The renovations are definitely an aesthetic upgrade, and there is a greater focus on customer service. My wife and I patronized Spark before it became Café 900, and our experiences were, on balance, pretty good. Oddly enough, the food was slightly better then than it is now. Everything is still pretty good, but the seem to have pared down their menu.(The old calamari with the ginger was awesome, which is no longer available!) The New England clam chowder is still perfect, as was the mac and cheese. We weren’t crazy about the mussels, but only because neither of us expected the sauce to be an actual tomato sauce(it only said it was a spicy sauce). There was hardly a wait and the drinks were reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back, and I’m sure that when we return they’ll have worked out some of the minor kinks that come with re-opening a restaurant.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Though the menu was very disjointed, our server was attentive and the food was great! I’ll definitely be back.

Many thoughts… I want this restaurant to succeed, so here it goes. Food was very good, my husband and I ordered three plates to share. Price was great for the the three dishes and two beers. We always play«Guess the bill» and I am usually pretty accurate. My guess was $ 51, but it was actually $ 35! Pleasantly surprised! Ambiance was not welcoming, the large dining room was very worn and had no personality, so we ate in the bar area, not much better. Upon entering the bar, the two servers seems to be snarling, and the«hostess» seems confused about where to seat us. The menu is very confusing and poorly laid out, and does not explain the«tapas» concept. The waiter came to take our order; didn’t ask if we had been here before, if we had any questions, etc. I asked him to explain the concept, and he did, briefly. Although the explanation was plates are«shared», we did not get side plates to split our salad, nor did two out of three plates have any serving utensils. The food was very good, would liked to have had a spoon to scrap it up! During my meal, I noticed the waitress served another table by putting the bread container under her armpit because her hands were full. She was wearing a short sleeve shirt, need I say more? As we were leaving the same waitress sat a table, gave them menus, all with a dirty plate in her hand. So, I hope the management does some fine tuning, and I wish them the best of luck.

Very good, awesome service, if you’ve never had tapas, they are awesome, very fun way to dine, better than anything in this area! So if you’re tired of the same old boring restaurants, try this place out! Meat and cheese platter is great, Mac and cheese was very good too!

I went here last night for a comedy show they started in the restaurant. The restaurant was very full. The menu itself is quite extensive. There are many tapas dishes, salad, and a small selection of larger full-size meals. The menu offers seafood items, meets, salads, pizzas, pastas, and more. I and up going with a margarita pizza, a Caesar salad, and two French martinis I ordered by ingredients. The pizza was delicious, especially the crust. It was a small small pizza but what I would expect for the seven dollars it cost. The Caesar salad was also small, but delicious. One of the friends at my table had a lobster pasta and it looked very good, and he said it tasted pretty good. Drinks were made excellent as well as a great martini I tasted from another friend. The service was okay. Although the waitresses were friendly, at times they seemed a bit rushed. While there was a comedy show going on in the room was full, there were a good number of servers and no one should have been rushed. It was an okay service experience. I am not complaining about it, but I am not raving about it either. My food came to about $ 26, and that was a $ 10 charge for the comedy show included on the bill. I would recommend the place to my friends and look forward to returning in the future.

Uhh. Service was rough. Waitress didn’t know anything about the menu. We asked for no onion then the ribs came smothered in onion. Waitress said she forgot. The stuffed mushrooms were undercooked and tasted way too sweet. The manager took them off the bill which was appreciated. The crab cake was okay, the swordfish was okay(I forgot what we ordered and when I took a bite I thought it was pork!), but the mashed potatoes definitely tasted watery like they came out of the box. My wine was empty and I asked for another but the waitress brought my dining partner another drink instead. Disappointing and won’t be back.
