Very sweet bookstore with used and new books intermingled. There were cute little book reviews from the staff taped to the shelves making me want to buy more books than I can actually afford. There was a very nice gentleman working there who asked if I needed help then let me browse. I needed help because not all the shelves are labeled with the subjects, but I’m a librarian so I like my books super orderly

This is a gem of a bookstore with great wingback leather chairs and oriental carpets on the floor. The selection of new and used books cover a wide spectrum and leans away from best sellers by offering many eclectic titles in typical campus town areas. This is definitely a browse and discover kind of old school book store. I was drawn to a older book of Sherlock Holmes parodies and essays. Sat with it a bit to read through it a bit and decided to purchase it. This is how book buying should be. If you are in Northfield this is the bookstore the downtown strip needed.
