My son, age 12, recently restarted Tae Kwon Do after being away from it for a couple of years. We chose Min Hur because it is close to home and we like the approach of Grand Master Min Hur and his instructor Mr. Barrios. For the record, I hate going to gyms(waiting on machines, then watching people glare at me as I use the machine I had been waiting on), I don’t like to run, and swimming for me is a seat on the bench in the pool with a cold beverage in hand. But I do need to exercise. So it was just a few weeks ago that I put my 48 year old body through a trial class at Min Hur’s and I’ve been hooked ever since. The classes are invigorating, the instructors are patient, and I am learning a life skill. But most importantly, I’ve gained a great activity that I can share with my son. What more could I ask for? One big plus here — they offer family classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and my son and I can also work out together on Saturday mornings as well. Yes, he outranks me — and I’m constantly reminded of that. But I couldn’t have asked for a better way to get back in shape — and I will beat him to black belt! Thanks Min Hur!
