Called three places and they had the cheaper price on a book I needed. Will be checking them out for future textbook needs.

Great prices… I saved over $ 60 buying my book here and the people are extremely helpful. They have a list of the books you’ll need for your class.

Fast service, horrible customer service! Woman with black hair(didn’t ask for a name) was EXTREMELY rude!!! Will NOT be retiring here or suggesting this store to anybody

The guy who works here was such a douche bag. He could’ve left it at telling me there were no more copies of the book I wanted, but he said in a mocking voice that school has started 6 weeks ago with a smirk.

This place does not give any refunds. Which really sucks if you drop a class or don’t relly need the book. They will tell you they can buy the book back which is really stupid I paid them $ 30 for a book and they wanted to give me $ 8. Not even a whole day had gone by since I bought the book from them. Also I was never told they were final sale at any moment till I walked out and saw my receipt. If there policy is final sale they should let me know at the time of my purchased! That needs to be fixed! I want my money back!

I would have given more stars, but a few things threw me off with this place. Long story short, I’ve called in to check how much a book would be worth for their buy back program, and they’ve let me know such things in the past. Today, i called to ask the same type of question, and the guy was a complete jerk, refused to answer my question, &just told me to come in. Fuck that noise. Other than that, when you’re actually inside the place, they are pretty chill guys and are able to hold conversation, so thats alright with me.. however, one guy did parade around with his shoes off… WEIRD to say the least, but he was funny so i’ll let that go. Cheaper prices, Huge book selection, and not a COMPLETELY awful staff. Just get rid of the bozo answering the phones on fridays and i think you’ll have a pretty solid establishment.

Saved $ 30 for one textbook. Saw this place while I was trying to check-in at the college bookstore(thanks Vince for putting up that listing btw), read the reviews, and decided to stop by to compare prices. Found parking right in front the store. Score! You can’t look for the books yourself. The employees are in the counter, armed with the list of books and classes. Yes, you can just give them your class/course number and they can look up the book you need. Service was friendly. And I can’t believe that the price for the book I was looking for was cheaper here than online and I didn’t have to wait for my order to arrive. The store has the same return deadline as the bookstore, which is a plus in case you decide not to take the class anymore.

I would rate their customer service much higher today than in the past. I could see why some reviews of these stores would rate them low and leave critique on their experience. A friendly young female helped me out yesterday and was very friendly. Today, a young man, somewhat quite but very courteous helped me out. During the times I have been here they have always had the book I need except for one but I came back 2 days later and purchased it. The only downside is the discount does not seem to be as deep as it used to be. Sometimes I will see a book that is only 8% less than the college bookstore’s price. When the prices found online including the cost of shipping and the wait outweigh the cost of this store than I buy from Textbooks Inc. I also like to evaluate the price of rental versus the price of buying and selling back for a reduced price at the end of the semester. In some cases, the value of purchasing a used here, in person, for their used book price, in reasonable condition and the value of keeping the book for reference is higher than renting, buying new online or pdf than I purchase from this store and add to my bookshelf at home.

It’s true, the prices are a little better here, but what I really want to comment on was the guy who helped me. He was very helpful and nice. Gave me good advice on my particular situation, so all in all, excellent customer service!

I just sold back a few books here. The clerk was really friendly and actually suggested that I sell my books online to get a better cash value for them. He also suggested I see how much cerritos college would give me back before selling them. One book I sold back wasn’t being taken at cerritos so I sold it here. Another book I wanted to sell here sold for more at Cerritos. So before you just toss them over, check both places. It definately makes a difference!

This place is small and sometimes packed, but well worth it. The staff is fast and they work like a well oiled machine. Never sell your books back at Cerritos College again! The way they do their price list is to see what the College is offering across the street and adding about 10−20% to what they’ll pay you. This is a great alternative to having to sell online to get a good price for old text books. When are classes going to start selling pdf’s instead? Not a bonafied tree-hugger, but just a thought.

I really like coming here to sell back my books. Not only do I get more money back than selling at school, the people there are nice and they help out whenever they can. I haven’t bought books from here because my parents insist that I either buy books from school, or I buy books from online. But as far as I’m concerned, I love coming here to sell back books. They give more bang for your buck if you know what I mean!
