Losing its charm. Prices are going up and so is the quality. Staff can be rude and indifferent. Consistently ask for minor adjustments to salad like no onion or what not and it always gets ignored. Used to be my go to place but not anymore.

I love this place. You will find me there most Sunday’s with my little redheads, who adore the bakery as well. In fact we had a bit of a redhead reunion today with 6 of us at the counter at the same time! The staff is always friendly and the food is always fantastic.

This has easily become my favorite breakfast place on all of Long Island. For starters, there is outdoor seating, which leads to some beautiful views of Northport Harbor. This is second only to the Surf Room at Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki. The waffles are nice and fluffy, just as they should be. It doesn’t look or taste like it just came out of a cheap machine. My one complaint is if you opt for outdoor seating, they insist to put a table number and holder on the table. The wind just keeps knocking it over and it almost fell onto my food once. I’ve never waited tables before, but could they somehow keep track of four or so outdoor tables without the sign? Or somehow secure it, onto the table umbrella for example? But that’s no big deal. Overall, outstanding atmosphere, great service, great food. Give this place a try!

This bakery makes the best soups and breads. Honestly everything I have tried here is delicious. I recommend it to all! I am so happy my family moved to Northport and there is a wonderful bakery near by:)

I had a gathering of 12 people and I ordered two different soups and a tray of assorted sanwiches; the soups came with cookies and rolls. I cannot say enough about each item. The fresh vegetables in the soups and on the sandwiches tasted like they came right from the garden. The sandwiches were beyond delicious with unique flavors and the condiments on each sandwich were from heaven. The rolls, the cookies were the best we’ve ever had. Everybody raved about the food. The Copenhagen Bakery is truly a heavenly eatery!

Wow it’s really great to see this place at its full potential now that they are serving breakfast and lunch. This has always been a great bakery, with a great view. Came in for breakfast on a brisk morning and ordered the Copenhagen, the Tivoli omelette and Apricot crêpe on the side. Everything was fresh and full of taste with every bite. The coffee here is excellent and they have dairy free creamer. Service and seating is tight get here early if you want to avoid lines. This place defines the character of Northport.

Lovely bakery located in Northport village. More of a coffee shop than traditional bakery. They have sandwiches, salads and desserts to go. Cookie platters, pastries and muffins. Breads and rolls freshly baked each day. It gets super busy on weekends especially when the weather is nice. There is a small picnic area where you eat outside. Parking can be difficult so I would recommend parking in the municipal lot.

A very good bakery. Also great breakfast and other healthy foods. You can eat in at this bakery. Nice view of Northport harbor. They also have been very generous with donating cookies for an after running race treat to the Northport Running Club.

So so amazing ! Fresh, delicious food. Kelley helped us and couldn’t have been more accommodating and polite. She was extremely knowledgeable on everything Copenhagen has to offer and because of her wonderful service, my hubby and I will definitely be back.

Never, never in my life have I had a petite four that I did not like… until now. Sickly sweet and gummy… and I like sweet things. Also, tried the key lime square which they added a real lime slice as decoration ??? How about using a candied lime fruit slice rather than an inedible prop. Also tried a sourdough roll which I liked – crusty and sour. Last year had an inedible key lime pie that went in the garbage. Why do I go back? Possibly because it looks pretty and I forget the disappointment that follows from year to year.

As a local, this is my breakfast place to catch up with my family or friends. The Rosemary rolls are my favorite for my breakfast sandwiches. I usually get a small chocolate coffee(awesome) and a small black and white cookie too, which are always amazing. Yes– this place gets busy and it’s almost always full, but I usually do get a table. If not, a table or bench by the water across the road works too! I know most of the staff from school; they’re very nice, but you wouldn’t be able to stick around for a chat if you were working in the busiest bakery around. They do what they’re supposed to, as quickly as possible and that works for me.

Mostly decent bakery on the harbor front in Northport. In spite of it’s name, you really won’t find anything Danish here. Some of the pastries look like what you might find in Denmark. There is a large picture of Nyhavn in the dining area. Aside from that, the pastries are pretty good. You can also order sandwiches and salads as well, a bit pricey but they’re available and pretty good. Counter service is a bit stuffy too. It’s a nice bakery.

