Terrible experience. The sales people said nice things, «BBB rating A, full service.» I thought I paid a lot for the premium service, but after signing the contract, it was unbelievable. It dragged for a year and didn’t fix the problem after all.
The communication was so bad: the manager didn’t tell the workers the plan so they had to redo things; called in city inspector before it was ready, twice — without telling me he was coming; didn’t want to keep the code and complained about the inspector, tried to get away with not keeping the code. They don’t talk to one another, and they don’t talk to you. They didn’t give me other phone numbers, so I couldn’t get hold of anyone. Days without anyone coming to work and just waiting.
The manager put on a lock box on door, and he came in without ringing the bell or knocking the door into our bedroom and bathroom. What if I was undressed?! No apology from him.
The manager took a leave and disappeared without communicating to me. When I called him, he made excuses but not fix problems. It dragged on for months, I would call and they don’t call back. Finally someone came, but came without the tools to check/​fix things. Called the customer service person who first sounded good, but she disappeared to vacation and never returned calls, and the other person didn’t take care of it, either. After calling many times, they still didn’t call back, and told me they wouldn’t fix the problem because it’s been a long time. The mistake they made still looks bad and it was so stressful, I don’t want to look at it.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I live in an old house (1920s original) and it’s beautiful but it’s got loads of little (and sometimes not so little) problems that spring up…
I’m into a «fixer-​upper» but some jobs are just too big for one gal!
When the floors started to show their age I found TLC via Unilocal and gave them a call based on the great reviews here. Good call!!! They’re very friendly and professional and they had my home looking livable again in no time.
The work was swift, the hours were convenient to me and above all I felt like I was getting a good deal for all of the work they put in! Fair, fast, finished!
I’m thinking next project, the bathroom! I’m confident TLC will have my place looking like a new home in no time. :)

I had put off the bathroom renovation as long as I could. Between the Pepto-​Bismol pink tiles and the crumbling floor… let’s just say this was not a good vintage look. Most of my hesitation came from not knowing anything about home improvement. Who to call, how much would it cost and who to trust. Blah! I had a few companies come out and give me estimates over the past couple years, but I never felt comfortable with them, or the price wasn’t right. When TLC came out, I just knew they would be the ones. Even though they were clearly selling me, I knew they were not «upselling» me. That’s important these days! The end result was more than I had hoped for and done in record time as far as I’m concerned. If your looking for a fair and skilled home improvement team… you are in the right place! Thank you TLC! Now… about that kitchen.

I bought a fixer upper that needed a lot of work. I did my homework and checked out several companies. These guys seemed to have it together and there is a coupon listed on Unilocal that was appealing to me. I was very impressed with this companies quick and friendly service, and it ended up being one-​stop shopping. They fixed a number of problems including a broken air-​conditioner, three broken windows, a cracked concrete driveway, and problems in my kitchen due to old poorly-​placed linoleum. They did it so quickly and at a reasonable rate. I wouldn’t hesitate to give them a shot! :)

These guys were great. I had two areas I needed help with. I had some water damage in my kitchen and some stucco work that needed help on the exterior of my place.
They were prompt, clean, and efficient. I really feel like they were there to do a good job and gave me value for my money. They didn’t cut corners and the job LOOKED great when they were done.
I’d definitely hire them again!
