Walked in with 3 adults and 1 baby was told«sit where there is room» and then when I asked for a booster seat or high chair was told«ahhhh no we don’t have any — and just so you know it’s going to be a 45min wait for food» thanks for the great customer service(insert sarcasm) not sure why they state family friendly when it’s not. Left immediately. Won’t be back.

I LOVE buffalo wings. I have had a couple hundred varieties from various restaurants, most of them from the New England area where I live but also around the US. Wendell’s Wings are still the #1 on my list. The Peanut in Kansas City is #2, but Wendell’s still wins. The flavor of the sauce is like nothing I’ve ever had. I’ve ordered the«HOT» buffalo wings from so many places and the majority of them taste like straight hot sauce, there is always plenty of heat but no flavor. Wendell’s Wings will burn your mouth but you will savor the flavor long after you’re done eating. They take a long time to come out but they state that right on the menu and around the place so if you’re complaining about that you’re an idiot. The wings are a little small and always crispy. Some say this means they are overcooked and skimpy, but these are the perfect wings from my point of view. I don’t like those jumbo chicken wings that other places have. I can also say for a FACT that these wings are never frozen, they are brought fresh and are refridgerated until they are tossed into the fryer and then into the delicious buffalo sauce of your choice. As far as the actual Pub, it’s also one of my favorite places to hang out. It has genuine character. The Peanut has great wings, but inside it looks like a million other places, like a Buffalo Wild Wings or any number of chain restaurants. If you sit at the bar(which I ALWAYS try to do when I got with my buddy) you will be sitting with a mix of humanity of all different classes and backgrounds. White collar workers in suits, blue collar workers just getting off the job, college students coming in from Wheaton College down the street, and everyone is friendly. They have dart boards in the back room and plenty of tables to sit at if the bar is full or you’re with a larger party. You will also see families coming in. All our welcome and all are happy to be there. I used to live 20 minutes south of Norton, now I’m up in Somerville, but I still try to make the trip to Wendell’s at least once a month, the wings are that good.

The most oily«wings» I’ve had. It hurts me to even call them wings. They looked like bagged pre cooked chicken fingers you would buy at the supermarket. The burger(aka hockey puck) was also a joke. This food could possibly be «good» after 12 beers or so:) don’t waste your time.

This place is a dive bar and they usually one have 1 waitress on and they only have 1 cook so its pretty slow. The wings are wicked good and really tasty but they charge extra for condiments. This place is cash only because the owners are too cheap to accept credit/debit cards.

I really recommend the wings, some of the better ones out in Massachusetts. The only downside is the insanely slow service. We were in a big rush and needed a quick bite to eat, this was not the place to go.

They have 1 cook and 2 fryolators so the wait is long but worth it. They charge for condiments which isn’t great but the wings are so tasty I don’t care!

Best place for wings if you like mediocre wings and waiting 70 minutes to get your food. Extremely underwhelmed.

Going to start with the good: 1. Everyone bragged about the wings and I was pleasantly surprised as people tend to over sell a place like this. The sauces had amazing flavor. I would stick with 3.5 as I do like to taste the wings and this has really good flavor and heat. 2. Not outrageous prices and a great variety of flavors for the wing enthusiast, which I am. 3. Locals seem pretty friendly and willing to discuss the different flavors and offer their opinions without being too demanding Now the bad: 1. Service takes FOREVER!!! There were about 8 people total in the restaurant and it took 45 minutes for the wings. It was a quick stop for lunch, not an all day adventure. 2. It is a complete DUMP! So gross and dirty. Looks like they haven’t put any money into this place in 35 – 40 years. 3. Wings are a little lean on meat. The flavor helps, but the wings are kind of small and some of them have very little meat on them. All-in-all, I would recommend trying this place if you like wings. The wings are the reason I went here and for the most part, I was impressed. The cleanliness and service really bring this place down, which is too bad as there aren’t a lot of good wing places out there. I am sure I will stop in again, but don’t know if I will make it a «need-to-go» destination.

Seriously the best wings I’ve ever had. The service was not the friendliest or fast, but it warns you of the slow factor on the menu. The place seems like a dive bar, but if you can get past its rough and dated appearance you will find the wings are worth it. Just try to resist drinking the sauce left in the bowl. It will be difficult.

Great wing place! What else can I say. I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been good. Nice spot to hang out have a few cold beers and some great wings. Always cooked to perfection. They have different levels of hot to your liking. It is cash only but an ATM is on premise. Staff is very nice. Definitely a spot to try for wing lovers!

This was the worst service i have ever experienced with Kathy the bartender. not only did i need to ask her to clear our plates after 30mins. but she hands us our check. We were going to continue to have more than 1 beer so instead of giving Kathy the bartender a bigger tip on our $ 37 tab. we went somewhere else and spent our money where we were treated better. Nor did she use her manners — I got better treatment at the McDonald’s drive thru. Thank you Kathy the bartender i will never come back to such a shitty service regardless if the wings are to die for.

