Applebee’s

Everything about this place was nice. Parking, service, environment. I ate an Applebee’s many years ago and didn’t care for it. Today changed my perception of Applebee’s! Super cool how they support the local sports teams!

The food wasn’t appetizing worst service. The food came cold the potatoes were not cooked the prices are ridiculous compared to Chili’s go to chilis. Not coming back.

Never again will I ever come to the Norwalk location. … I ordered my food and paid online. I arrived to pick up my food and they had me waiting for over 20 minutes ! it seems they don’t know how to work the online order service they were trying to figure out if I had paid for my order. SHM I kept showing the manager my order and PAYMENT confirmation! ! by the time I got home my food was cold ! I had Long day at work, and all I wanted was to enjoy a pleasent dinner with my son !! now I get to enjoy a soggy & cold burgers and fries.
Applebee’s you are lacking in guiding your manager how to read your online program …

This place has more than 6 tables open and hostess will not sit anyone. Waited for over 30 minutes with four tables at all time open. This place is slow slow slow and more slow. This is not a five star restaurant where you can expect this. They make it seem like it’s crowded by having all their patrons wait in the lobby. would rather go to Denny’s or Norm’s next time. Not all Applebee’s are like this just this one in particular. I’ve been to many and none are as slow as this one. What a shame

I have visited this place numerous of times and have always received really great service. Usually pretty empty when I go at night and always get a lot of attention from my waiter. I usually sit at the bar and the bartenders usually go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, chit chat with you and make sure all is well throughout your visit. VERY PLEASANT WITH MY VISITS.

Where to I begin! As soon as we walk in the place is a mess, it was like they had no one on clean up duties. We were then seated at a table and requested a booth since it was pretty empty. The hottest had to wipe down the table before we sat down. After that, we placed our order with the waitress (who forgot my sons apple juice) and waited not to long for our meal. When the meal got to the table the order was switch my moms load mashed potatoes were on my plate and my potatoes on her plate, with my cheese steak on her plate and her regular steak on my plate. Since we were on a schedule we didn’t ask to take the plate back and I just swapped the steaks. The waitress (just watching us) happened to spot the vegetable sticker in my steamed veggies and pick it out of my veggies with her bare hands saying «oh my gosh is that a stick in your food!». She didn’t even bother to take the plate back! We start eating (minus a few veggies) and find out my moms steak was over cooked when she asked for medium well. Lastly, at the end of our meal the manager comes to apologize for the sticker in the food laughing saying it was funny and we should be glad they put sticker labels of the date on all pre portioned veggies. My mom was upset at this point and told her how danger it could have been to have eaten the sticker and the manager just said «well it’s kind of funny.» She offered a free dessert, but we weren’t trying to get anything for free. We just expected good service with a good meal. They ended up taking $ 10 off which was nice, but we will definitely never go back here after that. I have been to many Applebee’s and this was by far the worst. If I could put zero stars I would.

I am very disappointed with this Applebee’s.
My first hint should have been very little customers for a Friday evening. With many open seating areas, we waited for about 5 minutes or more. At least the hostess admitted to being new & was still learning.
The manager sat us down, asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered Strawberry Lemonade, which we thought were refills. At least in Arizona it is. We waited over 10 minutes for our drinks.
Ordered Cesear Salad with grilled chicken. It’s a wonder that wasn’t screwed up. However, getting the salads took a long time as well. Our male server was inattentive & slow.
The only bright spot was two female servers who checked on us.
I would NOT recommend this Applebee’s to anyone.

