I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while; finally did last night. Food was excellent — the ribs were amazing. It’s all that I thought it was plus more.

By far the best rib shack I’ve been to locally! If ever I am in the mood to do some heavy chowing down, I think here! If you go with a friend, I must suggest getting the 3-item dinner. It’s only $ 20 and it’s enough food to fill two people to the absolute brim, with food to spare. You have a choice of three meats, two sides, and two pieces of corn bread. My suggestion? Baby back ribs, beef brisket, tri-tip, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, with root beer to compliment. Most cost efficient meal you can get with such satisfaction guaranteed. The servers are friendly and always remember my boyfriend and I. Great people. Great food. Enjoy!

I am downgrading from a 4 to 2 star. Reasons for the downgrade… on the front window is a letter B from health dept. It has been since late December that they lost the A rating. Why hasn’t it been fixed by now. Brents deli was a B for less than a day. Went in yesterday for lunch and had to ask for a place setting and ketchup. They scrounged around for ketchup and brought over a near empty bottle. The cap had tried up stuff from a while back. I used it but was bothered now by the dirty cap. Then they brought over some to go ketchup packs. Hmm no ketchup in a bbq place?

The Four Stars is for food. The food is good. Beef Ribs were tender, tasty, meaty with lots of smoke flavor. A real nice treat. Mac n’ Cheese was cheesy gooey goodness. Mashed Potatoes and Gravy was also very good. The issue I had was with my coupon. I use Local Flavor when I want to try something new that is not all that close to home. Nowhere on the coupon does it say Dine-In only, as it does on other Restaurants.(If you want people to eat there, put that stipulation) The lady who was helping us asked the owner if this could be used for a pick-up order and he just threw up his hands and said sure, why not in a way I didn’t care for. Again, the food is good. Real tasty BBQ. The attitude just rubbed me the wrong way. Most likely, will not be back.

I haven’t really posted a «Yelp» in awhile, but need to in this case. I do not understand the volume of positive reviews, it simple was not my experience. My wife and I went there on a Friday night, after she got back home from work. As hungry as we were, we could have eaten anything. Well, almost anything. We ordered: 2 St Louis rib specials. Comment: they weren’t special! The meat was room temperature, dry and flavorless. BBQ sauce was weak, store bought(?). Sides Mac & Cheese Avoid at all cost! Tasted like paste, congealed when served, room temperature… one bite each and done with it. Informed the server. She apologized for it, and that was it.(My previous experience is that you don’t pay for what you don’t like/eat…didn’t happen here nor was I going to raise a stink). Mashed potatoes Decent…just a touch too much pepper, probable white pepper The BBQ sauce Like I said, tasted like it was from a can. Drink Water with lemon… glass went unattended Store health grade was a «B» I can not repeat here and suggest that you take the good reviews with a grain of salt.

One of the best BBQ restaurants in the valley, their BBQ sauce has the perfect balance of tangy, sweet and a hint of spice! The meat is just fall off the bone, especially the ribs! Their beer battered fries are so good and the best part are the sides! Rogers rib shack is the place to go when you’re craving good homemade BBQ!

Finally a REALBBQ spot in the valley. This place isn’t like that fake BBQ you find at Wood Ranch or Stonefire. This is the type of stuff I have when I visit family in Nashville. My server was friendly throughout my meal and amazing with the drink refills. As far as the BBQ… I got the 3 dinner combo with Baby Back Ribs, Rib Tips and Brisket with Mac n Cheese and Baked Beans as my sides. I also tried a few pieces of Tri-Tip. The Ribs, Brisket and Tri-Tip were amazing. Smoked to perfection and grilled to add a nice crunch. The Rib Tips were a bit too fatty in my opinion. The Beans were okay, but sadly the Mac n Cheese lacked the greatness I hoped for. I’m so excited to have this place in the valley and will definitely be back as long as they’re around!

The Bomb BBQ here! We were craving BBQ and I found this place on Unilocal and I have driven by it several times. I had my dog with me and I did not want to leave her in the car. So the staff member said she could come out to me with a wireless credit card reader. Which is awesome! The prices are not crazy expensive here. You get good portions here. We got the rib tips and they were so good! The BBQ sauce is really good here. We also got the 2 item dinner plate, you can choose two meats, I got the brisket and baby back ribs with Mac n cheese and collard greens. Now the Mac n cheese is nothing special, the collard greens were good. I think the Mac n cheese could use some improvement, but I don’t really find any places that have good Mac n cheese anyways. I still give this place 5 stars. Staff is awesome and food was awesome! Come and try this place, you won’t regret it.

It was our first time here and we were extremely happy with the food and service. Usually when your a big group(6 adults, 3 babies) it can be a hassle but our waitress was so awesome. Got our order right, was on top of or refills and was helpful with ordering. Ok now about the food. We got a family platter that came with tri tip, brisket, and beef ribs. Two sides and garlic rolls. Everything was delicious and still had extra to take home. We used the 15% check in offer and got free peach cobbler which was also delicious. I can’t wait to come back to try other dishes. Only complaint is that they have a sign on the outside saying meaty ribs and it was not at all. I will skip the ribs next time.

Perfect place for some good ol sucqulent bbq ribs. We had the full rack ribs and its good for 2 – 3 people. The meat just falls off the bone. That’s how good it was. We had their delicious Mac and cheese, corn bread, coleslaw and corn on a cob all of which are great! I’d definitely come back for more.

