Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory

The staff at Forget Me not pet crematory are great. My Merlin died September 14^th. It was very quick. (24hours) Merlin was transported from Mass Veterinary Hospital Woburn, The staff called me the next day. I was not able to talk and asked if I could call her back. She was great and said she was sorry. I called them back and they were so nice. My cat Oreo was sent to them and came back in a nice box with death certificate. The staff member was able to look up that cremation and tell me what was done. Merlin was returned to me in a few days. Thank you Forget me not for your compassion and care

Losing a pet has to be one of the worst things a person can experience. I contacted Forget-​Me-​Not pet crematory via email to ask about their pricing for the services knowing my cat’s time was near and wanting to take care of what arrangements I could knowing I would not be able to be there. Instead of just answering the question Sarah told me to ask someone else (the Vet doing the Euthanasia). I thought that was very strange. The vet said that she was a separate party from the crematory, and considering we wanted information about dropping our cat off ourselves, wouldn’t be the one handling the billing. I then had ask again for for my questions to be answered. Sarah then responded with information about their pricing.
Once my cat was euthanized, she was brought in by my family where she was held for a week for a scheduled private cremation. My mom said they were very respectful about giving my family time to be with my cat in a separate room before leaving when they were ready.
When my family returned for the private cremation, they were able to say their final good byes before my cat was put in the cremation chamber with her toys. It was definitely worth doing private for my family’s wishes. My parents came back to pick up her remains. I contact my mom asking for a photo, and she sent a picture of a cardboard box. I asked her where was the urn, and she said their was no urn. My parents didn’t know better.
I was livid. My cat’s remains had been put in a plastic bag in a cardboard box when I had been told that she would receive a complimentary cedar urn, and we’d paid for the most expensive cremation option. My mom told me that she was told by a man working there that that would cost extra. I had an email and a website saying otherwise. My mom then had to call, and my dad had to go pick it up. I am told that the phone conversation was something like ‘we had assumed you didn’t want it since you bought an urn’. An urn that wasn’t arriving for two months and a cedar urn that was already paid for. Completely conflicting information!
I can just say the process was pretty frustrating on my end and I really wish it had been handled better. For all the grieving pet parents, it is hard but please make sure you have all the information you need in order to make sure your pet is treated the way you wish. It is your last gift to them.

The staff at Forget-​Me-​Not are outstanding. The kindness and compassion they show to you during such a difficult time your life will not be soon forgotten. We have had the unfortunate experience of losing both of our girls within three months of each other, after nearly 10 years as a part of our family. Forget-​Me-​Not returned our Juno to us in the most beautiful cherry photo urn, and we will be picking up our Lily this Friday. It brings more peace than you can imagine to see your pets on a daily basis, even after they are gone.

Losing a pet is an incredibly painful experience and throughout each step of the process, Forget Me Not demonstrates incredible support and understanding. They go above and beyond in everything they do. I worked with Ralph, Don and Sarah and they were all excellent. The urn is beautiful, I love the flowers and the receipt confirms that my cat was cremated with her favorite toys, as I had asked. I shopped around quite a bit before choosing Forget-​Me-​Not and I know I made the right choice!

Our beloved Lina passed away last week after a brave five year battle with cancer, such that five years ago she was given 3 months to live. I decided to get prepared, so 5 years ago, I called them up and asked for information. They were nice on the phone, I got worried again a few years ago, and called them to confirm they were still there so we’d be prepared– again they were good.
Anyway, we faced our sad loss last week when our fourteen year old girl passed away peacefully at home. I called them again, and experienced the comfort of hearing a kind empathic voice on the phone and made our arrangements for Lina. We opted to deliver the body ourselves. When we arrived we were greeted by Vince. He and his staff were wonderful. We met and spoke with 3 or 4 people who worked there and each was comforting.
In the end, we thought the pricing was very reasonable also– though we have no standard of comparison. We are grateful for all they did for us– I saw it was described well in another review here. Thank you.

My darling doggie recently passed away and I was very impressed with Forget Me Not. I left the vet on a Sunday in a daze, holding a pamphlet for FMN. I called them on Monday and the woman I spoke with was very kind, telling me she was sorry for my loss in a very sincere way. The conversation was as un-​awkward as that conversation can be and the woman was very careful to call Dempsey «she» and explain the whole process without too much detail. When I picked Dempsey up from the vet only 5 days later, the box was packaged with a certificate, a copy of The Rainbow Bridge and a packet of Forget-​Me-​Not seeds. Everything was delivered as promised and the service was great. I hope you never have to use them, but if the time comes, FMN is highly recommended.
