Golden Corral

i just moved here from Atlanta Ga… and I was excited to see a Golden Coral in my neighborhood… let me explain… the Golden Corals in Atlanta Ga… had every kind of foods for breakfast and other meals out from the time they open till closing… always very good… cooked to perfection and always hot. fried chicken very crispy and juicy inside… veggies and rice or potatoes always fresh and hot… hot rolls and biscuits always out and hot and baked to perfection… always someone at the grill ready to cook a steak or whatever else is provided and cooked as you like it… breakfast items were always being replaced when the pans looked almost empty… the staff was on top of everything… the cooking staff always asking if there was anything they could do to make a meal better for you…
Then…my boyfriend and I went this last Saturday to Golden Coral for the first time. all ready to enjoy a breakfast knowing the experience from Atlanta… well it didn’t end up that way… needless to say… I will never return to this Golden Coral. we arrived at 9:50am.and paid and went to sit down… then we went and got silverware and plates and some still had dried food on them. then went up to the food and well… nothing was hardly there… most of the pans were emptied and not being replaced… I don’t eat eggs and had a hard time finding fresh pancakes or waffles that were not hard as a rock. like they had been sitting there… found the biscuits were not even brown enough on top and sausage gravy… people it is suppose to be white… not brown gravy… really was a bad experience… couldn’t reach the ham and no one to carve it for me… no one was at the grill to make fresh french toast… and the worst thing. I went to get apple juice and it was hot and sour like it was old… I have talked with the manager of the Atlanta Golden Coral and was very shocked of how it was… I will not be going back to Golden Coral… I didn’t even want to give it a 1 star rating because it was a bad experience…

The only reason why I’m even giving it one star is because you have to in order to write a review. I love food and I’m pretty easy going it’s not really much that I won’t eat or don’t enjoy eating so for my birthday it was decided we would just go to Golden Corral to enjoy a buffet style dinner, to my surprise and shock there wasn’t really a lot to choose from and everything that was out did not look that enticing the one thing that was pretty decent was the pot roast and when I got ready to go back for a second helping they had already put the new pot roast out but for some odd reason it didn’t taste as good as the first one, the only other thing that was good was the cotton candy but of course they seemed either stingy or too lazy to fill the bag up completely, my boyfriend and stepfather even complain that the ice cream had no taste, how in the world can you possibly mess up ice cream he also wrote his own review, in both our opinion and my family unfortunately we will never return to this Golden Corral we may try the one on Brookpark and if that’s not good then it just looks like there is no golden corrals in Ohio

No stars should be given I had to give a star just to post absolutely horrible… even the ice cream was terrible… how do you mess up ice cream… the one good thing was the cotton candy but they were stingy with that only filling the bag up a little… we will never go back

Gross. This place is dirty. Every surface and utensil feels crusted and sticky. I left feeling disgusted that I actually ate the food and fed it to my children. While there is a wide variety of dishes, none actually looked appetizing and most tasted worse than they looked. Salad bar items were frozen blocks. Pumpkin pie was oddly translucent.

I love just about every buffet known to man but you couldn’t drag me back here even if the food was free. The restaurant is dirty and the food is lousy. I’ve never been to another Golden Corral (although I’ve been to this location 3x) to know if this is par for the course but this place is just plain nasty.

Never thought Golden Corral can be this bad!
We went for a dinner at GC, not expecting the most delicious food in the world or anything, but decent and edible.
There are so many things just soooo bad at this restaurant…
First, the restaurant is not clean. There are spaghetti sauce poured all over the pasta and gravy all over mashed potatoes.
Second, the salad bar was such a mess!!! I couldn’t tell which salad was which, they were all mixed with each other. I couldn’t eat it… no one ever refilled the salad bar the entire time we were there.
I mean. the list goes on and on.
Mac and cheese were old, soups were old, there was not one clean tong available to grab the food, steaks were sooooo chewy… just bad.
Only thing good was my kids enjoyed cotton candy. We will probably never ever dine at GC in Ohio.

The Food really starting to get better, And that chef on the grill with the glasses is amazing best thing going ever since I been coming to golden corral, his presentation for his food, and them steaks speechless keep up the Good work#proud customer

The Food is getting better, can’t please everybody, it’s a all you can eat buffet not a fancy Restaurant, can’t always expect everything to be spectacular, especially dealing with hungry customers aslong as I could get varieties of food on my plate, then I’m satisfied good job chefs !!!

Horrible food. County jail severs better food. The place is filthy dirty including the workers.

