Unilocal! and Ouch! .it;s over. closing as of March 25, 2011 :( Man, I really liked this place. good food. great wine selections at reasonable prices. missing already the Pasta Wednesdays with a glass of wine for $ 15. the Flat-bread Thursdays with a glass of wine for $ 12. the Three-course Dinners with THREE glasses of wine for $ 30 on Saturdays. Guess the only draw-back were the high-top tables. those of us with aching joints found it painful to sit for very long. Don’t know why it didn’t work out. seemed like a great concept. hope something like it pops up in the area to replace it. :’( Maybe TOO much wine. they had a large inventory. maybe they had significant cost over-runs?

This place captures the vibe and simplicity of California’s Wine country, it was very reminiscent of my stay in Sonoma County. I wasn’t thrilled with one of my choices for the wine paring, however the server brought me out a delicious cab and a wonderful Chardonnay which we ended up buying the bottle(and it was cheap! $ 13! That’s unheard of in a restaurant!) I loved their offerings of cheese and salami, it was very hard to pick just one! Everyone in the shop was extremely friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. I know that the next time I am in Northville I will be stopping by here again.

A friendly little wine bar sporting not only a gracious owner and host, but a few walls with some nice world-wide wine selections. We walked in for a wine tasting which was a bit perfunctory. Then we moved on to buy a beautiful bottle of barbaresco, cheese and prosciutto… the beginning to a perfect evening!

Oh, how I love this place. Wine Sync really captures the essence of a great Parisian Wine Bar. Until recently, Wine Sync invited you to bring your own food into the bar. This is cool on its own, since there are very few places that let you«carry in.» They still allow this, but they’ve also added an amazing«small plates» menu that includes Parisian-sized portions(not P. F Chang giant plates portions that make you get fat and have a heart attack at 35), including cheese and meat selections, fabulous salads, pasta entrees and appetizers. There are few places in Metro-Detroit that serve such excellent, hand-prepared foods with wine pairings that reflect European portions and also provide such perfect off-the-rack wine-by-the-bottle selections and prices. The enitre staff is extremely knowledgeable about the juice they are selling, the chefs are making phenomenal accompaniments to that wine, and they keep hours that are very«out-of-sync» with the usual downtown Northville scene — which is something this girl really appreciates. What to wear? Wine Sync is generally casual, but you won’t look out of place in something fabulous — especially for their wine tasting dinner nights. I’ve worn both jeans and dresses at Wine Sync, and felt equally comfortable in both. In Sasha’s opinion, this is one of the best places that Northville has to offer. Highly recommended.
