The snack bar is great, the course is very nice, the greens are the worst I have played on Long Island. Unless you are a 25+ handicapper, STAY AWAY!!! They are thick slow and bumpy as could be.
If they cut, rolled, fertilized and watered them the way Bethpage does, it would be a great track. I have been playing here over 35 years and these are the worst I have ever seen the conditions of these greens.
Everyone on the course was complaining about them.

The best golf course in Northport! Of course there isn’t much competition since the only other course within ear shot is at the VA Hospital and its a 9 hole, Par 35.
That being said, Crab Meadow Golf Course is actually a very good course. The 18 hole, Par 72 course is situated a few hundred yards from the beach. There are quite a few sand traps, and only a handful of water hazards, but the holes along side the marshes are where I lose the most balls.
At $ 74 on weekends for non-​residents w/​a cart ($ 54 for residents w/​a Town Golf Card) it’s a bit pricey, but they offer up Twilight rates after 4pm if you’re looking to save a few bucks and play fast.
Quick Tip: Consider bringing OFF, the horse flies can be murderous!
