I ate here once and was pretty satisfied with there customer service and food was okay. The entrée I ordered wasn’t too bad but the all you can eat bar of lettuce, Mac & cheese, turkey squares etc. Was delicious. If & when I go back I will come mostly for that. A great place to take a pretty lady that you’re trying to impress with your wallet because this place is expensive ha but all around a decent place!

I ordered a tea with my meal, the tea is a dark color drink so it wasn’t till I was half way done that I see the cup has a huge lipstick stain and the cup it’s self was dirty, they served me a non washed dish cup. It was on a slow day so there was no excuse of a busy day accidents happen.

Loved this Location. Greeted as soon as we stepped in. Seated quickly and the waiter who was serving us was Amazing. We went here to celebrate our Anniversary(without the kids) and enjoy a wonderful meal and have a few of the Signature Drinks! Ramon Solorio(spelling?) was very helpful in choosing our drinks and clarifying our meal selections. He was very attentive to our dining experience and offered a little something special to help celebrate the night(totally unexpected)… Putting a Smile on my wife’s(our) face which I highly appreciate and value from a restaurant experience. I would like to take this opportunity to Thank the staff and Ramon Solorio’s excellent service. We will be back to this location and will request to be serviced by Ramon again.

I lovvvveeeeee Claim Jumper’s happy hour! The food is so good and even more delicious when you can wash it down w $ 5 cocktails and beer! I’m a snob when it comes to calamari because I hate when it’s rubbery, and I’ve had rubbery calamari at fine dining places. So imagine my surprise when I get perfectly cooked, melt in my mouth strips of delicious calamari! Please try these your next trip here! I also love the spinach and artichoke dip and those cheese potatocakes, yum! But honestly, the street tacos surprised me the most. Now ask anyone and I will send you to Tacos Delta on Sunset. But the grilled and fried fish tacos at Claim Jumper have made me a fan! They are so flavorful and perfectly spicy! If you don’t like spice I wouldn’t recommend because they do have a kick, but the are so good you won’t mind the tears. Besides happy hour the menu is great and portions are HUGE, a little bit pricey but worth it if you have he funds, you will have leftovers ;)

First I gotta say the service was great. The soup came out cold, and was still cold the second time. The dinners came out with cold vegetables as if pre cooked then left sitting out, red flag for food safety. My steak was ok, nothing special. It’s been years since I ate at one of these. I remember a far better experience. If the server wasn’t as good as he was I would have leaned more towards 1 – 2 stars.

Overall our experience was sub-par. The food was mediocre and overpriced for the taste; it wasn’t terrible, but we have had much better food at various diners and restaurants that don’t cost over 15 a plate. Everything I read said the portions are very big, but we did not get that experience. We could’ve gotten a bigger steak and cooked it at home for cheaper than what we paid. Our waitress was nice, but did not seem very informed regarding the ingredients of some of the food for dietary restrictions. I’m not saying a waitress needs to know every ingredient on the menu, but they should know if a side has dairy or not. One of us went to the salad bar and asked one of the employees about the different salad dressings. She replied shortly with«the names are on the handles». Well the names were just engraved into the handles, which were upside down and covered in salad dressing making them illegible. After this she then asked(unprovoked) with an attitude«do you need me to explain the ingredients or can i get back to work?» I don’t care how politely you can try and phrase that question, that is unacceptable. Ultimately, it wasn’t the worst dining experience we’ve had. The food was alright, and our main waitress was friendly. But there was no reason for us to come back again.

I love this place. Im suprised that it only received 3 stars. I would compare Claim Jumper to Cheesecake Factory, BJ’s, Wood Ranch ect… As far as quality and price goes. The interior is comfy, and warm. There is a fireplace in the waiting area. Its like being inside a cabin. The setting is intimate and dark as well, I enjoy dining here. The menu has so many options, they also have a full salad bar in the back. The food is famous for being delivered in large portions. Whatever you order, plan on bringing back leftovers! Plenty of parking, and located in a nice shopping center. You could see a movie after, walk the mall or go to one of the local restaurants for a drink after.

Thank you Northridge for restoring our faith in Claim Jumper. And to our delightfully cheery server Eve, much of the credit belongs to you! My wife and I mirrored each other with the same orders of BBQ Beef Ribs, with roasted veggies, mashed potatoes and a trip to the salad bar. We both had plenty to take home. Everything here, compared to our recent Santa Clarita Claim Jumper experience, would be like comparing gold to base metal. This is the Claim Jumper experience I remember so well.

I just got a to go order from this location and I won’t be returning. I’m pretty sure they just drench everything in salt and put it on a plate. The steak is the wrong temperature(why is it so difficult for restaurants to get medium well correct??), salty, and inedible, the gravy on the potatoes is salty… i’ll be throwing most of this away, which sucks because this was dinner.

