Great selection for the holidays. Other candy, as another poster noted, is very hard and old; I found the loose candy in bins to be this way. A great place to buy European chocolates! Excellent selections of foods you can’t find anywhere else. Try the grocery isles. Excellent European breads and babka. The best. Good refrigerated area and good buffet take out. Customer service is not the greatest; they seem to cater to established customers of theirs and customers who speak in their native tongue otherwise, you are pretty much on your own and are left to listen to a lot of native language back and forth.

Reason I’m rating it just one star is because candy they selling is old. Marcepan is my favorite but one I got at this place just stay away 6 $ town in a garbage. So hard and old you can break your teeth eating it. That is no marcepan I used to eat. And what goes to other stuff you can buy it in regular store for much cheaper.

A true taste of Europe on Westport Avenue. The Eastern part of Europe. I thought the inside might be grungy, but its new, slick and streamline. Welcome to the neighborhood

Excellent made fresh pierogies. The Polish caramel cookies were also delicious. This is an authentic Polish and German deli.

Great place to get some Eastern European groceries! The cold cuts are with very good quality, and there is always a variety to choose. They offer a lot of spices, cookies, candy and chocolate that you really can’t find anywhere else.

Rough presentation and from the outside I’m positive most people won’t think of this place as anything that could illicit a «taste of Europe.» To give you a sense I was so much in doubt I walked into the store, turned around and walked out again to try and match the sign with the right door! Well, once past my preconceived notions I found the effort worthy. This isn’t high end chocolate or gourmet goodies that are on the shelf but indeed the authenticity of being sources from Europe is clear — I couldn’t read half the labels and nobody spoke English in the store except during checkout… Eastern Europe is likely a better description as there are a lot of Polish sausages, accoutrements, and so mustard selection is worthy and the chocolates and candies are fun as well, especially if stuffing a holiday stocking. Give it a try but prepare to transcend all associations with Europe high end trinkets and gourmet as this is down and dirty goods to go.

Excellent Eastern European grocery and deli! The cold cuts are exceptional here, as good as in the old countries, always fresh since there is a high turnover. The prepared desserts and savory dishes are outstanding, make sure you order early for Christmas and Easter events. All kinds of Czech and Polish beers as well. A lot of spices, mustards, cookies, gum and candy from all over Europe. Small store but filled to the rafters with all kinds of goodies.
