This place is now closed. It’s no surprise given the poor customer service and low quality control over the food taste. Good Riddance !

My family and I went there and will not be going there again. –There was plates and cups on every other table –There were bugs inside the front door. My kids started stopping on them. –The associate stood behind the counter and did not tried to clean the tables. –My wife ask for napkins and the associate toss them at her and told her if she could fill them in for her –Food was not that great and gave me a stomach ache

YUK, YUK, YUK! When they first opened, this was the place to eat. Quality has changed drastically along with menu and how certain dishes are cooked. The entire place was dirty and dusty. When we got there they place was not busy and feel the cashier should have been walking around dusting and cleaning instead of standing behind the counter waiting for customers to walk in. She also had no knowledge of the menu when we asked her about dishes and what the were served with. Poor girl but she was not helpful at all. I had to wipe down the high chair for my baby and after I was done the wipes were black. I found three hairs in my food. One long hair and one short white hair in my nachos dish, which chips were soggy at the bottom. Another hair in my rice. Never again!

What a Horrible place to eat… DONOTGOINHERE!!! I actually did try it twice before I decided to write this review… Both times was during lunch hour… First time ordered a chicken burrito, flavorless watered down with nothing in it burrito… I mean if you are a Mexican fast food joint shouldn’t you be an expert in making a simple burrito that tastes half decent? I would think so… Tried it again the week after, ordered a chicken tostada salad… One would think if you order a TOSTADA Salad, it would have a TOSTADA with it right? WRONG! Didn’t come with one… instead it came with big chunks of lettues, ONE thin slice of bell pepper, some grilled chicken aaaaaannnnnd WATER! The bottom of my plate was filled with water. I had to hold my salad with a fork and empty out the water into a cup that got filled half way. Sooo gross. Never will eat here again…

I did not have a bad experience. I just did not leave satisfied. I ordered a corn tortilla cheese quesadilla and two asada tacos. I was happy to have the option of a corn tortilla for my quesadilla. Unfortunately the quesadilla was very bland. It is large and filling, but it lacks flavor. The tacos were better. They had flavor. The staff was friendly.

I’m sorry but no. I just got back moments ago from lunch. I was excited that there was a place like this near me. 1.Service: The woman behind the counter was scattered, didn’t know how to handle basic customer service, and said to another patron«This place needs more cashiers.» Which is not true. She just needed to know the menu(I asked if they had Pozole, and she didn’t know what to say). I said«I’ll have the special» but she didn’t know what that was, even though there is a sign with all the daily specials right behind her. I said«I’ll take a tall bottle of Coke» she said«A 2 liter?» I said«No, the tall Mexican Coke please(It does say Medio Litro on the side, but I don’t think this is what she was talking about). 2. Food. Bland. It was also cold. She let it sit and did not call my number because she could not multi task placing the food on the counter and taking orders. There was an older gentleman who I thought was taking customers, but when I was up he left and I was stuck with the poor woman who knew nothing. 3. Dirty. There were piles of trays with old food. Sorry, I hate giving bad reviews. Since I also work in food service I am both very compromising and understanding with servers/cashiers but I also expect as much as is expected of me when I work my night job(which is a lot). Stay away.

Terrible!!! My wife tried ordering two different items and they had neither. They took 20 minutes of waiting for the order to realize they had no chicken nuggets that we ordered for our daughter. The server seemed uninspired to really attend to our needs. Wasn’t this place just tented up by an exterminator last month? And stupid expensive for the same quality as a taco truck. Never Again!

I ate here and was certainly not impressed. The food was edible, but nothing I would go back for. Service was lacking, I stepped away from the table for a moment and a staff girl came by and threw away my drink, but left an cup stuffed with trash. WTF? Thought it was interesting they have 6 TVs around the restaurant, 1 was on the no signal set up screen, 3 were on the Dish Network how to set up Dish and the other 2 were on Home Shopping Network… Really good use of TVs.

Two thumbs down on both food and service! They made me wait for half an hour and ended up very disappointed. Their soft tacos look stale and the taste bland. Will not spend a single penny in this restaurant. I don’t even think you deserve a single star.

This place is HORIBLE. My husband and I would go here every Friday for our dinner. The old manager Sandra was so professional always knew what we wanted and ho w we wanted it. The level of service was excellent. The vide was good. They even served you on plates. NOW, this place must have been bought my someone else. The tacos are fucken gross no flavor and the meat is not even cut for a taco. They serve you on paper plates which I think is a fucken joke, paper plates really? The new little manager that’s there now is trying to cut costs and impress someone(not me) he’s horrible this place is horrible. Last Friday was my last time never again. DON’T GO!!!

1st time there, and the last time. My girlfriend ordered theChicken Nachos. Chicken was very bland and there was no cheese on the nachos. My daughter ordered the chicken burrito and it was Loaded with rice and bell peppers, not much chicken. I ordered the beef flautas wich looked just like taquitos. I was very unimpressed. The service was very slow even though they only had a few people in the restaurant. The salsa bar was empty. Now all I can say is why didn’t I go to the Habit next door! LOL I will never be back.

