Great Clips

I get a very cold vibe from this place. The staff appears genuinely disinterested in cutting hair. They sit you down, rush you along, and send you on your way. Unfortunately, more often than not, you’ll wind up trying to convince yourself the haircut isn’t THAT bad… until your friends and family start asking how your recent fight with the lawn mower went.

I was nervous to come to Great Clips because I’ve heard so many horror stories. However I took a chance and ended up being pleased with my haircut. The women next to the register on the right was polite and efficient. I noticed her moving fast during my haircut but she wasn’t rushing. For $ 15 I can’t complain, the stylist did exactly what I wanted and it didn’t cost me $ 60.
I could not give 5 stars because while I was waiting I noticed the product shelves and waiting room was not clean. The product had dust all over it and was unorganized. The sign taped to the front desk was crooked. When you walk in to any hair salon I feel cleanliness can be most important.

I came in very close to closing, but they took me anyway. I believe my barber’s name was Joe and he was excellent — really friendly and gave a great haircut. I paid exactly half of what I did at a local place, and it was just as good.
When I was leaving he gave me some reading material of his own for the road because it related to what we were talking about. I’ll be back for sure.

I’ve been coming here for a while, but the recent staff members do not seem to know what they’re doing. I got a lopsided haircut with what looks like two bald spots on the back of my head. It’s difficult to screw up a simple clean up this badly, never coming here again.

I’m sure there are some good stylists. But a friend and I both went here with our girlfriends, and received haircuts that were rushed, lopsided, and unsatisfactory. This was especially disappointing because we were the only ones in there, and all it would’ve took is a little more time and effort. All four of us agreed that the haircuts were so bad we could not pay for them. It looked like a drunk person’s first haircut. We nicely explained the situation and they threatened to call the cops for theft of services, when really this was a disservice. Astounded by the threat of police, we paid and left. It was a terrible experience and no one should ever go here and have to experience something similar.

Located convenient to me and they rock the coupon mailers. Good coupon mailers keep my business here because the haircuts are half price. The haircut quality fluctuates depending on who you have cut. Tip — The girl closest to the register on the right does pretty good work.
Addtl Tip — If you do not have a coupon, there are two options — 1) they accept all competitor coupons 2) Jewel register receipts have applicable deal sometimes (there is a Jewel less than a mile from this location but can’t pick what deal you get on the back of your receipt)
They do have mobile app for appt/​wait option if you wish to plan ahead.

Been here 5 times and each time I had the worst haircut of my life. I think they hire anyone that applies and just make them watch a video in how to cut hair. Cheap haircuts. You get what you pay for. Never again

I really wanted to give 1 star after my last haircut, but overall, it’s just a complete russian roulette with how your haircut will go. Here’s the percentages in case you’ve never been.
25% of the time — Great haircut, somebody actually is paying attention to what their doing and don’t screw up for 10 mins.
50% of the time — average — looks the same as when you came in, but shorter.
25% of the time — horrible, looks like a blind monkey took a dull cutlass and started slicing and hacking your head.
So I thought the last time (yes it’s probably the last time I“ll go) I had hit the 25% good haircut– the lady was friendly and attentive and pretty cute too. So I told her «a little off the top and sides»
I guess what she heard was «cut the front way too short and give me a half mullet and half buzz cut on the back»
Now, to be fair I have a cowlick which makes the back of my hair pull to one side on the back, so it’s not going to stay straight unless you cut it higher on one side. But I clearly explained this to the lady and so while it looked straight as I walked out of there, about 5 mins later it was so crooked my eyes crossed just looking at it.
I had to go back a few days later and another lady (grudgingly and with attitude) fixed my horrible haircut for no charge. (hence the 3 stars instead of 1)
Anyway, you should know what type of chances you’re taking with Great Clips just so theres no surprises.

Its seriously hit or miss. I never know whether I’m going to walk out liking or hating my cut. It’d b nice if some one could do a damn mid reg for cheap

Me and my son got haircuts there yesterday. It was fine, but for $ 14 (my haircut), I got no shampoo. Huh? even Hair Cuttery does that… I’d probably go back again only b/​c they didn’t «ruin» my hair and it’s convenient.

So there are two different folks who I encountered that gave me haircuts at great clips. One was this really rude and crappy asian lady, and the other was this awesome woman from Mississippi who did a fantastic job and was a great person.
Obviously I’m saying avoid the asian lady.
