I stopped into Kelly’s Bake Shoppe a few years ago and now its been my permanent bakery at the Jersey shore every since! Kelly is awesome and is always pleasant! I love the chipwich she makes and her peanut butter pie is the best around!!! I just started to eat gluten free and she also bakes some gluten free stuff. Stop by this great bake shop and I promise you won’t be disaapointed. I am sometimes afraid to walk in because anything peanut butter will be leaving with me! Thanks Kelly for baking so great!

I would like to express my utter disappointment in this establishment. I ordered a custom made cake a month prior to my event, with explicit instructions. I discussed the details with Kelly on the phone and through email. Pictures were exchanged and I had thought everything was crystal clear. When I arrived to pick up my cake, the bakery was warm and the buttercream on my cake had already started to melt. The kids working at the counter touched the sides of the cake onto the box when placing it in the box, and smeared some of the icing. The fondant numbers at the top of my cake appeared as if they were created by a child. I called Kelly to discuss this with her and got nowhere. She said«thanks for your input» and hung up on me. I will make sure to never recommend this place to ANYBODY. I wouldn’t pay $ 10 for this cake if I knew it would turn out like this. Looks like a few hundred bucks in the drain now. If anyone is considering buying a cake from here, feel free to send me a message so I can show you pictures beforehand. It’s no wonder they don’t post many pictures on their site. I should’ve known. Thanks Kelly for being so professional!

Have given many mixed boxes of cupcakes as gifts to friends and neighbors. Everyone loved them. I have had cookies and birthday cakes made here and have always been pleased.

I tried a bunch of their cupcakes this past saturday(They even made a few I requested which I really appreciated) They were all fresh, and the flavor combos all worked well. The staff was very friendly and was knowledgable. Out of all the flavors I tried, my favorite was the cannoli cupcake. Overall I was very impressed, and would order again.

Well, um, I wish I could tell you which cupcakes I picked up from Kelly’s Bake Shoppe this morning, but I don’t know their names. Neither did the employee running the front of the house. Neither did the baker(I presume) working in the back. I dropped in at about 10:30am looking for, what else, some Red Velvet! Unfortunately, there was not a crimson morsel to be found in this place. In fact, there wasn’t much of anything to be found at Kelly’s Bake Shoppe. The cases were pretty barren. A few pastries, a few cookies, a few cupcakes. I find it reaaalllyy hard to believe that Kelly’s is doing such a bang-up business that they’re just low on inventory by that time of the morning. Given the skimp stock, I’m lead to question the freshness of what WAS being offered. Anyway, I inquired as to the flavor of a cupcake in the case that looked to me to be chocolate peanut butter. «Oh, I’m not really sure. I didn’t think to ask her(Kelly) what the flavors were when I came in.» No? Was I supposed to figure that out for you? «It looks like peanut butter,» I offered. At this point, the woman asked a guy in the back to come up and take a look. He surmised it may have been caramel, but I was pretty sure it was peanut butter. I ended up taking one of those, and one with half an oreo on top. I should have asked her what flavor that was ;) The price was clearly listed on a chalkboard by the register – $ 4 per cupcake! I better be able to cure cancer, or create world peace, or solve the riddle of the sphinx when I’m done eating a $ 4 cupcake. Outrageous! So now here I sit, having eaten half of each cupcake. I was not able to cure cancer, or create peace, or solve the riddle of the sphinx. The oreo cupcake was okay. The icing was a little harder than I expected(refer to speculation as to the freshness of the cupcakes), but it had a nice flavor. The cake wasn’t too dry and tasted very chocolate-y. The peanut butter cupcake(YES I was correct) was much better. The cake was moister, the icing was fudge drizzled with salty sweet peanut butter, and the inside had a peanut butter filling. Very good, but still not worth $ 4 a pop. The product was decent. The shoppe itself was kind of a mess; it looked like they had just moved in, however… they’ve not just moved in. Not nearly enough product, and not nearly creative enough product to induce me to come back. And the staff was 0 help.

Ordered a variety of cupcakes for my daughter’s 8th birthday. I’m not sure who liked them more, the kids or the parents! The Oreo was a big hit, as was the Cannoli and of course the amazing Chocolate cupcakes with smooth chocolate ganache inside. My favorites were the Mango Tango and the Raspberry Lemonade! Everything tasted amazing and so fresh. I’m glad I grabbed a couple of business cards, because everyone wanted to know where the fabulously delicious cupcakes were created. Thank you Kelly for knocking everyone’s socks off!