Eh. I’m sorry Don Chente, I don’t think we can be friends anymore. I used to LOVE coming here, but now the food and especially the service isn’t what it used to be. This breakup is going to be hard since you were my first go-to for cheap, quick eats. The last chances happened this past weekend. Friday night a couple of friends and I stopped by to grab some food before an art show. I ordered a wet chicken burrito and they ordered tacos. The server gave me the option between the red and the green sauce. I asked if the red was the least of the spicy and she said it was«very mild.» I’m not a wimp for spicy foods– but I am sometimes skeptical. My friends ordered tacos since that is what they were craving and I thought it was going to be like any other night in this decent taco joint. We sat down and were pleasantly surprised that they had mariachis on Friday nights. I was bummed that it was sort of dead in the joint since they were putting their hearts and souls into the music. It’s all good, it was like a private show for us. Since the place was dead, it was weird that it took almost 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Let me remind you– this is a fast food type of taco place, not a sit down, server to your table restaurant. We let this go. I got my burrito and my friends got their tacos. Upon my first bite, my lips began to burn. I’m not talking a sting, I’m talking like I was sprayed in the face and nose with a can of mace. The tacos, super dry and served without any garnishes– weird. What is going on here? Was this just a fluke? I went back the next morning because I was craving Machaca and Eggs and it was in the same parking lot as the bank. Should I try this again in less than 24 hours? I did. Was I disappointed? Extremely. There was one other couple in the restaurant at 930AM when we went. I ordered my Machaca and Eggs and the boyfriend ordered shrimp tacos. The cashier then questioned his choice saying that they didn’t have that. He proceeded to point to the picture of the shrimp tacos in front of her and she replied with an «oh… those.» Ten minutes after ordering(let me remind you, this is a fast food place, not a sit down restaurant) the cashier comes to the table and tells me they don’t have machaca. Crap– that’s why we came. I told her then I would take the chicken flautas. «What kind,» she asked. «Chicken.» Ten more minutes passed and our food was brought to the table. My beans and rice were cold and the my flautas were full of the greasiest GROUNDBEEF I’ve ever been served. The bf, got friend shrimp on a tortilla. He brought his food up to the counter and told them that they got his order wrong and this is how the conversation went: Jaime: This isn’t what I ordered. Don Chente Lady: Yes it is. Jaime: No, it’s not. I pointed at the picture right here. Don Chente Lady: Well, it’s wrong, you said the wrong thing. Jaime: No, I speak Spanish, the description is the same as the picture. Don Chente Lady: No, you ordered wrong. Sorry Don Chente. I’m going to have to find another, more deserving taqueria to spend my monies going forward. It was good while it lasted, maybe this will only be temporary? We will see.

Needed a quick late dinner. It was between The Habit(yum!) and here. We chose here just because we haven’t tried it yet You walk in and its like stepping into Crawford’s market. The menu is HUGE. I feel like they just made up some of the crap they sell. aguas frescas and salsas are really good. My dorado chicken taco came in a pre-made Springfield shell. wtf? aaaand it had chunks of rotten fish(probably poor man’s tilapia) in it mixed with chicken. Did they effing think I wouldnt notice?! Had it re-made and it came out with a completely different looking small shriveled up chicken that tasted like rotten fried fish. minus 2 stars for this. The«machaca» is tiny bits of shredded beef with heavy amounts of diced red and green bell peppers mixed in it. YUCK. minus another star and last but not least the al pastor, or so they call it, is not al pastor at all. It was medium size chunks of fatty greasy pork mixed together with canned pineapple. ?. it tasted NOTHING like al pastor. minus yet another star. SKIPIT! THEFOODISNOTJUSTBAD, ITSDISGUSTING! My coworker brought me here for lunch one day and I was excited to try all the things they had. This place reminded me of my coworker at my old job where her mom made the best home-made mexican food ever! Ive only tried their Carne Asada Tacos, Tripas Tacos, and Carne Asada Sope so far. I was surprised to see that their carne asada was not the traditional type where you would see everywhere else like king taco. Their’s was thin, more soft and seemed to be more shredded than others. The marination was a red color as well. None the less it was super tender, hardly any of that yucky cheap chewy fat that sometimes comes with the meat, and it was just like comfort food. Good place to check out for a simple quick meal that has a more authentic kick than other mexican restaurants ive tried around these neck of the woods. I would have to say though that King taco and el taurino are still my fave taco spots! LK

I’m going to keep this simple. 1. Overly greasy 2. Excessive salt 3. Skimpy on the rice and bean on the flautas plate The food seemed to taste ok. Not really sure though. It could be the taste of the grease that tasted good and not the meat? Their Bell Gardens locations is light years better. Edit: Wow, filtered, really???

Can I just add that thier Quesadillas Don Chente are killer! I’m sure they aren’t good for me since they seem to be fried pillows from heaven, but uhhh I’d like to have them everyday. They’re big a cheesy and go great with crema and salsa.
