Authentic Korean food… So good. Truly family run and owned local business. We’ve been coming here for 4 generations strong. Love the food, service is always improving especially since the sons took over. For lunch go for the bento’s. Dinner all you can eat is a good deal especially for the amount and quality of meat.

I had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant with family and couldn’t have been more appalled at the overall service that the staff had provided us. While the food was pretty delicious, the disappointing attitude of the staff has earned a one-star review from my family and I. Here’s why. When my cousin had asked for more kimchi, the staff refused telling her that all kimchi from the table should be shared. Kimchi, folks. They refused her kimchi. With this being a restaurant where the diner is responsible for cooking their food, the waitress shockingly removed the contents from the grill and to a plate without our permission. Disappointed, I decided to leave them a tip lower than the expected 15%, and to my amazement, the waitress looked at the receipt and demanded a higher amount. Very unprofessional!

Overall, I’m a fan Pine Tree! It’s a shame that you have to pay quite a bit to get more than four AYCE options(especially when half of the dishes are pork and you cant eat pork), but the food itself tastes great. I see other people compare it to Gen quite a bit, but I noticed that many of the meats taste better here at Pine Tree than at Gen. At Gen, I always notice that the brisket has a buttery taste and the beef bulgogi’s texture isn’t that great, but the quality of the meat is always great here. Their side dishes are great here, and I love the fish cakes. I went with a vegetarian friend and they specified that they were vegetarian(since there are options that didn’t have meat, such as fish dishes and other items) but they still had some pieces of meat in their food. A little more attention to dietary concerns would have been nice. Has it’s ups and downs, but I would definitely recommend this place to a friend!

Food was ok. All you can eat is a good deal with 4 options. However their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We sat 6 but my two sisters did not want the all you can eat and instead wanted to order a la carte. The waitress would not allow them to do so. They then sat at the table watching the rest of our family eat. Then when the bill came they charged one of my sisters the all you can eat price and refused to take it off even though she didn’t eat. Not worth dealing with these stubborn people for ok BBQ. Save your money and go else where.

I will say that this AYCE isn’t that bad. It’s pretty decent for 17.99 on a weekend, but much cheaper during the weekdays. I believe it’s $ 14.99 Monday-Thursday. They take reservations! Praise God they do because we were a party of about 20 and they were able to accommodate us. We took up 3 booths.(Must check in at the front and wait to be seated) Ambiance: casual, very casual. Parking: there’s a parking lot in the front and also next door to the right of the restaurant. Sides are good, they have the fish cake here! Unlimited sides. They give this soup alongside the sides that taste like nilaga(for those familiar with Filipino cuisine) And they also have the steamed egg, Just gotta ask for it. Brisket, brisket, brisket. Oh and their chicken is really good! The first time I tried chicken and it was seasoned well, not spicy. I actually enjoyed their sauces. For me, I need the sea salt, sesame oil and well i call it brisket sauce because that’s what I dip my brisket in and it’s really important for me to like it. So their sauces are great. Rice paper also available. Service: I will be honest and say that it gets a bit busy and the servers can only do so much. So cut them some slack, they’re sweet. Patience is key to AYCE kbbq, I think… Or else you over eat and feel like crap afterwards and start regretting your decisions.

Great choice for quality korean bbq. Servers can be a little rude but probably just because they are busy. Very limited parki g in front but there is nore next door, just follow the sign. Make sure you try the chicken and pork.

«Ahem» I exclaimed. But the manager and our server just kept walking away on her phone. I remember when the managers used to care enough to bat an eyelash at their customers. When chefs used to cook the food before serving it to you. Not at «Pine Tree», these soulless people don’t care. 2⁄10.

Pinetree is my favorite spot for KBBQ. It really doesn’t get much better than all you can eat meat and veggies! I always get the basic option which comes with all the unlimited sides, salad, and rice! The meat included in this option is chicken, brisket, spicy pork, and pork belly. I usually skip the chicken unless someone in my group wants it. The chicken takes too long to cook and it doesn’t taste as good as the others. The brisket and pork belly are really good but the spicy pork is 100% the best. Wow the flavor in the spicy pork is just mind blowing. I always cook it to get a little crispy char on the edges! The best part about this, is that the food just keeps on coming. I am Never one to go for the all you can eat option, but here it is totally necessary. The service is a little weird because it is hard to get someone to the table, but once you do, they bring refills of everything very fast! If you haven’t been to Pinetree, bookmark it and add it to the list of places you need to try! You won’t regret it!

Still good after all these years. Had grilled fish lunch special. Grilled fish you have to eat really hot, unless you get fish smell which is discouraging to eat. My fish was super hot. We even got hot coffee service. Cool.

