American Insulation

We contacted American Insulation to add more insulation in our attic and we could not have been happier. April was very pleasant and informative on the phone, and Owen and Rick did a wonderful job. They were punctual, courteous, and very clean! We can already tell a difference in the temperature of our home and are looking forward to cheaper utility bills! I would highly recommend them!

I was referred to American Insulation by a friend and plan on sharing this outstanding company with any friend of mine! April was an amazing source to answer questions from the moment I called for an estimate to the day after my house was completed to ensure satisfaction. She was always available to answer a wide variety of questions and understood the obstacle I faced within a home almost 100 years old!
Owen and his colleague defined professional as well! My old, often headache inducing home, is now at the comfortable temperature I always dreamed it could be. Although unforeseen additional work was necessary, it was not only completed the same day, but without an item out of placed upon completion.

This winter was BRUTAL on our 60+ year old house!!! I purchased the house about a year and a half ago, and man do these inspectors miss a lot in their reports just to push the sale of the house on behalf of the Realtor. Case in point, nothing was mentioned about the existing insulation in our attic (or lack there of), which Owen from American Insulation pointed out as being vermiculite. This element was used many a years ago before the pink panther decided to change careers, and can be known to contain asbestos, really something I wish the inspector would have informed us of, especially since we have a newborn.
Our problem on the outside of the house was lack of insulation that caused heat to escape quickly from our attic. This allowed snow to rapidly melt from the second story roof onto the first floor roof, causing damning and giant icicles to form onto the gutters. I knew after this winter that we had to address the attic situation with more insulation.
Owen did a fantastic job of giving me options to test the existing vermiculite for asbestos and remove the material, which can be a very expensive process. However, his recommendation was to blow insulation over the existing vermiculite, cut a few more vents in the roof to ensure proper ventilation, and seal up the attic door.
A couple days later now and our home already feels a lot warmer than before. We have already found ourselves turning down the heat. Thank you Owen and American Insulation!!! We look forward to saving some money when the cold strikes again!

American Insulation did a great job on my house. Owen is a hands on guy from the time he came to the house to view the scope of the project through the installation and completion of the project. He is a true professional and takes pride in his work.

I was incredibly impressed by this company. Owen came out to look at our project and was honest and informative. I appreciate that he approached the project as a problem solver, even though the solution that he identified and provided us with didn’t result in an immediate sale for him. He also explained that there are different types of insulation — and he told us the pros and cons of what he sells and what he could do, while explaining the benefits and drawbacks of other insulation types. This was incredibly refreshing, especially since the other company we had come out downplayed all other insulation types — and presented his product as the only thing needed to solve our problems.
I recommend American Insulation as a company — and as soon as we are able to afford to «do the job right» (which is a way bigger project than just insulation) we’ll be calling American Insulation.
