Taco Casa was absolutely amazing a few years ago. Then one day when I ordered my Messy Nachos there was something different about it. It turned out to be the cheese. Either cheese prices skyrocketed and they had to make a quick business decision or they just started cutting corners on quality. Because the food has never tasted the same again. I now get stomach aches when I eat the food and farts are inevitable. For the price they charge and for the degrading quality I could make much better food myself. Two stars until you stop skimping on the quality.

I am giving this place a very subjective four stars. I love T-Town and I know that this place is special for most locals. I love the flavor of the food. I especially love the Taco Burger. Some of the menu items should probably be a bit bigger portion wise. Also, if you are a big guy like me, you are going to want to add chips and queso so don’t expect taco bell pricing.

I only put one star cause I couldn’t put less. This place is horrible! The food kinda tastes like plastic and the portion sizes are super tiny! It’s cheap and that’s about all. I had chips and salsa and I swear the generic Walmart brand chips and salsa is better than the gook I got. Also had their chili and could only eat 5 spoonfuls and had to load it down with crackers to just get that down! It looks and Tastes horrible! Go to a real Mexican restaurant if you want edible food! Or if you want fast go to Mc Ds! Anything is better than this!

Look, yes, it’s not authentic Mexican food so get that out of your mind and you wont be disappointed. I use the word Tex-mex very loosely but it’s sort of like an upscale taco bell. I have no idea why the meat tastes so great(probably because it’s actual meat) but they are pretty addictive. The burritos are warmed up in plastic wrappers but I don’t hold that against em. Just know what you’re getting into. Oh, if you love sweet tea, look no further. They have probably the best sweet tea out of any restaurant around the area. They have the tiny ice cubes that get it super cold!

Personal favorite in Alabama. Not real Mexican food, in the class of Bell, Bueno, or Cabana. But enjoyable every 3 to 4 months

I adore spicy food just like the next guy, American-hispanic food being the easiest to apprehend in this certain local. The service however varies with the individuals behind the counter, sometime sit is bellow par. I’m giving it a 4 star rating simply because I do enjoy the occasional enchilada that they serve… it could get a bit spicier though.