3stars… Haven’t been here in years so we decided to give it a shot. This place is like a dungeon if tasty delights. We started with the salad bar and fully loaded our plates with greens and bountiful prepared salads. My fav was the potato salad that was loaded with egg! Because the portions are so large we shared the pot pie with dessert desires. The flaky crust topped the innards filled with veggies and chicken chunks. We didn’t really have room but w ordered the chocolate cake anyway. We did make dent in it, but still took nearly 5 lbs of cake home. Ambiance is literally cowpoke dungeon(it is super dark!!) and prices are inflated, but so are the portions! For the cake alone… this joint makes the list!

About 3 ½ stars. Mostly an okay experience. We’ve been to this Claim Jumper location a few times over the years. The one closer to us which was much newer has already come and gone; rather surprising. Just there the other night to celebrate Adored Grandson’s 12th birthday. The portions are famously oversized — always enough to share. Dear Hubby and I divided the Hickory Chicken with barbecue sauce(which I don’t especially remember tasting that flavor in the mix), Monterey Jack cheese, and sauteed mushrooms, plus mashed potatoes and green beans. Comfort food with some redeeming qualities, nutrition-wise. AG had the Black Tie Chicken Pasta. He had a ton of leftovers to last him the rest of the week! They brought a red velvet cupcake as a birthday treat for him, minus any serenading. Which was fine. It was chocolatey, but not to die for. Service was good; pretty attentive. Overall, everything was«okay», but just that. Nothing that would make you want to rush back. I guess CJ feels like it needs a refresh. The interior hasn’t been changed since it was built. It’s looking a bit dark and drab, despite all the textured wood and stone elements. The ladies restroom is definitely original, with the mauve and green tiles that are very dated. 80’s time warp!

I would give it a zero if I can! Horrible service on a Sunday. Came in here around 630 waited 1 hr after they told me it was a 25 min wait. That was a no no already. Sat down, took at least 10 min for someone to notice us. My husband and daughter order the same stuff so did i. Food came out horrible. Onion rings for the side, horrible. Baby back ribs, tender but no flavor. Mac and cheese kids, it was ok. Black tie chicken pasta, dry and no flavor. All in all they didn’t care about the«small» group judging on how we dress and the service for«bigger» groups you can tell the difference.(Look in pics) horrible food and service.

After returning to Claim Jumper probably 10 times since writing my last review, I feel i need to dock them a couple stars. The service and quality of food they have been putting out has gone down hill. We had a party of 8 for New Years Eve dinner, and while I know they were very busy, the waiter was not attentive and several mistakes were made. A vegetarian at out table had chicken put in his pasta, and my mother was given the wrong kind of salmon. Both of our salmon filets were very small, overcooked, and way too fishy. They used to have amazing salmon. They recently took some of our favorite dishes off the menu, and downsized their cheesy potato cakes. The potatocakes side used to come with 2 large potatocakes, now it comes with 4 tiny ones. They try to tell you it is the same amount, but it is not even close. you barely get any of the inside, which is the good part, and it is maybe half the portion it was before. They also now serve their steaks with a peppercorn sauce that i hate, it is too spicy. I wish they gave you an option. One change they did add that is positive however, is the option for one trip to the salad bar instead of a soup or salad. We like this a lot. I believe they may have changed management as the manager used to come over to our table and was extremely accomodating. We have not seen him arou d recently. I still feel for the portions of food, that it a good deal and a lot of their is still quite delicious. I think though we won’t go so much for the pricier items like we used to(red meats, fish, etc) as they don’t seem to be as good quality or prepared as well as they used to. Pastas, sandwiches, etc though are all still pretty good. Overall, it is a nice place to come for a casual dinner, and the service is generally pretty good. The food can be hit our miss depending on what you get. We will still continue to come here, but not as often as we used to.

Good place for family lunch/dinner. The breads, soups and salads were a lot for appetizers. :)) Some of us had steaks, good for one. But the pastas and other meals were larger serving, good for 2 already. We had to box a lot after. Servers were very accomodating and nice.

Coming here during the week is probably the best as it is empty and spacious. I was greeted and welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. I asked for a booth, away from the noise and current crowd. The décor will remind you of the Wild West and definitely gives that mining vibe. To drink, I ordered the fireball orchard and it instantly reminded me of chewing Big Red gum. After I ordered the BBQ chopped salad. The salad was decently sized; probably a good size for two people. My server was attentive and lovely, she made sure everything was good and tasteful. Their cake slices are insanely huge but delicious. I wish there was a claim jumper closer to west LA but when I’m in the valley, this is where my step father loves to dine.