Wendell’s seems to be a comfortable, local sports bar/hangout. The décor is simple with one large room as you enter. It is ringed by booths, and there are a few tables in the middle. One of these was set up for a big family group. The bar is at the back. On a Friday night it was crowded with people who all seemed to know each other and were there to relax with a drink and watch the hockey game. We grabbed a booth and were greeted fairly promptly. There were a couple of nice things that stood out. When We ordered the wings, the server let us know the bone-in variety were fresh every day and that they would be cooked to order. She advised us it would be a bit of a wait, so if we wanted another order to get it in quick so as to not have to wait again. One order was good for our snack. She also explained that the wings were sold by the pound rather than the piece but that they were currently running about ten wings per pound. We both though this was an equitable and good way to do wings. The wings were delicious as advertised. The 3.5 sauce, supposed to be in the middle, was plenty hot enough, and we tolerate heat well! Price was good at $ 8.50 for the 11 wings that made our pound.

If you like good wings, this is the place to go. However, if you also like good service, be prepared to choose which is more important to you because you can’t have both. One chef + one fryer + one waitress = one incredibly patience-trying, long wait. The wings are made to order, and are served crispy, sauce-covered and hot. I stick with the mild or buffalo because anything beyond that is too spicy for me. The blue cheese or side sauces are not included and are $ 1.50 additional for each small cup(absurd). Once you place the wing order the wait is anywhere from 30 – 45 minutes, so get ready to sit and grow increasingly hungrier. The crinkle fries are awesome. The wait is less time for those, so they will likely come out first. The jalapeño poppers are the cream cheese kind which are my favorite. Drink whatever you order very slowly because the one waitress does service in shifts. Everyone gets drinks served, food served, drink refills and checks delivered in each 35 minute increments. It is weird and frustrating. That same waitress will have no problem completely ignoring you, even with eye contact made. Just accept it and let it go. We have never gotten out of Wendell’s for dinner in less than 2 hours. Usually we leave with our appetites satisfied, but extremely agitated. Dinner at Wendell’s is about being held hostage. But when you want delicious wings, this is the best option around! We exercise this option infrequently, though, and hope to see increased staff… someday. Cash only!

This is not a place for ambiance. You walk into a big room with bland tables and booths. Beyond that is a dark bar. But ambiance is not why you’re here. You’re here for beer and wings! Unfortunately, I was there in the middle of the day and couldn’t enjoy the beer, but did I enjoy the wings! I had the regular wings(Buffalo style) and my wife had the Sissy Suicidal. Hers had a great garlic butter sauce on them. Both were excellent and I would not hesitate to stop here again.

For a dive, this place is a gem. Fully loaded with wings of seven different flavors and a halfway decent beer selection, it’s simply a great hangout. No extras. No fluff. It is however, cash only.

Bottom line: crummy dive bar with decent apps, crazy slow service and ok wings. CASHONLY. This is your typical dive bar so we went in not expecting good service or a clean restaurant but the service was worse than expected. One server for an entire dining room is just unacceptable. BUT, according to the reviews on here I was expecting them to make up for it with amazing wings. This was not the case. I’ve worked in wing restaurants and eaten a LOT of wings and I can name half a dozen wing places off the top of my head that have better wings than this place. One of those places is a burger joint. They nickel and dime you for sauces and refills on your soda so be prepared for that. Literally, they don’t do refills on fountain sodas! I personally can’t name one other restaurant that does this. It’s also cash only but there is an ATM for an extra $ 2.50. Overall I was hoping the wings would make up for the service and atmosphere but it just wasn’t the case. They were mediocre at best.

WENDELL’S!!! I feel in love the minute I walked in and sat at the bar. Pros: Divey Bar Area Great Staff THEWINGS Cons: Bar is Always Busy Slow Service, because it’s busy Let’s start by saying I went in on a Tuesday night and the place was full, that tells you something. Wendell’s is defined by Buffalo wings. The 3 ½ wings are amazing, always served well done so the wings are not flabby. If you like slimy flabby wings, pass on Wendell’s. The wings are best served with a large side of crinkle cut fries a cold beer. TIP: CASHONLY Cold Beer, Great Wings, Fries, and a game of darts if your game. Wendell’s, a real wing joint. Thanks

This place is terrible from start to finish. It’s a local wing spot and I seriously can’t understand why. The wings are 120% previously frozen and to the point where there’s no meat on them, it’s literally fried skin and bones slathered in sauce. Went this past weekend for 4 people wings and two pitchers of beer, $ 100…INSANE. I just can’t get over the lack of meant on these wings, I’ve never seen anything like it. Skip this spot… it’s an overpriced dive.

I switched things up this year and on a recommendation from a client spent my annual father-in-law bonding time at Wendell’s instead of down the road at Trinity. Wendell’s slings around some of the best wings I have ever tasted, tilting in at a 4.5 stars on the 5 star wing quality scale. It’s worth noting that no chicken wing has ever been awarded that elusive 5 star rating, I’m always going to hold out hope that there is an undiscovered country of buffalo wing sauce and bleu cheese that will form that perfect flavor profile of chicken and crunch. I wanted to add that my day with the father-in-law(annual Xmas eve guy time) always starts out with a mani-pedi. I love clean pores, but de-beautifying myself by sticking my newly buffed to shine nails in a wing basket added a rebel element to the experience and upped the stakes. A couple of important things to add is that Wendell’s accepts greenbacks only and is a dive, so no first dates here gentlemen. It also has a long history in Norton(it has been open since at least the 1970’s), and I have heard stories of how you can trace pivotal business and political dealings in this town that started through a meeting of the minds at Wendell’s.
