So this lobster truck was parked in Greenwich Ct on a Saturday morning at 11am and the lobster roll was very good. Bread was fresh and I can tell it was baked that morning. Lobster was good too… But I’m questioning whether the lobster was fresh or frozen. Fresh, meaning lobster was caught that day and I’m eating lobster that was caught out of the water that day. I asked guy where does he get his lobster. He, replied«Maine» So I’m wondering, it’s 11am and your in Greenwich, CT. Maine is about a 4 hour drive in a car, food truck 5.5 hours. So did he catch lobster in Maine at 5AM? Clean it, crack it open and drive 5 hours to Greenwich? Seems a little sketchy. I want an explanation. I deserve an explanation. With all that said… Lobster roll was very good(even if it was frozen) But not better than lobster roll in Montauk or Portland, ME

I don’t like this truck. I think the guys that work in it are creepy. The lobster is chewy and the rolls are soggy and salty– much like the guys that work the truck… Don’t waste your $ 20+

So let me start by saying that I went to The Lobstercraft food truck in Greenwich. I was so excited to see it because I have been wanting to try this place. I have no problem paying $ 19 for a lobster roll and $ 10 for a cup if bisque. It’s lobster, I get it, not cheap but it’s also not caviar! The lobster roll I got was really really good but there was hardly any lobster. I had the Heat Wave and loved the spicy butter they used. My first bite was all bread though(very yummy buttered bread but no lobster… made me sad). Then the bisque… oh im yes the flavor was spot on but zero chunks of lobster. Zero! Come on now, give me at least one bite to new on. So while the flavor was a clear 5 star review, the shortage of lobster took away from it. Like I said, the prices were fair for lobster rolls and bisque but you have to give me a bit more protein to make these work.

Very good stuff and Lobster Rolls the REAL way; hot and buttered! No cold mayo salad here! We preferred the«Coastal» roll which is just the traditional hot lobster lathered in melted butter and served on a toasted roll. They had other fancier options available, but I don’t need those. They also had lobster Mac-n-cheese and Lobster Bisque. We couldn’t try everything in one visit but the lobster rolls were great and I look forward to trying the bisque some day!

My coworker suggested I go so I ventured 2 hours out of my way from NYC to ct to get some lobster rolls on my day off and I wasn’t thrilled. #1 lobster amount and size was excellent! #2 Waaaaayyyy too much salt #3 soggy bread #4 priced high #5 the«chips» are really just potato chips NOT fries(so disappointing) #6 the heat wave was delicious Lobster roll is the easiest thing to make toasty bun and lobster… plz plz lay off the salt… ruined my sandwich…

I think the lobster roll was ok. I had put in my order and there was a lobster roll on the counter waiting for someone else. A few minutes later when I went back the same roll was there and they said to me «well here just take that one». Since I don’t like arguing with someone while they are preparing my food I just decided not to fight. It was cold and it was alright. I think when you pay $ 17 for a roll it is completely reasonable to expect it to be fresh and hot… Or at least warm. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I should clarify that I bought my roll at the food truck, which was parked in downtown Stamford on a weekday afternoon. Talk about an awesome lunch! Sure the rolls are pricey, but we are talking about lobster here, not chicken sandwiches. Know that going in. I caught the chef putting my lobster meat on a scale, presumably to make sure they were not over/under filling my roll; good news so you know you are always going to get a filled sandwich, but pretty much elements throwing a little extra on top. I also notice my chips were coming out of a kettle fried ruffles bag. Again, not a big deal, since the lobster is the main show. Also know this is a CT lobster roll, its not that salad concoction they serve up in Maine. Fresh Sound Lobster, butter, salt, and a damn good roll make an awesome lunch that is not terrible on the wallet, all things considered. You would be foolish to miss this one.

Lobster and warm butter on a split bun, that’s everything that’s good in this world. I liked this one quite a bit, with large whole pieces on the roll and a sprinkling of spices to, ummm, kick it up a notch(i guess). I am afraid of different versions like the avocado one and the other ones, and I gotta say I look a little sideways at people who do order these but I guess I’m a lobster snob. This was a good roll, not the best, but a good one. It makes me happy. Would I come back? I wouldn’t fight it.

