This place is awful to say the least. So many gripes it’s ridiculous they get away with it! For one, they advertise a hot tub but it doesn’t work, hasn’t for the 8 months I have been here and they refuse to fix it. STOPADVERTISING it if it doesn’t work! It’s a cold tub, not a hot tub. The place is falling apart. Doors and gates don’t work. Some are just redundant. The elevator is now broken so I have to open two gates and walk to the back of the building with my bicycle and proceed up stairs and two more locked doors. Wow, getting home has never been harder and when I do, the halls are full of torn up pictures and frames, the carpet is gross looking, it either smells like urine or heavy duty cleaner fumes, and there is always a wet floor sign. Then, the door locks within my apartment break, the fan/light over the stove don’t work, the fridge they provided is small and bottom of the line, and the microwave is attached to the wall with brackets. Funny thing is that they would not let us see the actual apartment we were getting and showed us a similar one. Also the light switches and plugs sometimes don’t work and it’s also coincidentally in the only cell phone coverage blackhole in Northridge. The fireplace also doesn’t seem to work. Then when I want to leave this place it’s insanely difficult because all too often, when I pull my car out of the gate there is always a car parked awkwardly in the driveway and I have to proceed to strategically maneuver my car out of my own driveway and blindly pull into a busy street. If that is not enough, the management never makes me feel welcome as they always glare me down like i’m the anti-Christ. I’m a student, living next to my university. What do you expect? Either way, don’t judge me because i’m really the quiet, respectful kind of person that minds his own business and doesn’t bother anyone. The best part is the price. I just found out my neighbor signed a lease not to long before I did and they pay significantly less per month, have a larger apartment, better, less jenky-looking appliances, and a view of open space and trees. I, however, have a view of the wall of the next-door apartment within 10 feet, a dirty alley, and sun. Yet I pay more. Sounds fair to me, especially since the price is not by any means cheap. Don’t let the name draw you in. This place is far from being luxe.
