Absolutely love it here. The food is fantastic and the people that work here are overly friendly. I will continue to come here and enjoy the best Mexican food Northport has to offer.

My boyfriend ordered in person to go. I ordered the chicken burrito and he got the pork burrito. When I bit into my burrito at home I was horrified because it appeared the chicken was incredibly pink. I opened the entire burrito to find that every single piece was pink. I was so confused… how could it be this undercooked? I started to think it was pork instead. Since my boyfriend ordered pork I looked over at his burrito, the pork in his burrito looked like pulled pork. My pieces of meat were large cubes. I didn’t want to take the chance so I threw it out. My boyfriend ate his. His hardly had any pork in it. His stomach was upset the next day. The rice that I did try was extremely dry and tasteless. The chips were too salty and my boyfriend had to remind the guy that salsa comes with the chips… I don’t plan on ever going back and neither does he. I’ll post pictures later.

This place impacted me because of its cleanliness and great service. The food was good, we were a bit disappointed they had ran out of Steak on a Sunday afternoon, but no biggie, their ground beef was very tasty! The décor makes the place fun and unique. Will definitely come back

We stopped in for a quick bite between lunch and dinner. We split a quesadilla, it was pretty good just the meat was on the greasy side. The taste was pretty good but I put everything on it. I would come back to try some of the other things on the menu. This is more of a lunch spot or takeout friday dinner.

Truly amazing. They’ve managed to make mexican food sans flavor. Truly an accomplishment. Run, don’t walk to this establishment if you yearn for disappointment. It’s served up daily.

So, I’m so upset about cilantro… I had just had a good experience until today. I called in to place an order for delivery,(they’re grubhub is not working) I told the girl everything I wanted on my salad bowl and burrito. When I got my food delivered, I noticed that there was no rice in my bowl, it was a bunch of spinach, a little chi me and a little bit of beans and corn. My boyfriends burrito was missing the sour cream and the salsas he ordered. The chicken was season A LOT, way too much. I feel sick just after eating my bowl. Idk what went so wrong with cilantro but I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them anymore

I understand that Northport village doesn’t have a mexican place but this restaurant does not fill that void. I went there to get three regular chicken tacos. There was a special on the board that was like 3 for $ 12. The girl at the register tried to charge me $ 36 because I got 3 tacos! The flavor of the tacos were equally disappointing. It’s not very hard to throw some salsa lettuce cheese and meat into a tortilla but there was just something not right in the flavor of the chicken. I had to force it down and give the other tacos to my two friends who also didn’t like it. When I went in the staff seemed to not know what they were doing, there were papers all over the place and it just seemed disorganized. I later found out that the food at the restaurant was originally served at a PIZZA place and then moved and became its own restaurant. To me, it tasted like something you would expect from an Italian restaurant not a Mexican one.

A cute little place near the North Port bay. There’s a few seats inside and two tables outside. They’re very nice and there’s a good variety of veggies and fruits to add to your burrito bowl or whatever it is that you want. They do charge extra for mango and guacamole. When you check in you’ll get a free bag of chips woo-hoo !!!

I really enjoyed this eatery. It was a «homemade chipotle.» The vegetables were fresh, as was the meat. Really enjoyed the ability to customize your items like chipotle. They offered more variety than chipotle in terms of meats. They have tap beer for those who drink, and on-the-spot squeezed lemon and limeade for those who don’t do alcohol. All in all, this place lost one star in that it was very dated and didn’t feel as clean as it could have. It didn’t effect the food, just somewhat disappointing while eating(paint cracks, fading paint, not-spotless floors).

This is my boyfriend’s favorite burrito place, but I have mixed feelings. The staff sucks and doesn’t know much about food. The vegetarian chili is bland and is unfortunately the only meat-free option. Every time I go there my food tastes different and I am charged a different price for the same thing. Half the time the guac is included and the other half of the time its not. If I’m paying $ 10+ for a simple burrito, it better come with free guac and whatever the Hell else I want. Consistently bad: expensive, bland, inconsistent prices and taste Worst experiences: inedible brown guac, cold burrito, incorrect order The bright side: my boyfriend likes the pork

This place has got to go. I’m surprised it has lasted as long as it has. This past weekend I went in there for the second time– and only because my boyfriend wanted to try it out. The first time was about two years ago to grab a burrito. A burrito that was cold(even though I asked them to heat it twice because I like it hot) and tasteless. Way overpriced and the staff was rude too. Not to mention cash only. The place was also a bit messy but then I decided to just not go back and only go to Aunt Chiladas on fort Salonga instead from on. But alas I gave into my boyfriends request and we tried it once more. There were two people working there but no crowds so I figured we were good. After spending way too much time trying to explain what it was that we wanted(I guess it was hard to understand the concept of leaving out the cheese and sour cream and having to customize our order because of our food restrictions) I asked the guy if they had tostones and he didn’t even know what they were.(If you don’t know what they are, do yourself a favor, go to aunt Chiladas and order them– they’re life changing awesome dipped in guac). Then don’t even get me started on trying to pay. The guy in front of us was trying to pay for his order but the girl was soooo flustered and took FOREVER. The longer she took ringing him up the more flustered she got and so on. I felt for the girl but what I think might have happened was that the guy paid for MY food as well! She saw our food and I think put it on his tab and he was too annoyed by it taking so long that he didn’t even care and just wanted to leave. So then it was our turn to pay and without even excusing herself the cashier went to her phone to text someone and then went into the bathroom for a solid 10 minutes(not exaggerating). When she came back out(only after the other employee banged on the bathroom door for her to come out) she didn’t immediately ring us up but instead wiped her eyes and went BACKINTO the bathroom! I can’t even go on because it happened like this for a total of about 15 minutes just WAITING with our hot(now cold) food just to pay the overpriced crap we ended up ingesting. Tiny portions, overpriced, lousy service, dirty unkempt establishment. If I could have rated zero stars I would. I don’t know the owner but whoever you are, you should start reading these Unilocal reviews and make some changes to your business plan. You need to find a different food vendor because yours is awful, hire more experienced mature and serious staff(stop trying to cut corners by hiring 15 year olds), and check in once in a while to make sure the floors, bathroom, counters and tables are clean. You can’t open up a place and then abandon it for a newer model in Huntington. I don’t like leaving bad reviews without trying to improve and point out HOW to make it better– so that’s what I am doing. If Cilantros can get their act together I will update my review to reflect a potentially better experience.

