This is the best kept secret in the Adirondacks. The food is fantastic and the ambiance is classic and the service was perfect. I just had such a good meal I can’t wait to come back.

Lulu’s has by far the best food in the area(i.e., for 25 miles around). Each of the two ahi tuna offerings(one appetizer and one main) are wonderful, as is the duck confit, pork sliders, and pretty much everything else. If you’re looking for a meat and potatoes restaurant with«soup or salad,» this is NOT your place. But, different strokes for different folks. Wine and beer selections are a cut above. On Friday evening they had an excellent singer/guitar player in the garden. Volume was perfect for dining(could still talk easily), and his renditions of Willie Nelson, Neil Young(«Harvest Moon» was killer), John Denver, Paul Simon and other easy listening C&W, Pop, and Folk were well-chosen and wonderfully rendered. Strongly recommend if you want something«nicer» than standard local restaurant fare, you try Lulu’s out.

If you are looking for a classy night out in Northville, this is it. Good wine, craft beer, and a varied selection of small plates are what is on the menu. It is only open Friday and Saturday evenings, so plan accordingly. The inn is beautiful and the current owners have put a wonderful patio out in the lawn which overlooks the lake and the bridge. Some tables are interspersed with the more casual option of Adirondack chairs(how apropos!) and side tables. It is a very charming setting! The small plates are a somewhat odd assortment(Asian noodles and Mediterranean flatbread pizza?) and everything we ate was good but not necessarily great. But let me lay it out there for you: the dining options in this region are extremely limited! This is the only place for miles and miles attempting to do something sophisticated and they are probably smart to keep it simple and accessible.

Loved the ambiance and the food. Wonderful vegetarian dishes and soups as well as something for the meat lovers. Their chicken dumplings with yummy sauces were phenomenal. We enjoyed their Tapas menu, thus being able to try different things and sharing. Everything was delicious while still feeling we had eaten healthy. We didn’t feel so guilty enjoying that scrumptious chocolate flourless cake. :-) We were guided perfectly to just the right wines & beer for our palate. It was fun to mingle with those living in the area and other guests, especially Michael and Laurie, the owners, who are so warm, fun, and accommodating. They had live music one of our two nights with no cover charge which was most enjoyable. We’re looking forward to returning this summer and eating at Lulu’s in their outside seating area. And we’re excited our local friends will be able to pull their boat right up to The Inn’s docks to join us! The décor is quit upscale for this quaint village, though still very comfortable and the prices are all still on par with the other local restaurants. A true gem in a gem of a town.
