Walked in here around 2 p.m. They were couple tables, the service was quick and excellent. Looks like the boss were helping/working today. Didn’t even have to ask for water, he saw and he came and he poured the water. Good food, excellent service definitely will be back.

I used to eat at this place all the time and then I stopped going for some reason. Tonight I remembered why! There was 2 families that went in after us and they were getting helped and served first. After we finally ordered and got our food we were waiting for one more entrée that we had ordered, and it turned out they had forgot about it. We all definitely felt ignored. Although I do like the food(reason for the 2 stars) I don’t think I’ll be going back.

We were just here yesterday. My boyfriend took me for a simple date. we order the s1 and s2. the chicken was little dry… but the ribs was amazing. The prize wasn’t bad at all. Even the food just the dryness I guess. Place is kinda small cozy looking. The stuff was kinda slow. Never ask if we want another water. Especially my boyfriend he drink like a 5 gallons a day lol!!! But I will go back I might not order the same. I try some other stuff

Love the price and food, one of the best thai resta in the valley. The combination fried rice and pad thai is one of my favorites will come back here again for sure.

This Thai BBQ restaurant is awful!!! We ordered for pick up and the guy who took out order was rude. We ordered a Tom Yum soup and it was so salty like they poured fish sauce, the ribs(S2) was hard as a rock. We are frequent customers of the chain will probably avoid this one!

We ate here last Monday. My mom wasn’t satisfied with their food anymore. They used to eat here a lot, but haven’t come back in a long time. Until Monday. For me: 4 stars for restroom(clean) 2 stars for parking(just front parking? Shared with other stores in that establishment) 3 stars for restaurant appearance(clean. But booth seats are torn) The food service was SLOW. I couldn’t emphasis that more. It was painfully SLOW. The BBQ ribs was good. Chicken BBQ was dry.

I’ve been here a few times over the past couple of years, especially when I worked in Chatsworth. I’ve basically gotten the Thai BBQ(s1) plate religiously and it’s always been good, although sometimes the chicken may be dry. The plates are a good portion and you could technically share but you won’t want to lol. The Seafood Soup is yummy as well but the taste/favor hasn’t been consistent… The service is what you would expect it to be. Don’t expect the waiter to go above and beyond, expect them to be wannoyed if you ask for anything additional such as sauces or other condiments. Also, the bill comes when the food is finishes… whether or not you ask for it. Certain places you can expect and even demand good service but not this place. The food is great but the service depends on the individual.

This is probably my favorite Thai food spot, the beef sauté is my go to meal, and the soup is always a must, when I’m craving Asian food at night I’m there

Save your money and go to the Thai food place a block north on reseda. That place gives you too much chicken whereas this place literally gives you chicken crumbs! I’ll post the pics if you don’t believe me.

This place blows ass. There are 15 billion Thai restaurants in LA. Do yourself a favor and look past this crappy chain for a better place to spend your money. I’ve eaten at their other locations before and its always mediocre at best. Tonight we came to the location on Reseda Blvd. for dinner. We walked in at 8:25PM, were barely acknowledged, not even greeted and were begrudgingly head nodded to sit at a table. The asshole«waitress» came over and without greeting us, saying hello, smiling or any sort of courtesy told us to hurry up and order because the kitchen was going to close. I asked her what time they close and she said 9PM, at which point I said«but that’s 35 minutes away,» to which she replied that they didn’t want to be making any food after 9:00PM so to hurry up and decide what we wanted. Huh? I don’t know, but isn’t there supposed to be an understood standard of kindness, service and hospitality that comes with the business of serving food? I guess I could understand this lady being such an asshole if we showed up and sat down at 8:58PM. But a full 35 minutes before closing? For my money, I think any restaurant that wants to stay in business should be ready, willing and able to serve you their food up to and maybe even a few minutes past the posted closing time. I think that’s part of the hospitality and dedication to service that any reputable restaurant usually upholds. It’s a pride in the service of the food they prepare and a willingness to serve a quality meal to anyone who walks through the door seeking to pay for it. I learned tonight that Thai Original BBQ still serves mediocre Thai food, and more importantly doesn’t want my money or my patronage, especially 35 minutes before closing time. So I will gladly take my money and my business elsewhere and will never eat at this place again. As it turns out, after walking out and leaving this negative experience at Thai Original BBQ, we stopped at another restaurant down the street and on a whim decided to give it a try. All I can tell you is if you live in the Reseda, Lake Balboa, Van Nuys, Canoga, Northridge area and want great Thai food, go to Khun Moo Thai Kitchen on Lindley Ave. the food was FANTASTIC and more importantly the staff were kind, friendly and very hospitable, unlike the staff at Thai Original BBQ. I guess I should thank Thai Original BBQ for treating us so poorly, because it inspired us to try somewhere new and we actually found a real gem in Khun Moo Thai Kitchen. So thank you Thai Original BBQ, you get one final star for that…

Well first impressions very important. Not a fan of carpet in Restaurants. This place the carpet is bad and real dirty. As I walked up you could see that the Health department change their letter from A to a B now. So differently cleaning at this location is an issue and I could see it. With only too employees on the floor, one of them being an owner your really not going to get really good service. Both of them where running around like their was a fire. Not a good visit. As I was sitting in the booth the phone kept ringing with no to answer the phone. I could see that they do Delivery. So I would suggest to the owner put an additional employee on the floor to help you during your busy times. The owner finally answered the phone and it was a delivery. The food wasn’t bad. The beef Satay was a bit sweet and of course the rise was lukewarm. So it wasn’t a good visit. I also had some issues with their cleaning standards, the carpet is bad. 2015 Unilocal Challenge.081/100

