over the weekend) and was very reluctant to make the sale good. Once I stated I would just dispute the charge with my CC company… he finally gave me the item. Normally I like to find a local neighborhood store and stick with it… He lost a good customer… and now I’m looking for a new place…

I really enjoy my 1^st visit at Anglers… I’m not the greatest Bass Pro Champ but really enjoy the outdoors on the waters. And in my wildest dream/​fantasy, I’ll eventual dethrone Kevin VanDam with my own fishing crank-​bait designs. For right now, I’ll gladly accept my Novice/​City Slicker potential with possibly winning kiddie perch competition (by invitation of course).
The store is clean an organized to keep your shopping experience pleasant. Customer service was 100 times better than the commercial chain at Academy Sports. My questions were answered and the staff knew how to assist when needed.
IMO, it’s always good to support a local store. Someone once stated that… you don’t really worry about spending a lot of money when a business treats their customers with appreciation. I believe it now!
Go here to get a change of the average commercial change of Walmart, Academy and even Dicks Sporting Good. You’ll enjoy the selection of water sports items.

Great place to find different plastic lures. I didn’t really look at the hard bait selection, but I will when I return.
The owner and his son was really friendly and helpful, I’ll definitely spend my money there again!