Step right up and barf away! If you are looking for an effective binge and purge weigh loss plan this is the place for you!
First let us entertain you in our line of agony while one person gets your drink and takes your money. This thrill ride of a line only lasts 10 minutes if there is only one family a head of you. (and its included in the price)
Next imagine the look on your dates face when you hand her a clean plastic plate and silverware with crusty residue on it. But don’t worry. The residue doesn’t show up on the knives because there are no knives to be found. (Awesome)
Now once you cross the room dodging folks and napkin debris on the floor you can make way to the buffet! Imagine all the nostalgia you will feel when you go up to the buffet and what should be a mix of baked fish, chicken, and meats. If a selection of stale breakfast items! (left over from Monday morning brunch buffet?).
Feat your eyes on crusty eggs, syrup that has congealed, and other things you experience in the government lunch program in your old elementary school. Cheese sandwich anyone?
Not into breakfast? Why not grab a slice of gristly, crunchy ham or nom descript fried chicken?
Then when you have had your fill of such wonders head to the chocolate fountain where the cute little rug rats who picked their noses are sticking their fingers and licking it. Hmmm hmmm can’t wait to have some of that.
So like I said. Best diet plan out there. You come in, loose your appetite, and what you are you loose in the parking lot. Awesome!

Went here on a Saturday afternoon and the buffet was wiped out of all of their breakfast and salad selections did not see any employees trying to keep it stocked other than the cooks trying to keep up at the carving station dessert selection was very empty as well

This is the worst place to eat! The food is just horrible! I went for dinner & was looking forward to the salmon they’ve been advertising however, I wouldn’t feed it to my dog that’s how bad it looked. My husband went for the prime rib & was served what looked like dried up beef roast. We spent $ 35.00 on crap! We will NEVER go there again!

The food is terrible. I went here for breakfast and they couldn’t even get that right. I mean how do you screw up bacon and eggs? I dislike this place so much that when my in laws came down they insisted we go there, I faked being sick so I wouldn’t have to go.

This place is the worst of the worst. Bad food, dirty, over priced, hair in food, just bad. I will never go there again! I wish I would have done a walk through before paying.

Food is always tasty and service is good. I really wish the dessert table had more options for the chocolate fountain. Marshmallows and pretzels are not enough! Where are the strawberries? Another complaint would be allow made to order steaks during lunch. I came for the sole purpose of eating a steak a few rolls and a salad. The guy told me they didn’t make made to order steaks until 4:30! So lame!

The food was great I liked the brocli soup dipped with French fries I was glad they had pink Cotten candy last te they had blue I was looking forward to chocolate covered coconut and chocolate covered strawberries but food was good just not a big desert place

One star for the waiters because thats all this place has to offer.
I went on a Friday around lunch hour just to hear a cook talk about how he doesnt know what he’s doing and the fact that he’s never cooked in his entire life. I looked over at my mother and told her «and thats why our meat is so tough and burnt».
Every time i get up to get silverware, i have to search and search for clean spoon or fork. Its like they dont wash them off before putting the it in the dishwasher. All of them typically have food particles caked on. I eventually started to bring my own forks from home when my family and I go here.
The salad and fruit bar is miserable as it is at every buffet. The desert bar looks delicious but the flavors are not there. To be honest, it taste like their cake came out of a health factory with its bland artificial flavors. Never get banana anything since you’ll most likely catch a bad case of the runs. Their pizza use to be okay. I just happened catch the bad day where it was burnt. You know, thanks to «the man who signed up to cook with 0 experience in the kitchen.»
The bathrooms are disgusting. Everything had piss all over it and the sinks were horrifying.
Never go to this place on a Sunday. You wont walk 4 steps without bumping into someone.

I loved this Golden Corral! In my opinion, it is the best one in the Cleveland area. The servers were friendly and attentive. The bathroom was clean, and the food was great! I loved the catfish and hot wings! They were not typical «buffet» quality. They were well seasoned, and very tasty.
I added a lobster tail for $ 4.99, and the server gave me a carry out box to bring it home in, because I was too full to finish eating it! If you mention a carry out box in other buffet restaurants, the servers flip out – assuming that you want to take buffet items home.
Additionally, I enjoyed the Mac and Cheese, the fruit bar, the pork seasoned pinto beans, collard greens, fried okra, broccoli with cheese sauce, fried chicken, dinner rolls, and mashed potatoes with gravy.
For dessert, I sampled and enjoyed strawberries dipped in chocolate, hand packed butter pecan ice cream, vanilla soft served ice cream, chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies.
Everything was fantastic! Bring your appetite and enjoy!

I can’t believe how dirty this restaurant was. I Would highly recommend they employees and Managers take a ServSafe class and get certified. There were 6 of us eating here and none of us finished our meals.

Since they closed their locations in Stow and Montrose, we’ve been coming here. Food is always great ! ! ! Service is good. We did find out that unless you like crowds don’t go Saturday evenings. (G) It is packed ! But that is a sign of a good place to eat.
