Disappointing cookies, odd texture and not a great taste. Three of us tried to finish one cookie and we didn’t manage to get through it.

My rating of 3 stars has nothing to do with the quality and taste of these cookies. I simply want to express my disappointment when I found out the size of the cookies which were tiny and I didn’t know that. I had ordered them via telephone for a pickup by a local for a funeral gathering. I ordered 4 dozen which I thought would be sufficient, but subsequently found out they were so small that the tiny box looked a little pathetic among all of the other large offerings of food. So – make sure you know about the size before you order.

So happy I randomly stumbled into this place on the 2nd floor of Thorn’s market. I couldn’t believe it when I realized that, not only are ALL of their treats gluten free, but there are also several vegan options!!! I wasn’t looking for«healthy» but apparently they are aiming for a healthier junk food and I was delighted that the cupcake I got didn’t taste extremely sweet. It was just the right amount of sweetness, which is something that is very hard to find and I don’t think I’ve ever found a store bought GF baked good that wasn’t loaded with insane amounts of sugar. They apparently use a brown rice legume blend, which makes it lower glycemic too. I did notice that I didn’t get the sugar crash I often get when I indulge in something sweet. The only minor downside was there was a kind of heaviness and a very slight bean flavor, but less so than other baked goods made with bean flours that I’ve tasted. Overall this is the best GF/vegan thing I’ve had in this state and probably the best ever because of the fact that it didn’t make my blood sugar crash later. I can’t wait to try the cookies, but unfortunately it will probably be several months before I’m back in the area. Oh yeah, also, it wasn’t outrageously priced. It was like $ 3.50 I think for a cupcake and maybe $ 2.50 or $ 3 for a cookie sandwich, I think the cookies might sell by the pound, not sure of their price.