Whatever happened to this place? Back in the day, this was THE place to eat. I haven’t been here in a long time and my husband and I were in the area and decided to drop in and eat here for lunch. I like that they offer a discounted lunch menu. I usually order the Original Thai Chicken that comes in the special sauce. My husband ordered the Angel Wing Chicken. The food was ok. It was the service and cleanliness of this place that didn’t feel right. The tables and chairs were sticky. We sat at a table that was right next to the cash register. As we were waiting for our lunch, one of the woman hostess was standing by the register. First of all, she was dressed as if she was on her way out. She had a jacket on while serving. She happened to sneeze and I witnessed her cover mouth over with her hands as she sneezed. I was watching her like a HAWK and deep down, I was cheering her on to wash her hands. She then wiped her hands on the side of her pants and grabbed a plate to be served to another table! OHSNAP… I was praying so hard that she wasn’t going to serve us our lunch. She didn’t but it left a really bad feeling as I was eating my lunch. All I could do is just bless my food and enjoy my lunch and not think too much of what I just witnessed. Will I ever go back and order here again? Sorry, probably not!

S-2(BBQ Ribs) is what I always order with a side of cucumber salad. My husband always gets the S-7(Crab Meat) I see my husband order that all the time but when I actually took a close look, there was very little crab meat mixed with different kinds of meat? I don’t know. The cucumber salad is what I love the most there. It’s soo good. Has a sweet finish to it. And I also remember when I wanted to eat food from Thai BBQ but did not have a car. I called just to ask if they deliver. And they do! AWESOME! Parking wise, it’s located in a little plaza so maybe sometimes it can be hard to find a place to park. Service was ok. It’s not bad. It’s Alright.

My husband had always been a huge Original Thai BBQ fan, so it doesn’t matter which branch we go to, he is always satisfied with the food. This location has a lot of seating options available. A pretty big aquarium when you first walk in. Pros: — great food — lots of seating Cons: — they charge for extra sauce — kinda stuffy inside the restaurant — parking is kind of tight — service is okay(they didn’t refill out water) — also, when we asked for the check, they only gave us 1 moist towelette wipe. There was 2 of us. However, not too bad overall. Prices are decent. The husband and I shared an S1 dinner plate for about $ 10 and we both left feeling satisfied and not overly stuffed(it comes with 4pieces of chicken and«shrimp fried rice». There are 2pieces of shrimp on it). We will most likely be back.

DONOTORDERDELIVERYFROMTHISLOCATIONEVER. I have been to other Thai BBQ locations throughout LA, but the Northridge Location is an embarrassment to the Thai BBQ Brand. Customer service and quality/consistency of food are of no concern to the individuals that run this location. I ordered food via GrubHub that was poorly prepared(delivered slightly warm), the incorrect dish delivered, and was missing an item. When I called the restaurant to discuss the issue with the order, I was met with hesitation to bother offering any kind of remedy for the order and was told to call Grubhub, not the restaurant. They were not apologetic nor did they bother to offer to fix the problem. Instead, I was told to contact Grubhub who luckily cleaned up the mess for the restaurant even though Grubhub had done nothing wrong.

Glad I finally tried this place. Way better than Rincome in my opinion. I think the owner was a bit overwhelmed since he was the only one serving during lunch on Monday, but he seemed really sweet. I split the all following dishes with my friend Irene. Pad See-Ew with Shrimp — really flavorful with a lot of broccoli and egg. My standard dish at Thai places, but it wasn’t overcooked as it can be and there was a lot of shrimp. Chicken Curry(Yellow) — the chicken was so soft and juicy. It’s a simple dish with curry, 3 pieces of chicken, and a single slice of potato with white rice, but nothing else was needed. We almost finished this Chicken Satay — burnt a bit(as expected with satay) but I think there were 8 skewers. Definitely didn’t finish this, but I was surprised by the peanut sauce. It’s not as brown as other places and looked a bit like thousand island but it was on point. Ask for the sweet&sour sauce too. I don’t know what that’s really called, but the guy knew what I was talking about Overall, good prices, large portions, and friendly service. Favorite Thai place in the San Fernando Valley so far

Good family owned business. I love walking into a place and feeling the good vibes and welcoming smiles! The workers here seem to pride themselves on their food and even make recommendations. I ordered the egg rolls once and found it to be an extremely small appetizer. So, I no longer order appetizers here, but the pad Thai I have no problem with. I ordered it to be spicy, but when I tried it I mostly tasted the sweetness. Next time I would enjoy it even more if it was spicy and I had requested it to be. :)

Nothing fancy, just a hole-in-the-wall Thai spot with good prices, smiling servers & delicious food. All that really matters to me when I go for Thai. Oh my gosh the Pad Thai! And Thai Tea! I got Shrimp in mine(the Pad Thai, not Thai Tea, ew!) and I would pass on that next time and get tofu instead. The shrimp just didn’t taste very good, it didn’t have much flavor but I didn’t care because the rest of that dish was perfect. It had the perfect amount of sauce/oil, peanuts and EGG. So much egg! Yum! I highly recommend it. I get two meals out of it and it costs $ 7.95. I rarely go to this area to eat and usually only eat around here if I’m doing something else but I would make a little trip to get that Pad Thai again. They were playing Eric Clapton which was random and somewhat depressing when ‘Tears in Heaven’ came on. ‘Wonderful Tonight’ was more fitting for how I felt: D
