Andy’s Tree Service

From the moment I met Lou Ann I knew I would hire these people. I had already received quotes from five other tree services, some of which were truly outrageous.
As someone who has been working with tree trimming companies for over 30 years I have had all sorts of experiences.
The four men who came here from Andy’s Tree Service were all courteous, friendly, and sustained a great attitude for the entire job. They did exactly what Lou Ann and I had discussed and a little more. They didn’t charge me extra, and the clean up was really excellent.
I will definitely call them again and recommend them highly.

Do you call a tree-​trimmer because you want your trees cared for by an expert, or because you plan to engage him in conversation and care about what he thinks about matters other than trees? If the latter, then Andy is not your tree guy.
There are times when one has to let things go in one ear and out the other. This is especially true with home and garden contractors. I called Andy to trim the three trees on my property just before the terrible October Surprise (snowstorm). Thanks to his work, I didn’t lose a single tree. Yes, he appears to be allergic to shirts. He pontificates about women, social class, and even religion. Furthermore, I had to suffer being laughed at because I had mis-​identified one of my tree species.
However, I would definitely call Andy again because he did an excellent job at a fair price.

I also would give them a zero. I am surprised anyone would hire this person. He showed up on my property shirtless and it was not especially hot that day. I had on a jacket. I thought, well, he was probably cutting down a tree somewhere. I asked him and he said that he hadn’t been cutting down a tree. So, he was just plain old shirtless. Ok, whatever. But, before I could point out the trees that needed service, he launched into a rant in defense of Ray Rice by saying «Men will be men». He was quite fired up on the topic as if he had been engaged in a running commentary from before he arrived. Now the shirtless factor became a bit creepier. I steered his attention to the trees. He understands trees. He has no clue how to interact with humans and I’m going to go out on a limb and say he especially has no respect for women. I was afraid to upset him or I would have gotten rid of him sooner. He seemed volatile. He made several assumptions about who I was. For one he said I didn’t work, that I laid around all day. He said I should get a job at Walmart. Bottom line, look elsewhere for tree service.
