Needed BBQ for 50 guys at Disney that built a new post production facility, called the boys at Smokin’ Willie’s and set it up for a Wednesday at noon, picked up enough food for 100 sliders, pulled pork, Tri Tip and hot links plus beans and slaw. Food was ready for pickup on time, hot and ready to serve. The engineers couldn’t believe their eyes and dug in. Everyone asked where did this incredible BBQ come from, well it’s Smokin’ Willie’s ! Needless to say that thanks to the boys in the truck it was a big hit.

LOVE the Tacos! Pulled pork or Spicy pulled chicken topped with Cole slaw and jalapeños! Don’t leave without the baked beans… I could eat 3 sides of them! LOL

I’m happy that they don’t deep fry their tofu, and I think they’re nice people, but I don’t dig the bbq sauce at all. Very sweet stuff. And a little bit more potato salad would go a long, long way when it comes to getting into my heart.

I speak for ONLY the cauliflower/potato tacos and the tofu vegan tacos. They are OFF the CHAIN! 3 tacos for less than $ 10 off a food truck? Fills you up, they put pico de gallo on top as well as vegan slaw. DELICIOUSNESS. The customer service too is great, if food comes out a little later, they apologize and they are also very helpful with recommendations. They clearly value their clients. +++

Stopped today for lunch. Got 2 sliders, –bbq tritip, really a overall good tasting tritip sandwich, just the bun, tritip and sauce. Plain n simple. –pulled pork, with coleslaw. Wow, I have to admit I’m not a pulled pork sandwich fan. But this was a really good sandwich. Overall good food, helpful people. Fast service, what else can you ask for.

We had them come to our office for a catered event. the owner and his 2 sons are amazing. The food was to die for. I love their Louisiana Hot link sandwich… not too spicy and seasoned just right. They have pull pork and chicken sandwiches. The pull chicken is a great alternative for people that don’t eat pork. Their buns they use are fresh out of the oven. tasty on their own.

Five Stars for Taste & Value. Smokin’ WIllie’s has a great menu with enough variety to keep you coming back. He’s got great sauces(ya gotta) righteous prices and ample portions. Some nice mix n match options too.

This could not have been better timing. I was thinking about bbq this morning… more specifically pulled pork. This truck is outside the office today. Looking at the menu, I saw a couple things that got my attention. The guy in front of me ordered the last of the spicy pulled chicken which was my first choice. Since they were out of that I went for the pulled pork. It must be fate and at $ 8 a bargin too. I got it with coleslaw on top(grilled onions and grilled jalapenos on the side). De-lish!!! I’ve had pulled pork in LA before and wasn’t that impressed. This hit on all levels to me. Not to put too much on it and over sell it but it was tasty. They have a new repeat customer and I have a new lunch option.

I see these guys parked by my office a few times a week, and decided to give them a try today. I tried the pulled pork and the spicy chicken. The sandwiches were great, and the sauce(especially on the pulled pork) was amazing. Quick and friendly service too! I’ll definitely be back. Thanks!

Smokin’ Willie’s BBQ Truck is parked outside the Warner Bros. lot every Wednesday. I finally decided to try it today. I ordered the tri-tip sandwich with light coleslaw. It was delicious. The smokey bbq flavor was definitely there. The roll was extremely soft. I liked it a lot. The only complaint(if you want to call it that) is it’s too small. I wanted more! Just an extra tip, the size of the sandwich is double the slider.

Smokin Willie’s worked our event last night at Crespi Carmelite HS. I cannot say enough great things about these guys, not only were they the nicest family I’ve done business with, but they were also prompt, professional and very generous. Now for the food; EXCELLENT! Nick and Matt Kelley made me a lovely sandwich which consisted of tender bbq’d tri tip in a sauce that was the perfect combination of sweet and savory; the homemade bread that they used was an added delight. Catch these guys when you can!