It still baffles me that stores would use discounts to lure you into their store but won’t honor the discount. The cash register guy told me that he will get yelled at if he accepts the check in offer and that he didn’t want to have to deal with the boss. I told him that he didn’t have to guilt trip me into not using the check in offer. All I need to do for this offer is check in, yet I was told he could get into trouble from his boss. Do I have to care about how stressful his job gets when someone comes in with a discount? This store had horrible service back on Reseda and now the only thing that has changed is their location. But you can’t change service if the same people work their. 2 stars because their food was legit. Everything else was a poop show.

Unfortunately we did not see the B on the window until after we finished our meal. How this place got four stars is beyond me. My husband got sick from that baby back ribs. I didn’t get sick but I felt like I wanted to after the meal. Everything was pretty mediocre and hopefully my husband survives the food poisoning. I would definitely stay away from this place.

Love Rogers! It’s the first I’ve been since they moved and the new place is large and very nice. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Today I ordered Beef and Spare Ribs and wasn’t disappointed and as usual, they were amazing! I always order the meats«dry» so I can really taste the smoke and rub first before I add any sauce and Rogers is consistently delicious! The sides are wonderful too! My faves are the Corn Bread, Cabbage, Greens and Mustard Potato salad Yum! Don’t forget the Peach Cobbler, so good! The prices are good for the amounts you get, all the above for 30 bucks! Keep up the great work Roger, I will be spreading the word and returning often!

Awesome baby back ribs, some of the best I’ve ever had. The corn bread, baked beans, and coleslaw are also the best. The people working here are sweet! Don’t miss this place!

Great little bbq joint with everything you need to satisfy your bbq cravings. Had their beef brisket & pulled pork and it was very tender & juicy. Unfortunately their ribs were not that great despite being a «rib shack». Perhaps it was a bad batch but I have to remove a star for that. Everything else, dynamite. Including their rolls & side dishes.

Got two 2 item dinners with tri tip and spare ribs, brisket and spare ribs. My spare ribs were fine but my wife’s spare ribs were very tough. Perhaps it was left out for a while and thus too dry. She did not enjoy it. I usually get the Roger’s Special Burger and top it with tri tip or brisket. While I did enjoy the sweet potato casserole, the fries looked over cooked. I’ll try it again and hopefully it’ll be better next time.

:(Sad face when you have to let your customer know that brisket and ribs are NOT available. What? I don’t understand. Anyway, yes I was told that it wasn’t available and I basically picked tri-tip. Not that it was bad, but not what I wanted. I was already there so I just picked that. As I waited for the food to be made, I also wanted to order coffee since they had a sign for it. I asked the young man if it was any good and he said, «well, I’m not a barista.» Hey, at least he was honest but it didn’t help my situation. I’ll stick to Lucille’s next time I get a craving for brisket.

Stopped in last night out of curiosity and glad we did. Roger’s BBQ is on point. It was tender, juicy and with a great bark. This will become my local go to place for BBQ. Kids and I split a Lynda’s platter and 2 large sides of Mac n Cheese. We left full and with plenty of leftovers. I loved their ribs the kids loved their brisket which was tender and sliced thin!!! Glad we stopped by, we will return

Roger’s Rib Shack… the location has a lot of promise but right now it feels a bit empty and cold. The servers are very nice but seem very laissez-faire about your dining experience. But maybe that’s the vibe they’re going for. Onto the food: what we got: We had: Half Rack — Beef Ribs(3⁄5) — Flavor was okay, mostly saucey and was actually kinda tough. Needed to be slow cooked for a little longer. They were definitely meaty ribs though. Half Rack — Spare Ribs(5⁄5) — Best thing we had tonight. Meat fell right off the bone, bark had nice crunch. The flavor didn’t really penetrate the meat. It was mostly coming from the sauce but I enjoyed this a lot. Tri-tip(4.5÷5) — Super tender and soft. Flavor could have been a little better. But I added sauce and salt. Brisket(3⁄5) — A little smokey… a little dry and a little disappointing. Pass. Fried Catfish(2⁄5) — 3 really small pieces. Lots of corn meal. These were very crunchy and thus I enjoyed that part. But the catfish did not shine. Garlic Rolls — These were whatever. Not bad, not memorable. French Fries — The same could be said about the fries. Sweet Potato Casserole — Reminded me of sweet potato mashed potatoes. Not sure why they called it a casserole. This was okay but not great. Better than the other two sides but definitely more of a dessert than an actual side. Over-all… it was an okay meal and 4 people were stuffed from $ 90 worth of food, so not a bad deal. Not the best BBQ i’ve had but I wouldn’t end a friendship over being taken here for another meal.

New location but still one of my favorite places to have bbq in the northern SFV. I like the new location better now. More parking and Corbin is way faster than Reseda in my opinion. They have a lot more space which makes it look lonelier, but don’t let that get in the way of a fantastic bbq experience. Since the move, I had takeout from them. Same good olé quality as before. I ordered the Roger Platter. The three meats were on point(tri-tip, chicken and beef ribs). Tender, juicy and flavorful sums it up nicely. The sides were great as well(beans and mashed potatoes). Can’t forget about the corn bread. I rarely like to revisit the same spot over and over again especially with all the great food in LA, but Rogers will be one of the few exceptions. Make sure you check in for a discount.

Really good spare ribs and tri-tip. Mashed potatoes were amazing! I also liked that the Bbq sauce was not too sweet and had the right amount of spice. Took home a pulled pork sandwich for the hubby which he devoured. The coleslaw had the right amount of dressing. And did I mention the warm peach cobbler and home made red velvet cake!!! Yes it was super delicious! Service was awesome. They were very sweet and attentive. We will definitely come back.
