Kindred Coffee

This place looks like a comfy home! Lots of furniture and a cool place to hang with friends! Not so much studying because there are more couches and chairs then tables.

I believe that you can find a good cup of coffee in many places in the DFW area. However unfortunately what is seriously lacking in most coffee cafes is great customer service. Not the case here! This place has an excellent kind knowledgeable attentive staff. You can tell they rely care! That combined with superb coffee makes this place my favorite in DFW.

I like this coffee shop better than Starbucks. The prices are moderate, the inside has cute décor, it’s a decent size for a coffee shop. I tried the blueberry scone it surprisingly wasn’t too sweet, I liked that. The strawberry lemonade was a bit on the sweet side but I enjoyed it. I will definitely be back again.

Very nice Affogatos and frappes and the cubana has 2.5 shots of espresso and really good. Very high grade coffee and nice seating options as well as a reserved area for groups. Good deserts and salad bar. Great service!

5 stars for this coffeeshop. Lots of seating, wasn’t too crowded on a Friday afternoon, beautifully decorated with a clean, white theme paired with chalkboards and burlap.
The selection of food (sandwiches and salads), coffee, desserts (including gelato) was huge. I had a cold brew, which was just right, and my friend had a iced lavender latte.
Music wasn’t too loud, lots of natural lighting, great place to talk or study. Would definitely come back!

hey know how to make their coffee! Small americano comes with 3 shots, medium with 4, grande with5 shots of espresso. Got 1 private room and 1 area that are curtained if you want small room like environment. Seats are new and comfy, nice and clean. Wifi password is printed on bottom of receipt. Speed is ok, not best. About 10mb down, 1.5mb up

Much, much better. We split the Asian Sesame Wrap. I had a vanilla been frappé w/​shot of espresso & hubby had same but hot version. Was very please and tickled pink because I really wanted to like this place it’s inviting & comfy.

This coffee shop has grown on me more and more each time. Love the ambiance definently my favorite bust out your labtop, stay for hours spot. My first try at there coffee was just ok but then I gave it a second try and realized I ordered the wrong thing so I tried something the next time in and ordered a Iced latte with no sugar, just espresso, milk and ice and it was perfect. LOVE THE FLAVOR! The staff is very friendly as well. Great experience all around!

Environment is nice. People we pretty indifferent, no one made eye contact with me while I ordered.
Americano– tastes nutty and burnt, leaves an aftertaste.
Chai Latte– bland. No spice to it at all.
Expected much more. If you’re going to charge more than Starbucks, at least provide a premium drink.

Love seeing familiar faces at this corner coffee shop. The cappuccinos are well done and the staff bake fresh pastries daily.

I recommend grabbing a ham and cheese kolache and a white mocha cappuccino. This hearty kolache and rich beverage will be sure to keep you filled until lunch and energized to kick butt through the morning.

This upscale, atmospheric coffee shop was recently updated from the cryptically named «La Famiglia» («is that an Italian restaurant?»).
The new name brings not much else new to this nice, but somewhat stark coffee place. The inside is a mix of functional and pretty with subdued artsy touches in the stenciled menu, stained floors, and white furniture. It feels a bit like a wealthy neighbor’s really nice living room in which I’m a little nervous to spill something. I prefer a homey, hipster environment personally. But it’s clean and nicely designed. Just very light, with lots of white leather.
The back wall is devoted to a glassed-​in meeting room whose doors stand open when it’s not reserved for an event. This lends a friendly, community outreach vibe.
The coffee is very good, smooth and rich. I tried a blueberry scone which was also very good. The staff seemed tired, or distracted, which is the only reason I didn’t give five stars. They weren’t rude, but not really friendly either. Pastry and other food choices were somewhat limited, as was the coffee menu. But everything we ate was tasty and suggested quality ingredients.

