Buddy’s Rib and Steak

The food is great! We stopped by there every trip to back home. Which was pretty frequent until this incident!
The reason for the one star is as we were leaving the restaurant on out last visit, we saw a waitress get drinks (tea) from a table where the party had left and pour their tea (left over tea in the glasses left on the table) into a pitcher she was carrying and went over to another table and refilled their glasses!!! Since this incident, we have not stopped anymore. I was livid to say the least. I wanted to ask for the owner or manager but my husband said” leave it alone, we will never be back”. Its a shame because their food is great (5 star). I will never forget the waitress (pic taken). It’s some filthy people in this world!
The food is great tho! I would suggest to the owner to install cameras throughout to see what’s going on in your establishment!
One bad apple can destroy a life long dream!

I had breakfast at this place about three months ago, I am from Texas. I was working in Tuscaloosa for a week and found this place on my way to another place for breakfast. As I was driving past this place the parking lot was full at 0830, I had to stop. The service the best, the food was unbelievable I was sorry I could not try their suppers! Try this place u will not be sorry I miss it.

Breakfast here is good but greasy. The steaks are hit and miss but usually they are ok. Interesting staff, friendly country waitresses. Good cheeseburger.

This is a very friendly local place. I had the large cheeseburger and fries. It was okay. Nothing special, but not bad. I wouldn’t stop here again on my way through town only because I’m sure there are hidden gems waiting for me to find.
If you are a Crimson Tide fan you’ll love the décor and clientele.
The waitresses were wonderful and quick with the tea refills.

Good burgers. A fair steak. It ain’t the Ritz, but it does not have to be. Sometimes it’s nice just to sit down in a «regular place» and be served by nice folks and have a good meal, without pompous staff and «discerning» diners. Hey, it is what it is and it’s not trying to be anything else.

This place has delicious steak, ribs & barbecue for reasonable prices as well as pretty good service. However, my husband & I ate there last night. We ordered sweet tea to drink. The server brought us unsweetened tea & upon her return, my husband asked if they serve sweet tea. She then decided to inform us that they just hadn’t sweetened it yet. We both had steak as our entrée. They brought out our sides before the meal & our bread WITH the meal. I ordered my steak well done & my husband ordered med. well. When our entrees arrived, his was well done & mine was relatively bleeding.
The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the prices were fair & our server was friendly. We’ll try this place again, I’m sure. Only, next time, if they bring me a bleeding steak, I’m leaving.

I have been eating here almost 20 years. I used to know Buddy fairly well.
He sold it to a guy a few months ago. I met him in the store. He was a long time customer. He plans on no changes.
I love burgers and have eaten in a lot of the legendary places. I still swear this the best flat top burger. Hand cut fries too. The BBQ is a little different for Alabama, but it’s good too.
I have been here hundreds of times, and can’t recall a bad meal. This is man food. Don’t go looking for a low cal meal.
Buddy’s is in my all time top 5. Roll Tide.
