Stay away!!! Stay away!
I concur this is a sketchy operation. I bought the remote car starter installation coupon for $ 179. But before buying the coupon, I called this place to find out the total cost. I was told $ 179 when I showed up for appointment they wanted extra $ 150 saying they need special part. My car is a stock honda there is noting special about it.
They should have informed me about the extra $ 150 when I called them earlier before buying the coupon. Anyways, Amazon was good enough to refund me the money. The guy showed me the lot of receipts he had saying he charges everyone extra $ 100-​$ 200 for the parts. PUT THAT IN THE CONDITIONS!!! so people are aware before buying your coupons.
I would stay away from a place that does not run on integrity.

Got to set the record straight, I don’t know where these other reviews come from. I searched the tri-​state for someone to put a remote start in my 2014 Audi Q5, and nobody does it. Apparently it is a very complicated job on these new German cars. I found King Audio in Norwalk, they installed the remote start and it works great. I found them from searching online and once I did every review I read on Google was 5 stars and from recent jobs. I would have added my review there but don’t have a google account. Mo Deura and his father run the place, there’s no attitude here, just honest professional work. They actually rushed me in on an earlier date then I originally scheduled. They made every accommodation and stayed open to finish the job after hours on a Saturday night. Great job, great people, great price. Couldn’t be happier.

I used them 3 times in as many years to install minor items like GPS and satellite radio units. That worked well enough. In the fall of 2013 I had them connect the wiring of some after market LED fog lights which were already mounted in the bumpers. Not only did they proceed to damage the lights by yanking the wires from their solid connections in the brand new lights, they then tried to tell me the wires just fell off when they touched them. Right!

Reputable local independent retailer. They negotiated a flat fee with me vs everywhere else wanting to charge hourly rates to rewire my 1998 Jeep wrangler. The previous owner took it upon himself to try to upgrade the stereo system and 1 of the speakers was not getting power, right was left, up was down, etc. Mo went in and fixed everything quickly and for an excellent price. I will be returning to them for future business. I don’t know why all these Unilocal reviews are so negative, I think google’s review page paints a more accurate picture.

Really quick installation and Mo was very knowledgable and kind. They had everything there to adapt the stereo to the car. Great service.

I made the mistake of having them install a few things here because they were the only local shop that was willing to install my glow gauges. Since it was already there for this, I also had my crimestopper alarm installed there. They damaged my speedometer so the needle wouldn’t go to so 0mph anymore and got stuck at 20mph until you sped up past that and then it would jump to the right spot.
My alarm was installed and I think was a used unit as I never was given the box. I went in once because the battery died in my remote, they were out of them but the owner sent me over to radioshack, but when it needed to be reprogrammed his father told me i damaged it changing the battery and wanted to charge me for a new one.
Then one day set the alarm off at work and the remote died, but somehow despite the alarm having a vehicle immobilizer «installed» i was able to drive it home to get the spare remote and disable it.
The wiring was terrible and the alarm box fell out from under the dash at an intersection jamming under my brake pedal. Luckily no one was at it and i had to run the stop sign and reach down to dislodge it.
The system also was not timed right so I couldn’t use the remote start as it would just try to start, stall and then you would hear the starter straining until you shut it off.
When I went back to them they argued with me that it had been a few years and it wasn’t their problem so i had to contact crimestopper with the serial numbers on the box. When i told them i never received a box, they argued with me that all customers receive boxes and thats when i promised myself to never give them anymore business.
If ever looking for quality installs, go to audiotronics. Guys there are super honest and their work is 1000x cleaner. Even when i haven’t bought anything they have still spoken to about how to go about a project.
NEVER SPEND MONEY AT KING CAR AUDI. You will regret it

Sketchy operation and terrible service. I got them to install a new head unit and steering wheel control harness in my 03 jeep a couple of years ago and the radio has not worked properly ever since.
I picked the car up and found they had drilled an unnecessary hole in my vetted console and put an inoperable LED in to cover it up.
Next comes the loose wires. The speakers cut in and out when you hit a bump.
After that is the $ 100 over charge over the estimate. I never received a receipt so I can’t prove they did the work and get them to fix it.
Beware of King. Consider going somewhere else.

Trust me — stay away from these people — you’ll regret ever having them touch your vehicle. I have the damage, grief and a lot less money having someone else fix everything they touched. I strongly recommend Spanking Clean Sound & Security in Norwalk. They basically fixed everything King Audio did to my truck.
