This is a very pleasant place to shop for glasses. Everyone here are such hard workers. They are very personable and can tell they work as a team. When you walk in you will get greeted and acknowledged right away. Sometimes it is busy in there, but you can tell they really work their tail off to get to all the customers at a decent time. I would like to see that type of sense of urgency everywhere else. I will continue to go to Visionworks for contacts and glasses and I would recommend their service. They gave me real opinions and not just trying to sell me.

Up until recently, I had been a faithful customer at this location. My daughter wears glasses so I took her here every year for the yearly exam and if she needed new glasses(pretty much all the time). Within the past two years, the service at this location has gone to hell in a hand basket. I have no idea why. One particular occasion, I was told on a Tuesday that my daughter’s glasses would be repaired(it was simply a broken stem) and would be ready on Thursday at 5:30pm. The associate promised me that she would call me when the glasses were ready. I got a call on Wednesday afternoon stating that the glasses were ready for pickup. I immediately went to the mall and I was made to sit and wait for over 30 minutes. I finally demanded that someone assist me, and it was evident that they totally forgot that I was even there. Then it turned out that my daughter’s glasses weren’t even ready! In fact, to add insult to injury, no one had even sent out my daughter’s glasses for repair! No one could explain why they weren’t sent out for repair, or why someone would call and tell me to come in and pick them up. Needless to say, I was highly pissed. So it took them another 3 days to repair my daughter’s glasses. My daughter’s father took her to get an eye exam and to pick out a new pair of glasses. He was using his insurance(Blue Cross Blue Shield of ILPPO) and the associate helping him said that his insurance wasn’t valid(it was). It turned into a big ordeal, and her dad had to pay out of pocket for the glasses and exam. He then had to fight it out with Blue Cross Blue Shield about it as Visionworks told him there was nothing they could do to reimburse him his money. Like an idiot, I had forgotten about this incident and brought my daughter in for a contact lens exam and contact lenses. Although we had an appointment, we still had to wait almost an hour to be seen for the exam. I presented her father’s insurance card, and was told that the insurance wasn’t valid(it was). Later on in the week I found out from Blue Cross Blue Shield that someone at Visionworks had tried to authorize benefits-and not on the day that we were in the store either. Something is definitely up with this place. My daughter and I decided that she would not be getting any contact lenses after all(she’s only twelve and couldn’t handle it). I had paid over $ 148 and Vision works would only refund me a small portion of my money. I was told that I would have to «take it up with your insurance carrier»(I had used my vision insurance). Once again, I was highly pissed. Had I just remembered what happened the last time my daughter was at Visionworks, maybe this wouldn’t have happened to me. Nevertheless, I vowed never to return to this location and in fact, I have not only stayed away, but I took my business to Pearle Vision Center and I’m a happy camper! Stay away from this Visionworks unless you like to waste half of your life waiting to be seen DESPITE having an appointment, and being told your insurance is invalid just so they can get paid straight from your pocket, and you enjoy being lied to. I will never darken their doors ever again!

There is no need to ever go to this place, when vision shops are a dime a dozen. My wife used to get good service here in the past, but on the last few visits, the staff were rude and the office was overcrowded and hectic. Based on her experience, I decided to try Bespoke Vision inside Costco, just down the street, and had a great experience. That’s where I would recommend going.

Shopper be aware! Customer is poor to say the least. I got a pair of glasses here that in less than a year later the frame fell apart damaging one of the lenses. I went back to them and ask how could they sell such defective frames. When I ask what they could do for me, the answer was absolutely nothing. They would just be happy to make me another pair of glasses at full price!!! What a deal.

I went here for an eye exam and new lenses for my frames. The service was very fast and professional. My lenses arrived in a few days. The sales girls explained clearly my options and the price was reasonable. The doctor is very courteous. I recommend it.

My husband and I went there to get a low cost eye exam and glasses. We wound up very disappointed all around. After 6 months my husband’s glasses developed a bubble on the anti glare coating on the lens. They told him he’d have to pay to get the lens replaced and didn’t offer to fix it. My glasses didn’t fit well after several adjustments and I no longer wear them. We wound up paying more than we thought we would for glasses that are barely usable. When they called to ask us to come in for another exam, I explained the situation(again) and they said there were sorry and hoped that I had a good New Year.

Really friendly environment, everyone greets you and makes u feel welcomed .it is a bit of a wait to see the Doctor but it is a doctors office and it’s worth it with the service the dr gives you. Prices are reasonable highly recommend it

Absolutely great service. Bought contact and glasses from here. They were able to overnight the contacts for an additional twelve bucks which is awesome. They can get pretty busy but it is expected in a mall. Jessica was the associate who assisted me with purchase of both contacts and glasses. She was super friendly and helpful. She called my insurance company to get more information and she also followed up with me on this. The store is clean too. I did not see the optometrist there and had brought in my prescription to them. They have michael kors, calvin klein, bebe, vera bradley, and other brand name glasses. Jessica even told me the deals my insurance would cover and these were things I did not know so of course Jessica is awesome in my eyes! I am happy with both the contacts and glasses I purchased from here and would definitely come back.

It’s an optometrist in a mall, don’t expect too much. As soon as I saw three people in the waiting room I felt like it was going to be a miserable experience. I asked the clerk if this was one of those deals where they schedule 5 people at the same time to see one doctor. She sheepishly admitted it was true but said it would go fast. She was right. I really didn’t wait too long to be seen and then to cash out. The doctor was cool and friendly. He gave me a free pair of contacts and let me bypass the follow up visit since I’ve been wearing contacts for 28 years. He also gave me my prescription without grief. The clerk tried to match the price I got on line elsewhere but couldn’t. I appreciate her trying. Helpful hint: do not sign the consent for a $ 40 follow up contact lens visit! This is mainly for newbies. Also find a better price for contacts on line and see if they can beat it. They are willing to price match.

I ordered contacts in April. It is now July. I was told that they would contact me once the contacts were in and they never did. I have been wearing the same contacts for over a month. Customer service is non-existent! I should not have to follow up. Overpriced, no customer service and extremely long turnaround time for contacts! Stay away!

My boyfriend and I stepped in to try to order glasses. The woman who was working at the time seemed as if she didn’t want to do her job. She grabbed the glasses right from my hands and said I’ll give you a price. Over priced and would never order from them and the woman who works there very ignorant.
