My husband recently purchased a certificate from Living Social to have our bathroom painted by Future Finish. The price seemed great and we were very excited hoping we had found a reputable business to use to paint other rooms in our home. So we started small to see if they would be good. My husband called and made an appointment and asked the receptionist(the owners wife) if the owner was going to come and give an estimate and she stated that he didn’t need to, it’s a small enough job and he could do it within the three hours the job Lists on the certificate. The day of the job, the wife calls and leaves a message, less than an hour before the job was going to start and said the painter couldn’t make it he called in sick. My husband immediately tried to call back and was sent into voicemail. He tried several times and no one picked up or called back after he left several messages. After two hours of waiting, he decided to fill out the feedback survey that Living Social sent two days prior to the start of the job. Needless to say, it was not favorable. Within thirty seconds of sending the negative survey, he FINALLY received a call from Jimmy the owner begging him to take down the survey and that he would send someone after lunch. When the guy showed up my husband asked him for an estimate and the painter said that should have been discussed beforehand. He started the job at one o clock this afternoon and didn’t finish the three hour job until seven. When it was complete, Jimmy called and asked if we liked it and we said yes and he then proceeded to ask for additional funds because the job was bigger than they thought and it was half of what he would normally charge for a bathroom. Isn’t that what Living Social is about, to provide a premium service at a reduced price so businesses can show their work and gain more customers? Jimmy and my husband argued back and forth for a half hour and in the end, we paid the additional money. That wasn’t the issue the issue was the complete and utter unprofessional attitude displayed by Jimmy. We are happy to pay top dollar for a job, but in the future Jimmy, start doing estimates for the jobs you post on Living Social and don’t Try to pull the old bait and switch and charge more money, especially when you were asked several times if there would be be additional costs. And do not argue with the customer that you inconvenienced for an entire day. A note to Living Social, start screening the businesses you put on your Website. Future Finish made you look as Unprofessional as they are.

I purchased a Living Social for Future Finish Painting in CT and they NEVER showed. After they did not show for the first appointment, I rescheduled for a few weeks later, I repeatedly called to remind them of this appointment, not only did they never show for the second appointment, they also never answered their phone, and, never returned my call.