Didn’t enjoy the food and service from our (family) visit tonight for dinner. I don’t even know what our waiter’s name was but he had a patch over his eye. He was whatever. He wasn’t exceptional and he wasn’t the worse, he was just whatever. We had to flag him down for anything we wanted as far as refills and napkins. I saw a higher manager walking around doing table touches around us but not once did he come to our table. For my entrée I got the Bourbon Street chicken. This is my 6^th time eating Applebee’s and all 6 times I got the bourbon st. chicken, because it’s always on point (bomb seasoning, tender chicken, yummy shrimp and piping hot/​sizzling food) but tonight at this location the chicken & shrimp were dry, and did not have enough seasoning. I don’t eat the onions and mushrooms it is served with, but it didn’t look cooked. Also, when the food arrived, it didn’t come sizzling like it usually does and the portion of my food was skimpy as well. After my meal I’m usually stuffed, but I wasnt, so for dessert we decided to get the Blue Ribbon Brownie. I have gotten the Blue Ribbon Brownie before and I get it because I love to eat brownies with walnuts but our 2 brownies literally only had 2 small walnuts in the 2 slices and the brownie was lukewarm. C’mon, when I order brownie with Ice cream and fudge I expect a fresh and hot brownie served with cold and delicious ice cream with fudge on top. That isn’t what we got. Meh, the experience tonight just wasn’t great. I’m just happy we were only there for dinner and not celebrating a special occasion or that would’ve been ruined.
I will most likely continue to dine in at Applebees restaurants, because I’ve always had good experiences at the Hemet/​Sun City locations but I will not come back to this location.

Chain resturants usually get a bad rap for good reason.

Gotta say this is our favorite Applebee’s! Never a crazy wait time and great service! We went in on a Saturday night and didn’t wait long to be seated, our server Oscar was great! Our order was taken in a good time and our appetizers arrived shortly after and were so delicious!!! He was on top if our refills which we love! Our food was great as always but again the service was fantastic! We requested the Kings game to be shown at a monitor close to us, not only did the oblige but Oscar even offered us the table right in front of the screen which made my sons night! Thank you so much Applebee’s!

By far the worst service we’ve experienced. Our waiter Michelle Never checked up on us to see if we needed anything else, got our order wrong, took longer than needed to receive food & waiters just stand around near monitor looking around & talking to one another.

The food was a decent price and a good deal since I usually get the 2 for $ 20 deal. I have been here more than once and the service is hit and miss. Usually the service is better on a less crowded day during the week.
The main problem for the restaurant is the noise from the bar. There are no noise barriers that separate the noise from the bar to the rest of the restaurant. If you have small children it is probably not a good idea to bring them since the customers at the bar like to get drunk and shout inappropriate things.
I have also seen people who obviously had too much to drink and then drive home. It worries me that someone will kill others driving on their way home because they were drinking too much.
I went once on karaōke night, and I have not been back to this Applebee’s since. The drunken loud singing was so bad that The restaurant was almost empty. The few potential customers who were there were sitting down and leaving before the server could take their orders. My friends and I noticed that it was so bad we couldn’t even shout loud enough to talk and our server couldn’t even hear us when she asked what we wanted to drink so we left that place very quickly and ventured about 2 or 3 blocks across the street to Denny’s.

This is a rating for service. It turned us off so badly we left and didn’t have a chance to try the food.
Our server Elaine had major attitude when we asked if the diet coke we asked for was actually diet.
My husband has diabetes and it’s important that he meticulously monitors sugar because he’s extremely sensitive to sugar intake.
We asked for a replacement politely and her response was unreasonable and surprisingly rude: She made a face and said: I’m pretty sure it’s diet.
Then she rolled her eyes and said: but I’ll get you another one, and huffed as she walked away.
As she left, my husband apologized and said maybe his taste buds were off but it tasted really sweet. She did not acknowledge him and when she brought the drink back a few seconds later, he said thank you and she walked away without acknowledging him again. She came back so fast we weren’t sure if she even changed the drink.
Three problems.1: we no longer wanted to ask her anything because we felt we would get more attitude. 2: we didn’t want to modify our orders (I usually ask about salt content because of my hypertension) because we felt she would mess with our food. 3: we wanted to ask for another server because we felt uncomfortable and uneasy which ruined the whole point of eating out, but we didn’t even want to deal with that so we left to another restaurant.
My sister in law is a manager at a restaurant and was there with us, she made the comment that Elaine our server would have been fired for the attitude she displayed.
I’m calling management as soon as I finish lunch elsewhere, and I NEVER do that. Usually Unilocal is enough to rate a place for the experience, but I’ve never been so disgusted by a servers attitude that I left.
Will be awhile before we go back, if we go back.

Very slow service. must be because all the employees stand around doing nothing at the front desk. I wanted to leave after having an cold blaw appetizer and a beer but waited 25 min for my check. I should have just walked out.

