I don’t know what it is, but EVERYTIME I come into this specific store in the mall, mostly in the afternoon, I get the worst customer service! I went in yesterday after 5pm to get an HDMI cable to connect my TV to my Mac desktop. I walk in to a very dead store(maybe 1 other customer that wasn’t being helped) with what looks like three employees working. It took about 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge my presence and it was in a very cold way. This chick(i don’t know her name) asks what I need and I tell her. She walks over and shows me the HDMI cable. I saw thank you and she goes back to whatever she was doing. After deciding which one I wanted to purchase, I realize that I needed an employee to get it for me, so I went back to cashier to see if someone can help me. Again, I was waiting for about 2 minutes before the same chick acknowledges me. I say, «sorry, I didn’t realize that I needed someone to get the cable for me» and she snaps back at me «I thought you said you were window shopping.» WTF kind of person working in customer service would respond to a paying customer like that?

I had problems with some of the attitudes of the staff here. I came in to simply do an exchange of a car charger that I bought from them. I showed that the charger simply stopped working and all I asked for was an exchange. They made me wait 45 minutes to connect to their Warranty department over the phone to tell me that I am not covered and if I wanted to purchase another one. Why would I purchase another one if the car charger that I bought for $ 35 will stop working again?! I would highly suggest a more positive staff attitude.

I went into this store yesterday while waiting for a friend to arrive for lunch. I needed a Sandisk adapter for my Android. I had been to the Verizon store and they wanted 49.99 it. Yeah, right. I don’t know the guy’s name(receipt showed his initials as SM), but he was great. He helped me find the product I needed, at an incredible price. I got home, used it and it was the perfect choice. I couldn’t have done better with price or service if I had ordered online. Hey, most Radio Shack’s are customer challenged. But I was quite satisfied with my service here. I guess your service depends on the position of the moon that day.

SO a few weeks ago I bought a USB charger for my android phone, ok cool! Guy was quick even let me know that I could purchase insurance for the cord so that just in case it got ruined I could come in and get a new one at no charge! GREAT! I said just because my original one had gotten ruined by not charging my phone anymore and spending on a cord more than once its too much! Sooo I am now facing a situation where the charger isn’t hmmm. CHARGING! ughh! Great, Alice, don’t panic! You bought the insurance for it, wonderful! I work long hours and I don’t have time to go in the store, so my awesome brother offers to go for me. I gave him the USB cord and my receipt so that he can show them its legit, simple right?!? Bro goes into the store and dude that sold me the cord + charger tells him that he can’t take it because the packaging that it came with it isn’t being brought back!!! AREYOUKIDDINGME!!! I am not a hoarder or rat pack to keep these things around my house, its obvious that after two weeks I am going to dispose of it! I am bringing the damn receipt with the cable. REALLY!?! SO my $ 20+ dollars just went to the trash just because I didn’t keep the packaging?!? So if this would have happened in two years, I still wouldn’t get it because I don’t have the box?! Really Radio Shack has gone down in the past years or maybe even decade. I should have just gone to Walmart to buy it I could have gotten some entertainment and a new USB cord if that would have happened there! OH and my brother told me that the manager would be «IN» tomorrow. I’ll be in too, I am not a happy person when I am being lied too just for extra cash for an «insurance» that isn’t going to be honored! Update when I speak to the«manager».