The odyssey began when I simply called to place an order for delivery, but was told that it was cash only unless you want to use grub hub. I subsequently went on Grub Hub, where it took at least twenty minutes to merely order a few burritos as it makes you choose every possible option without allowing you to just select the standard unchanged item. This means you need to nonsensically select what tortilla you want, what type of rice, what type of salsa, what type of lettuce, etc etc. After painstakingly compiling an order, I was then forced to create an account and enter every bit of personal information under the sun. Then I entered my delivery address and my credit card number. After trudging through this gauntlet, a little message popped up that said Cilantro does not deliver to me, when I am only 4 miles away. Really? You wait until everything is done to tell a customer that. Frustrated and now nearly 40 minutes out, I went to an ATM, came back, and called. After explaining what had happened, the employee said yes 4 miles was too far away which is absolutely ludicrous. Sorry you don’t want your driver to go 8 minutes to deliver to a first time customer that has just gone through a sadistic easter egg hunt. Beware.

Decided to try this place yesterday for a quick dinner with a friend. Upon arrival, noticed the sign on the door was flipped to «Closed» despite them being open. That small detail might be one they shouldn’t overlook, for loss of business solely based on the sign. I walked in and the rainy, cold temperature outside seemed to continue on the inside — I was chilly. But, I still tried the food. I had a steak burrito. The ingredients did seem fresh, and I liked the fact that they pressed the finished burrito in a sandwich press, giving it a little crunch on some of the tortilla. The amount of ingredients was not stingy, and the service(only one employee working, doing both food prep and customer service) was friendly. However, the flavor of the ingredients left room for improvement. The rice, steak, and beans were almost completely flavorless, and the only reason I had any flavor at all was because of the cilantro, and the cilantro lime dressing I had added. I also had a side order of chips and medium salsa, which also left much to be desired. The chips were way too salty, and didn’t taste much like anything. I really wanted to love this place, and hoped the negative reviews could be disregarded, but the owner needs a serious overhaul on the recipes, a better handle on improving the atmosphere, and, without a change in the flavoring, about a 2 – 3 dollar reduction in prices of each item due to the lower quality. As a resident of the area, I hope to return during the summer to find some new life and vibrant flavor in this place.

Tried this place for a quick dinner this week for the first time. The staff were friendly and the place was clean and comfortable. We sat outside watching the sun set over Northport harbor since we had our dog with us. My husband had the chicken burrito and I had the chili beef burrito. Flavors were very good. Prices were very reasonable. Only reason we didn’t give 4 stars is the rice had a few uncooked/hard pieces in it. We would definitely come here again for a quick meal.

It’s like they’re trying to be Chipotle without the efficiency, good tasting chips, or fresh tasting food. This is not complimentary. They give you a few options for what goes into the tortilla and I unfortunately chose the pork. It was too sweet and not really shredded. Never again.

I hated this place. We dropped in for a quick lunch and I was so disappointed. I’d heard good things about it but it is not as billed. It is basically Chipotle without the flavor. The food was mediocre at best. The staff was disinterested in helping us and I felt like they were rather rude too. The booth we sat in was oddly large so that my daughter almost couldn’t reach and I even felt small in it. The décor is pretty and the place was clean, but if you are in Northport there are so many better places to go for lunch and if you are in Huntington Village there are so many better places to go for Mexican/Tex-Mex.

I stood on line for 10 minutes watching the only customer in front of me being helped by one employee while a second employee wondered about like the walking dead… For some reason I’ve given this place three chances. The food here is not good. The meat is always cold, they are stingy with the extras, and they charge way too much. A tiny pork salad coast me over $ 12.00 and I. Pulsar put guacamole on it because they ran out. My child is vegetarian and they have no real vegetarian protein option(like tofu). So one vegetarian burrito and one salad with two bottles of water I spent over $ 20.00. On top of it all, their chips were stale and and not tastey. In my opinion, Mexican food is probably one of the easiest styles of cooking, and it is unfortunate that cilantro can not deliver.

Cilantro’s is a new tex mex place created as an off shoot of a popular Nino’s Pizza at the other end of Northport Village. With some experience serving some tex mex now Cilantro’s is it’s own fun place. The first thing I liked was the name of one of my favorite herbs, and then the fresh limes added to the good fresh vibe of what tex mex needs to have. The store is bright and colorful and has a very friendly young staff.
