We had a great time painting and would definitely come back again! It’s amazing it took us 2.5 hrs to finish, but did not feel like it! The teacher was great, patient and accomodating. It’s byob so we bought our own food and drinks. The studio is cute and enough room for us without feeling too cramped. Great place for a night out with friends or a date!

Went here to paint a peacock w/a groupon. Groupon was $ 45 to cover up to $ 90 painting class, but class only ended up costing $ 70 and you can NOT apply the additional Groupon value to upgrading your canvas size. I love doing the follow-the-instructor paint-bars and have been to so many of these places, Art Plus studio was a standard experience. I don’t have a reason to go back or not go back. Pros: –Nice paint –Instructor was patient, offered critiques/suggestions too –Painting options online, some are really unique & they do kid-friendly –Picasso friend/bf/gf portrait is REALLY cool and i wish I signed up for this one Cons: –canvas size is smaller than any other place I’ve been to, you can pay to upgrade size –class started 40 mins late since instructor waited for everyone to arrive, not cool for people who get there on time –no parking, you have to feed the meter during class since class takes 3 hours –small studio = cramped class –only gave us 2 brushes, one large one and one small one

Okay so first review for this paint bar, and as much as I feel bad telling it how it is, I am going to do just that. So this is the«other» paint bar in Norwalk, as you may have realized from my crazy amount of check-ins, i really love painting and bars, and the combination of the two especially. This one does not cut it compared to Muse right up the street… Months ago, when determining where to go to our first class, we didn’t know what to expect, so we went solely off price. Muse is less expensive for an evening of paining, with instructor, canvas, and paint included. We figured that this had to do with the fact that Art Plus is BYOB, so they make up the extra money by charging more for the class. The BYOB is not worth the sub-par experience… That being said, the instructor Ali, was great. She kept coming over, giving tips, even helping with my painting a bit, as the painting we were doing required a TON of blending. So Ali, great job! But now for my tips… –For such a small studio, we were all literally sitting on top of each other… It was so cramped, my back and the girl behind me were literally back-to-back…Art Plus… I understand that you want to get the highest ROI possible, but there were TOO many people in that class. –Secondly, the canvas is half the size of the one you get at Muse. You can upgrade for $ 5. No thank you… I did get a Groupon, so my night was less expensive than others, but the class was already $ 40 regular price, so the bigger canvas should be included. –The music selection was terrible… The same three awful songs kept replaying, When I asked for a different Pandora station, the instructor said«if you book a private party, you can pick the music» –The paint and paintbrush quality were absolutely terrible. The paint didn’t stick well to the canvas, and the paintbrushes did not hold together well. –No breaks! My hand was so cramped. Honestly, I think that Art Plus has potential, there are just some kinks to work out that Muse has already figured out, so I will continue going there.