While a friend recommended this bakery I was a little disappointed compared to the many delicious bakeries across Long Island. The French macaroons were gummy tasting, not light and airy at all. The coffee cake my mom got had no flavor. Maybe there other offerings are better because it did smell delicious. Unfortunately sight and smell was better than taste.

I love this place so much. I have been going for years. I love that coffee refills is a $ 1.00. Their sandwiches and pastries are delicious. The service has been great, sometimes not too friendly, more curt, but I am totally cool with that.

Avoid at all costs, especially if you are not from the area. If you aren’t on line before they open then dont waste the trip because they are probably out of stock of anything you want. Very cold staff with short tempers. Rarely get an order right if you ask them to modify the menu item. For instance each time i have asked for no cheese after making it clear i am allergic, they have served me a sandwich with cheese on it and gave an attitude like it’s my fault have an allergy. Bottom line, over priced, poor service, poor management regarding supply, and for these reasons not deserving of more than a single star. Worst hash browns. I didnt realize you could mess up a potato ?! Ok so i tried again. 8:15 am on a friday. No croissants left. I was told i have to call ahead if i want something. What?! Done with this place for good. 5 strikes are too many

I always get way too excited when I see a bakery with any kind of Danish indication in its name, as truly Danish bakeries in Wisconsin are some of my favorites. But sadly, this often leads to some disappointment, just because my expectations get too high. Copenhagen was totally fine and very conveniently located. I liked that they had a little snack area with plenty of drinks. But sadly I was not overly impressed with their danishes or black & white cookies.

This nice bakery is nestled in the village of northport and it sports beautiful views of the water from the outside seating area but a side from the location everything I have eaten here has been just ok you would think for a bakery like this they would have higher quality goods maybe it is a personal preference but if I am going out with someone to sit and eat a pastry this place is great but if I was picking something up I would probably go somewhere else

A mistake by Copenhagen ruined a once in a lifetime event – my parents 50th wedding anniversary party – because they never delivered the cake. I grew up in Northport and I understand this is a local favorite so I didn’t think twice to entrust Copenhagen Bakery with my parent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary cake. I had ordered an over-the-top, two-tiered cake to be reminiscent of my parent’s wedding cake. I even hand-delivered a keepsake, porcelain cake topper and confirmed the order & delivery info in-person the day before the event. The day of the surprise party the cake was to be delivered before 6pm. When it hadn’t arrived, I called the bakery and received their recorded voicemail message that they were closed. There was no after hours or emergency call system(not that I’d expect that of a bakery, but it may have resolved the issue). I even drove to the bakery in hopes of finding an employee straggling behind, but no luck. At the party that night, there was a table designated to show off what would have been a showpiece of a cake, which sat empty. The cake cutting ceremony(like at a wedding) and photo opportunity with our parents also, sadly, disappeared. Can you imagine an event as special as a 50th Wedding Anniversary party with no cake? The next day, I sought out the owner of Copenhagen who was extremely apologetic and who said they had an operations error. They had the cake in the back so he gave me the $ 200 cake – a day late – with a sincere apology and full understanding that they could never make good on their error. To try to make it up, they sent a hand written note and $ 50 gift card for their bakery to my parents who, understandably, aren’t very interested in supporting that local business any longer. I hope this review keeps Copenhagen on task so they learn from this mistake and never let this happen to any of their other customers.

Very good bakery even though the staff weren’t super smiley or cheery but they were still very efficient and constantly taking care of the customers, and the place was very clean. I have had breakfast, coffee, and pastries from here and everything has been very good all the cookies and pastries we tried were very tasty and everything was uniform and looks great. Prices for what I have tried weren’t that bad and I have spent way more for way worse and the portions are also good sized. The breads and rolls they make in house are great(jalapeño cheddar rolls are excellent) Would and will come back

One of the very best bakeries in Nassau or Western Suffolk(I don’t know Eastern Suffolk). We’re talking top five. Egg sandwiches and BLTs are amazing, and worth whatever wait they make you wait. Don’t skip the potatoes that come with the sandwich. I have nothing bad to say about the baked goods. Nothing. All good things. I have to get a cake from these folks one of these days. Pro tip: can be super busy on weekends, especially when the farmers’ market is in town. If needing egg sandwiches, call in the order. Sure you’ll wait on line, but your sandwiches will already be processing. Enjoy!