GREAT coffee shop! I went here for a meeting where my friends and I did a make and take worshop. This place has a great atmosphere, and the treats and food were DELICIOUS! they have treats for every taste! :)

Husband and I came here for a night away
Ordered the canoli and two special coffees. The atmosphere was casual and felt more like a place where college students came to finish a last minute paper instead of a mature atmosphere.
Customer service was great so we will definitely be coming back.

My daughter and I stopped by this place today on a whim. The place is so lovely and the people were so friendly and social.
They roast their own coffee beans and make their desserts and pastries. WOW
Hands down the best coffee I’ve had in a long time.
Do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll never go to Starbucks again!

My wife and I have been coming to Kindred (and La Famiglia, it’s former name, same ownership) since shortly after they opened. (I’ve got more than 30 check in’s and am currently The Duke.) Ever since the change a few months ago, we’ve not felt the same vibe or, more importantly, quality.
Last night was a total disappointment. We order our lattes and grab a seat in the plush white leather chairs. Shortly after, our drinks arrive. My wife takes a sip and looks at me as I do the same. Both were extraordinarily watery and neither were very hot.
I returned the drinks to the counter and got that «well, that’s how we make them» look. After they were remade, both were better but still not of the quality we were used to.
It’s fine to redo your brand, but you gotta get the coffee right — the first time. I’m not saying we’ll never be back, but we certainly won’t rush or go out of our way. Sorry, Sam, still some work to be done.

Found the place on Unilocal,was looking for a place to get an after dinner coffee.
I went with my date and she got the Turkish coffee (not on the menu but by special request they can make it)
Very chill vibe to the place. Fyi they had 2 little meeting rooms not sure how they work but they look really nice.
They have both hightop tables and some space for just studying. (Formerly a college student so still on the lookout for those places)

Kindred coffee is one of the coffee shops in the NRH area. The café offers delicious salads and wraps for lunch or dinner. The tea and coffee variety is excellent. Must try the homemade cinnamon rolls! They also provide plenty of work/​meeting space and phone/​computer plugs. Seats are comfortable. The dining facility is clean, except the bathrooms sometimes need more attention. Some staff members are nice and welcoming but others are distant and seem annoyed with customers. I wish they engaged more with recurring customers. They have a loyalty program but seems ineffective. Punch cards would be better, at least customers would be in the know of their purchases. Also, thy need to level out the lemon juice on their pastries and cakes. I have ordered a cannoli and tiramisu cake and both had too much lemon juice.

I really liked that place, it’s awesome, so clean, classy and good coffee. Nice place to read, relax and do some stuff. The service was so good.

If you’re looking for a loft like ambiance, with 20 ft exposed ceilings, surrounded by clear glass windows, cow hide leather couches, Kindred Coffee is THE Chic spot waiting to tickle your feathers.
I was craving a mean-​clean jolting Turkish tea and knew there was no way I was going to find it in the suburb of booney land Texas! But to my surprise, as I walked into Kindred Coffee and soaked in the atmosphere, I spotted it on their menu. So I ordered it. Then I heard an Alluring voice coming from their dessert window saying ‘Cannoli’ ‘get The Cannoli!’ So I ordered it. Then I heard a faint whisper ‘salted caramel Affagato is also waiting to be tasted!’ So I ordered it.
As I was riding the ‘order it cloud’ and was seduced by the ambiance the sound of «that would be $ 11 with tax,» totally brought me out of my Kindred spell into the reality; that this is THE IT spot for out of towners, especially the ones from The North, to Get their Espresso, Gelato, Afagatto, Frappucino, tea, and latte fix on!
Everything I ordered was, house made and food was so tasty you could feel the love it took to make it!

I have visited a few times now and have had pretty solid 4 star experiences each time.
The perks are that the dining area is large and well maintained with nice furniture, good lighting– you aren’t bound to the hardest chairs ever and you don’t have to squint if you’re reading a book; Their coffee is delicious and they have a beautiful variety of offerings for any taste bud (including smoothies for non coffee drinkers). Their food is really great, maybe not compared to a restuarant but absolutely compared to other coffee houses. AND they have a conference o
