If you’re looking for help for your family member, you really can’t find an agency anywhere else that is as caring and compassionate as the people I worked with here. I worked as the Client Service Coordinator for Senior Helpers in Northbrook from March 2012 to May 2015. Regrettably I had to end my employment due to my husband’s military relocation orders. I really enjoyed being part of the team during such an exciting time of growth and appreciate the opportunity to work with such wonderful colleagues over the past few years. I was able to see and be part of the company expanding from moving offices, to hiring new staff and growing in cliental. I cannot explain how much care the whole staff puts into hiring and placing caregivers for each individual client. We ensured that we match the right caregiver to the appropriate client. Not only did the caregiver meet the recruiter for an interview but he/she also sat down multiple times with Abbie and myself for pre-hiring meetings in which we wanted to ensure we understood their skills, abilities and personalities. A lot of caregivers have been with Senior Helpers for many years and it’s because we were able to match them with the right client and they made a wonderful connection. Bob’s father was a client, Abbie’s own mother is a client currently and Ellen, Social Worker, her grandmother is currently a client as well. They deal with the agency end and also deal with it on a personal basis therefore they can relate to the family members. The staff would work nights, weekends and holidays to ensure the best quality of care was given, someone was always on-call 24⁄7. Yet if ever needed assistance each staff member was just a call or text away, they were all willing to help. Bob was always there to answer my phone calls at 4AM when I needed guidance with a client emergency. Colleen, Client Services Leader, went to a client in the peak– morning hours because a caregiver needed help. At times this industry would cause stress, but hanging in there was easy because we had Bob and Abbie who never just dictated the Senior Helper’s mission they lived it each and every day. Bob, Abbie and the whole staff really became my family. I will never find a better work environment or better bosses. Your loved ones are in good hands with the all the Senior Helpers staff.

I contacted Bob Tucker at Senior Helpers for a short term need for my 92 year old mom. For 4 weeks we had 24 hr care. Her main caregiver Korta was fantastic. Helpful, caring, concerned — I was extremely pleased with her. On Korta’s day off, the two different caregivers were equally good. One was brought in on short notice when the scheduled person had a conflict. No problem. The owner, Bob Tucker, is very helpful and will go the extra mile to be sure everything is great.

My family hired this company to help my father when his wife got sick. The girls are consistent, competent, compassionate and patient. I would recommend this agency to those who need live in people for care of loved ones. Very thorough honest people working for my dad in a crisis.

i have been using the care of 3 co.‘s over the last 2yrs and have found a great caregiver thru this co., but be warned… if the care person lets this co. know in advance of an absence or last min., they will make little effort to send a qualified person to fill that gap. i have had to find alt. decent care solutions on my own. my mother was recently not fed during a «fill-in», 6.5hr shift. the co. lied as their defense but the afternoon shift from another service found a dehydrated, shaky senior. the co.‘s advice was to install hidden cameras. sad if you ask me.