We love the Coastal hot-butter lobster roll and the TMLR traditional Main Lobster Roll. The inside is small but cute, it has a Nautical look. There are no tables, but you can sit inside and eat at the high table tops against the walls with bars stools. The only problem that we had is that the stools did not have backs to them, so it is not comfortable to sit. There is no bathroom, however the owner allowed us to use the restroom in back past the kitchen. Otherwise, we would come back here for a quick bit if we are ever in the area.

I was in Darien this past weekend, and I had half of a hot lobster roll, half of a surf and turf roll, a sample of the lobster mac & cheese, and the lobster hush puppies. I was reluctant to shell out $ 26 for lunch, but may, oh my, was everything absolutely amazing. As much as I love flank steak, and Lobstercraft grilled up a delicious piece of meat, I’d actually recommend sticking to the traditional roll. Be sure to order the hush puppies, too. They were an absolute winner.

The best lobster rolls around. And if you can’t follow the truck, there is a Lobster Craft restaurant in Darien. So yummy!

As a visitor to the area and lobster roll lover I went out of my way to try this place. I went to the Kitchen at Darien. It is not a restaurant — more of a takeaway with a bar and stools inside. The lobster roll is the best I’ve ever tasted — the coastal — a fresh, toasted soft buttered roll just loaded with tender lobster. They really know how to do it. The slaw was pretty average and the chips fine. I really enjoyed it. I did however think that the counter server was poor — unenthusiastic, unknowledgeable and pretty well let the business down. She didn’t enhance my experience at all. I would have enjoyed it more had she offered more help.(And I’d have given it 5 stars).

No. Hate to do it, but… this spot; NOT feelin it! Lobster was good! Fresh and tasty for sure. Shall i start with the ‘less than personable’ girl workin? The lunchtime emptiness of the place? The fact that, despite being the only patrons in the damn place, they still somehow managed to get our TWO orders… wrong! The ‘chips’, well, theyre chips, not like fish n chips fries, but potato chips! Slaw was tasty though, probably homeade. A slice or 2 of cucumber? A bite or 2 of avocado? An $ 18 sandwich?! Whaaaaat?! I take no joy in this, and like i said, the lobster was good, but this spot… well, maaaaaaybe itll get better? But sandwiches starting at $ 16(even in Darien)…probably need to either get a LOT bigger and better or they gotta bring the price down into the realm of sanity! Honestly, for whatcha get, the price is ridiculous! To go and get the wrong order, from someone who obviously would rather be doing anything but working there, and pay that kinda $…simply put; No.

I recently tried the lobsterrcraft food truck when it was parked at Two Roads brewery In Stratford CT. We ordered a LBLT roll. Average. Why? Too much butter on the roll. I had to hold it at a 45 degree angle to drip off all the butter because it was detracting from the fresh lobster taste. Not a good thing :( Plus I had to wait for 30 minutes for my roll. I was disappointed. Nothing memorable. Sorry but true.

Decent hot lobster roll but for the price a bit too skimpy. The Westfair Fish & Chips roll still has my vote.

Amazing lobster roll for a Connecticut food truck. Which may be why it seems expensive. Lobster roll is 14.95, but there is a lot of meat there! We also tried the fish sandwich. Perfect about of fish, fried in a tasty batter with cheese and homemade tartar sauce.

Yep, I’m hooked. Since moving to Norwalk, this food truck has been on the top of my «must try» list. I did my research and knew what to expect from the prices. My sister and I had a few errands to run and brought my daughter along. While passing by the Maritime we spotted the truck and I could not pass up this opportunity. We ordered two Coastals and Lobster Mac & Cheese. The mac & cheese was originally for my daughter because I wasn’t sure if she would care for the lobster roll. Come to find out, she enjoys the finer things in life and preferred the roll over the mac & cheese. The mac & cheese had a little spiciness going on but it was overall packed with flavor. The lobster rolls were perfection and had the right amount of butter. My sister made the mistake of sharing with my 3 year old and sadly only ate about half of her own roll. I am so glad this is very close. It might be a problem for my bank account, but that’s the risk I’m willing to take.

This truck was parked outside the Sono Aquarium. Lobster roll was delicious and super fresh! Served with what tasted just like Tostitos. The guy said they were from a bag of Tostitos because they had run ouf ouf their own made chips! Definitely worth a stop at this truck if you see it!

Lobster bisque was great… lobster rolls were very good… unfortunately a bit overpriced for what it was… Nothing wrong with it… but too expensive for truck food…