Vegetarian and vegan food from a BBQ truck? YES! The tofu tacos are awesome — sweet and tangy bbq sauce. The cole slaw is pretty yummy on top, too. If you like baked beans you will love these. And sometimes they have a potato taco which is really great. Super nice people and love the weekly Thur lunch stop in Van Nuys!

I keep seeing Smokin Willies and figured why not, see what kind of BBQ the new kid on the block has come up with. The truck was at Brave New World Comics for Free Comic Book Day on May 4th, saturday. There was never a line for the truck throughout the day, and one other person when i ordered. I couldnt decide what to get, so figured i would get the sampler plate; for $ 11 you get: (1) bbq pulled pork slider (1) bbq meatball slider (1) vegan taco (1) bbq pulled chicken taco (1) side of potato salad and all the items are interchangable among the menu to try different things so now the food review… uhm ya, this bbq. aint that good of a bbq. The pulled pork slider was nothing special; minimal amount of pork, kinda dry, no great seasoning or spices, bbq sauce was no big deal The meatballs tasted like the frozen kind you get to make swedish meatballs… add bbq sauce and vualla, bbq meatballs the vegan taco was diced pieces of tofu on a corn tortilla, street style… ya again, less than minimal amount, no stand out flavor, have had better vegan tacos elsewhere and the pulled chicken was again, lacking flavor, sauce, amount, too dry all items came with coleslaw, which was hardly noticeable in flavor or crunch, everything was soggy and blah the potato salad was more like cold potato soup with more than enough mayo A return is very unlikely.

It was good, I tried the TriTip sandwich., unfortunately I read the reviews after my experience or I would’ve tried the popular pulled pork instead. It was good and a nice change from the normal lunch meals… lol. I am always down to try foods at least once I won’t be following this trucks location or anything. So with that said I’ve posted some pictures and wish Smokin Willies all the luck!

I was getting hungry during the high-intensity USC v. Stanford game, and decided to go outside and get some grub. I remembered that the food trucks always park near the student section, and headed over there as quickly as possible. The line, compared to other food trucks, was not bad at all. And the way they were taking orders and pumping out the food was ingenious. I decided to a BBQ Pulled Pork slider and 2 sides — Mom’s BBQ Baked Beans and Potato Salad. When the man taking down my order told me that the sliders were one order each, I guess he could read my initial facial expression; he quickly said he would put in a good word for me. I won’t say what that good word entailed, but it was good enough that I can easily say that Smokin’ Willie’s has THE best service. I’ve never had better service from a food truck. Not to mention, there service is just as amazing as their food. The pulled pork was light, not stringy, toothsome, and savory. There was JUST enough sauce and the sauce… wow. A perfect combination of smoky-sweet-fragrant. Doused in a light vegetabley relish, the beans were sweet and tender. The potato salad was not too creamy and obviously made in-house. I love Smokin’ Willie’s. It’s true that a lot of food trucks are barbecue-themed, but this one definitely stands out from its competitors.

I had to battle 6 gnats for this delectable sandwich. Smelled so sweet they thought it was their lunch time. I gobbled it up before they even had any chance to land on it. HA! Really good sandwich — sweet, smoky flavor, pulled pork is tender, and the size is no sissy. Guy working the truck was friendly!

So there I was, minding my own affairs, trying to get some work done when I get a tweet that Smokin’ Willie’s is going to be right down the street during lunch. So, even though I brought a lunch I think to myself, «what the heck», let’s try it out. I gather the co-workers around and everyone picks an item off the menu and off I go a few minutes before lunch, since I expected to have to wait in line. I pull up and only 1 person in front of me. Woo! Hoo! The gentleman was extremely helpful and the prices were CHEAP!!! I get my food in record time and back to the office with plenty of time to spare. And the co-workers are delighted to not only have some GREAT food, but also to get change back. LOL We will definitely be going back for lunch from this truck! I had the meatball slider and the BBQ sauce was very good! And it was larger than I expected so I can bring some home for later. Co-workers had the meatball sandwich and the pulled pork slider. Both of them were quite pleased as well.