Good meat and a great choice for the valley. However, they’ve really raised their prices over the years :/ I used to love going for their cheap M-Th deals… but that is now $ 16 and… I’m less inclined to go. So it’s best to now go for their premium option as you get significantly more choices. They have nice ban-chan, and the service isn’t bad. They’re prompt with the meat and side order refills. They have good ventilation, and also don’t get too crowded, so you’re not suffocating. Their lot here can get full as it’s small, but if it’s after 6(i believe) you can park at the lot next door. For the valley, it’s a solid choice. But it doesn’t compare to K-town

Come for that discount Lunch Special! Pine Tree is one of the best AYCEKBBQ in the valley. They have a good mixture of their AYCE and do not limit themselves to only brisket. They have a good mixture of side dishes. The Fish cake, kimchi, and other side dishes. With that, the only problem I have here is the service. The service is quite slow, and I do understand that it can be quite hectic. They may be understaffed and overstaffed at times. It is difficult to manage this. However, this is the only reason why they will not get a complete four other than the best quality of BBQ I tasted. If I wasn’t clear, the KBBQ is not the best I ever tasted. However, this is my go to for the valley!

I’ve been coming here for a couples years now & the service has greatly improved! I still prefer Korean bbq in KTOWN but Pinetree definitely fulfills my cravings within the valley. The only thing is I feel like the quality of the meat decreases as you order more plates. Still delicious though!

We recently dined at Pine Tree over the weekend and found this place okay. The parking lot is a bit small, but we were luck to find one empty spot. There was a long wait ahead of us but I was fortunate enough to call ahead of time and got someone to right our name down at the bottom of the list as we were on our way. We ate so much!!! AYCE places are lethal! You waddle out the door after eating large consumption of meat. The service was okay. I wish they had a call service button as most KBBQ places do. For a while I was looking for someone to walk by our table but with no luck. Finally had to shout to a server to bring something over.

BEST kbbQ in the valley ! Love the quality of their meat. And I love how they have fish cakes and rice paper(: There’s parking in the front and there’s also additional parking in the back. The space is big and roomy ! Great place to hangout and pig out lol

My go to Korean BBQ spot in the valley! I like it here! The place is cleaner than most i’ve seen in the valley. The meat is fresh unlike other places I’ve been to in the valley and they refill your sides with no problem! All you can eat is the way to go! Their brisket and their marinated pork are my favorites. The staff here are friendly. They always greet us with a smile and provide us with what we ask for with no problem. They do however, incognito lower the gas level of your grill when they think the meat is done. We like our meat a bit crispy so we cook it well done. They change the grill when needed. They pay attention to their costumers and they always check to see if we need anything during our meal. PARKING in the front with extra parking on the left back side separate gated lot behind a bank)

It’s Korean BBQ in the valley! Yeah it may not be as good as the joints in K-town, but it’ll suffice and you don’t have to deal with a high traffic area. We had the $ 22 set which had more options than the $ 15 one. We tried the Spicy Pork, Marinated Beef, Angus Steak and Beef Brisket. The spicy pork was really good and worth trying. The marinated beef was next in line. The angus steak beef and the brisket were both lacking in the flavor department. I wouldn’t really recommend ordering those one. If I ever go back here, I would just get unlimited spicy pork and marinated beef and my tummy would be set. The parking lot is pretty tiny and it gets crowded. I would recommend parking on the street if you see a spot on your way there.

I’ve been craving Korean BBQ for a couple of days and we decided to go for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We got to the restaurant at 12:30 and no one was there so we weren’t sure if it was open or not(their open sign was lit) so we were able to flag a waitress down in the kitchen and she said they are open. We noticed that we can get their lunch special on a Saturday so we did that. My husband wanted the Bi Bim Neng Myun(try to say that 10 times). This is basically a cold thin noodle dish with a spicy sauce and a hard boiled egg. Within the past two times that we came here(6 months apart) they didn’t have this noodle dish so we ended up with a lunch combination of Kalbe and Jap Chae($ 18). It was good, the price point was pretty good considering the huge amount of meat they put on the plate. The negative point of this is for their appetizers, we usually get 8 different kinds but we only got four. Maybe it was because we ordered the lunch special but that should not matter. Also the lettuce in my salad was gross(see picture). I want to look for another Korean restaurant that will have Bi Bim Neng Muyn for my husband so my fellow Unilocaler friends in the San Fernando Valley please give me some recommendations. :) :) You guys are the best!!!

Decided to try out this place for AYCE Korean BBQ. Their main parking lot is very small and compact and is a hassle to get out of. However they share a lot next door behind the treatment center, just go through the alley. It didn’t take long for us to be seated on a Thursday night. As soon as we sat, a lady came promptly with our appetizers, rice, and salad. I was amazed at how fast they move here. We ordered the 4 meat AYCE for only about $ 15 per person. The 4 meats are beef brisket, pork belly, marinated pork, and bbq chicken. As soon as our meat came, we got to cooking! I didn’t really care for the marinated pork or pork belly. But the beef brisket and bbq chicken were decent for the price. You’ll notice as you ask for another plate they start to taper off the portions and they get smaller and smaller each time. My party had 5 plates(I was done at 2). I also ordered the Korean pancakes for $ 2 and I couldn’t take more than 2 bites as it was too greasy. Then I ordered their coffee gelato for about $ 5 which was a joke. There was freezer burn on some areas. This isn’t the best place for Korean BBQ, but I suppose if you want inexpensive AYCE then come here. The staff is nice and the establishment is kept clean. Tip: don’t eat rice, it will obviously make you full fast. Just keep asking for more salad so you can get the most from your AYCE meat.
