I needed a new TV. My 20 year old TV finally bit the dust. They would not fix such an old TV, but they do sell TVs. Being strapped for $$, I asked about used TVs. They really didn’t have much when I talked to them first, but when I went back, they had a «dreams come true» TV. Dreams come true b/c it was so cheap! like $ 125.00 I think BECAUSE the part of it that receives the highest definition had become dysfunctional – that’s why the people had brought it in, to be fixed. But they wound up buying a new one, because it couldn’t be fixed. But I did not care that it did not have the highest definition, having been watching my 20 year old TV. I had a hard time understanding what was wrong with it, but they explained it to me and I was finally satisfied that I was not going to get ripped off. They said that what I saw on its screen in the shop was what I was going to get, and it looked great to me! But one of the problems with the 2 guys is that they don’t have great sales skills – which you may like – none of the smooth talking stuff. When I was there, a low-English-speaking customer kept hanging around and finally asked ME for help with understanding whether he could bring them his TV and use it as part-payment to get another. His TV was olde, like mine was, and through gestures and pointing, I got him the message that no, he could not. One of the owners said that people like him just hang around and hang around without buying anything, so they ignore them. So there’s something amiss there with the way they perceive customers who are unfocussed or don’t speak English well enough to communicate what they want. One is more able to communicate than the other – neither seemed to realize that kind, patient communication is a very important part of sales. They see that as «I don’t have time.» So, anyway, next, I decided I would buy it AND I’ve loved it ever since! I had to pay standard rates to get rid of the old behemoth. I paid for 2 guys to come and get it, but only one guy came. I still do not know how, single handedly, with no dolly, he got it out to their vehicle without killing himself! I have high praise for the fellow who brought the TV in and set it up. I have an old TiVo set-up plus I had not been able to use my DVD player for years for some reason. He spent a good amount of time setting it all up for me and knew things and taught me things that I had not known. He seemed VERY knowledgeable about TVs, DVRs and TiVo etc. He had brought updated cables which I used(bought from him.) It took one visit only and I really got what I paid for«two guys and they had to close up the shop when delivering» even though it was one guy and they didn’t have to close up the shop– because what I received in technological advice and service probably would have cost a lot more if I had been billed for that. I figured I’d wait a couple of months to see if the TV held up, and it has! I love the clearer picture, from this TV that supposedly doesn’t get its clearest picture b/c something about it doesn’t work. They told me it would not bother me and it would be fine, and they were right! So I recommend this place, probably they are very good at repairs, too(but don’t bring your 20 year old war-horse TV and expect they will fix it!) Don’t be put off by their un-expert sales and service manner – if you don’t understand, just keep asking patiently, or ask to speak with both of them, and between the two, they can probably explain – that’s what happened for me! Oh, and as far as the directions you get when you look it up, I think they put the shop on the wrong side of the street. It’s on the right, on Damon Road.

I needed some stereo repair and added pieces. I thought I would check out the little local store. I got A+ service. Owned by two guys, run by the same two guys. They know their stuff. Repaired my tuner, sold me just what I needed and nothing more(one piece used and one new). Tuner still needed work; 100% guaranteed their work, fixed it the same afternoon. And nice people, too.
