JCC ‘Z’ Frank Apachi Early Childhood

As a family we faced a major challenge of separating our son from his twin brother into a different preschool. At the same time, we were notified just before the Apachi school year was to start that there was a change in staff and that they were hiring a brand new teacher and assistant for our son’s new class room. Apachi staff and teachers helped to make the transition go smoothly and the classroom mothers were fantastic in participating in many play dates at our respective homes so that our little one would feel more comfortable at school with all of his new friends. The teachers quickly acclimated themselves and my son has bonded so nicely with the teachers and the kids. We just had our parent teacher conference and I couldn’t be more pleased with the great report our son is doing on an academic and social basis. He is definitely ready for kindergarten and we have been told that he is among the top 3 in several key areas of learning. He has also strengthened his Jewish identity and really enjoys the holidays in such a special way. So far so good, hope to end the year with 5 stars.

So far so good with our son’s first day of pre-​school here. He loves his teachers! It was hits first day away from home without us or a babysitter. I would give them five stars, but didn’t feel like we were on the same page as the school about expectations. The other schools we looked at were transitional and that’s what it seemed like this would be. When we arrived at school, the teacher said, he’s not crying, just go. When we picked him up, they said he asked for mommy and daddy, but did not cry. On the way home he said bye school!!! He seemed to love it and the parents in the class we have met are great. This is just the beginning!!!
