Wish there were more PR restaurants in norwalk. Sadly I had to settle for this. Everything was dry and missing certain key flavors like pimento and cilantro. The beef and cheese empanadas were decent though but they really need some moisture on the rice beans and chicken.

Solid Puerto Rican food. The gondolas & rice is excellent as are most of their soups & meats. Very decent hearty breakfast is a real deal. The food is rich & heavy. English isn’t the 1st language spoken, if at all by most of the staff, but it’s not too hard to navigate as the menu is in English. Small interior. Prepared food to go too.

Empanadas were amazing. Best I’ve had since a Miami trip. From scratch goodness. Pork burrito and fries were very good. Breaded chicken was legit. From scratch fresh ingredients. Will get delivery again.

Really large servings, cafeteria style food. Great place if you’re craving rice and beans with savory meats. The server was really kind and patient, as we’d never had Puerto Rican food, so need some explaining. She also gave us heaping scoops of food which was very appreciated. A lot of tasty food for not much money. We paid $ 11 for 2 people, which fed us for 2 meals.

5:45am on a Saturday, we needed something to absorb the sickening slosh of alcohol in our stomachs. This place did the trick.

This place hits the spot every time. Its not the only Latin restaurant in sono, but it’s certainly one of the best. It’s not a huge place, but there’s ample parking and a couple booths inside. I definitely recommend the carne frito and the empanadas. It may look like a hole in the wall but it’s actually very charming inside. If you feel tempted to order more to go, you should absolutely give in to that temptation.

This is good place to grab a quick bite. There’s only 2 small booths inside but with Vets park across the street and Calf Pasture only a mile away, get your order to go. I had breakfast here, got the western omelet wrap. Tasty, Good portion size, and only $ 4 bucks. Fairly limited menu though even for lunch, however it’s worth a visit.

Blink and you’ll miss this place. I moved to Norwalk from NYC and was sorely disappointed in the lack of Latin Restaurants here. I dont meen Mexican, I dont mean Colombian. I meant a place where I get an Empanadas and some Yuca and some Rice and beans and some Pernil! This is Caribbean latino cuisine. The place is small so, its a good, TO– GO kind of place. I was craving some Criolla food so bad since moving and I almost didnt find it on Unilocal because it was listed under comfort food, not Latin. Anywho I like it, I;ll come back, its cheap, its quick, its deliciois and it hits the spot.

The food here is excellent. I stopped in for lunch and had the pernil with rice & beans, and a side of red-beans. The rice and beans were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The pernil was delicious. The portions were generous and affordable. This restaurant has a walk-up counter where you make your selections from the days offerings that are in the steam table. There are also other items to choose from in addition to the items in the steam table. Coffee and dessert items are available, as well as, a selection of soda(tropical and other). The food was so good that I ordered another(large) serving to take home for dinner. I also ordered the plantain lasagna. It was incredible. The plantains were sweet and the meat was flavored just right. This restaurant also serves breakfast. Check out my photos. Stop in if you are in Norwalk!

Delicious food. Always a pleasure to eat in. Service is great, very friendly. You are treated like family. The food has switched owners but has not lost anything from it. Food is still fantastic full of flavor. There seems to be more of a variety. I have stopped here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I recommend everything in the buffet and to get there early if you want a good selection.
