This store is a gem! An all-Michigan store filled with artwork, crafts, photography, fiber arts and all certified from our great state!
The owner was a lovely, gracious woman who helped me find the perfect photo of Sanders, great for my chocolate-themed kitchen! She loves the area and when I stated that I was new to Northville, she took me out to the front of the store and pointed out all the shops I couldn’t miss!
I will be back because I saw a dip-dyed shirt in a misty green that would be perfect for my sister!

State of Mind is more than mildly reminiscent of the «Art Is In Market» galleries found in Laurel Park and Twelve Oaks. As a matter of fact, what is now the «Art Is In Market» at Twelve Oaks was formerly State of Mind. When Art Is In Market scooped State of Mind’s lease, State of Mind moved to it’s current location.
The downtown Northville location fits this free– spirited articst collective perfectly, and the gallery is a nice addition to the panoply of storefronts to visit in downtown Northville.
Hubby and I have been here several times, for Christmas, birthday, and host (ess) gifts. Each time we’ve visited, we’ve found lovely items in our price range (from a low of $ 10.00 to a high of over $ 100.00).
Painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, photography, textiles… all are represented.