Server was super handsome. Atmosphere chill as heck. Food presentation mediocre. Order was somewhat correct.
Would I go back? Yeah to check out that waiter. Otherwise I’d only be down to catch some drinks there.

This restaurant is definitely subpar compared to the one in La Habra. First time we went, they only had one server working our side while about 5 other servers were standing around laughing with the manager. My steak was looked like it was old and the inside instead of pink was slightly grey. Asked for butter for my baked potato and by the time he brought the butter, the baked potato was cold. My Mother’s ribs were cold and hard. And he never came back to refill our drinks. Asked to speak to the manager but she conveniently stopped flirting with her young waitstaff as soon as our waiter went to talk to her and went in the back and took too long to come back so we left because the kids were already fussing.
2^nd attempt– My Mother and Father went on Friday and both ordered the Fish and Chips. The 1^st piece of my Mom’s was great, however the second piece still contained the scales underneath the breading. Which grossed them both out and they took off. They are both very old school so they just left the food, paid and left. Vowing to never go back. By the time they both got home, they were both running to the bathroom.
Think twice before eating here. We’ve already complained to the Department of Health.

Disappointed with the whole thing. The eating area smelt funny as if the floors needed cleaning. Smelt like urine. Hersey at first seems nice but at the end he gottens condescending and was rude towards me when dealing check simply because my brother suggested that they need to disclose in the menu of the food is spicy. My brother ordered Kobe slider so he asked our sever Hersey what’s in the slide, his response was Kobe beef, my brother was actually asking the ingredients because the dish was quite hot. My brother can handle spicy food, evidently the marinara Sauce had lots of chili. My brothers concern was that it wasn’t disclose in the menu and could be concerning for those with dietary restriction such as Avoid spicy. Hersey asked if we wanted manager to deal with issue. I think Hersey missed the boat ‚.

One thing I like about this chain is the excellent food — Amazing Bourbon Steak and Four Cheese Mac & Cheese with Chicken.
What don’t I like? The service was the worst that we have had at any location. We had the misfortune of having Oscar I. He seemed nice enough but when it came down To Insuring Prompt Service — it didn’t happen!!! He dropped off our food and we didn’t see him again. Not once, did he come by and see how our food was. In fact, he didn’t refill our drinks until we asked.
When it came time to get the check… after 10 minutes (clocked)) my wife had to flag another server down and she brought it. He didn’t even pick up our bill.
We noticed that he kept staring at our table but would not return to our table. Now… I hate when people speak of discrimination… but he was really friendly to those that may speak Spanish. Just saying!
We will not be back to the Norwalk location. If you happen to stop in for some wonderful food and Oscar is your server… RUN!

Terrible place! I met my family there for dinner and drinks during happy hour so we could get together and decompress after a devastatingly eventful month which included the death and burial if my cousin, his daughter and my grandmother being admitted to the hospital for a serious condition.
I ordered a long island ice tea since the rest of the table had one. The drink was less than satisfactory, aside from the sickening sweet unusual taste of the drink the alcohol content was poor. We brought it to the attention of the waiter then delved in conversation, decompressing in relation to the weeks events. Time passed and as we mindlessly sipped on our drinks we realized that the waiter hadnt yet returned to follow up with our concerns. One member from the group got up from the table and requested to speak to the manager.
We are all adults, professional, hard working individuals who just experienced an extreme crisis. The manager, Mary, came over to our table, bent down and placed her elbows on the table and started in a condescending voice that «if we weren’t happy with our drinks we shouldn’t have drank them all». My drink was still filed and during conversation, with no appetizers present while awaiting the return of the waiter, mindless nibbling happened.
Marys resolve was to discount two of the lackluster orders of nachos as if we were looking for a handout. All we wanted was acknowledgment. Her tone and demeanor made this visit less than satisfactory and added to the stress of our situation. She made us feel as if we were less than. .and because of this, I doubt I’d ever return to Applebees.

A Tuesday night dinner meeting at 5:30pm. I’ve never been a Fan of Applebee’s cocktails, and I know locations for everything and every place will differ. I rate per location. And this location also has cocktails that does not taste like what I ordered.
My wings were fried hard, but tasted ok. The blue cheese dressing did not taste real. It had a synthetic. The soup and salad combo was ok.
Most places I eat, we need to take food home. So I guess is say «Just right portion.
