I left here this morning a happy camper! You can either assemble all the ingredients yourself or buy the entrees already prepared and frozen. I love the concept that you can have dinners ready to go, just pop in the oven, and only have to deal with post-dinner cleanup. My mother bought a Groupon for herself, me and my sister to all come together and try it out. It was very fun and they make it really easy to mix the ingredients. There are two meals per station, with all the ingredients set out and your meat pre-bagged in the fridge underneath. Everything is labeled, the measuring spoons in the containers match, so you don’t have to go hunting for the right one. Once you get in the groove, both the assembling and the time go very quickly. The actual prep spaces are very clean, and gloves are provided to prevent cross-contamination or if you don’t want to get your hands dirty. The crew cleans up right after you’re done and gets the station ready for the next person. There’s a little area with coffee, water and treats(we had the scones – soft and sweet) to hang out afterwards. The calendar on details events and the menu is also online, but the staff let us know that the beginning of the month is not as crowded as the end of the month. We did the half-portions, which should feed 2 – 3 people; full size feeds 4 – 6. The make-and-take sessions are set up for a maximum of 6, but the three of us had the place to ourselves. There are a couple of things I would have done at home – pre-cut chicken, substituted some of the sesame oil with canola(hello cholesterol!) – but in a controlled setting I can easily see how that’s not feasible. While I don’t think you can choose organic ingredients, you do have some healthier options, like brown instead of white rice. The staff was really helpful, and it’s owned by two sisters(always a plus for me). I’m looking forward to cooking these up!

A co-worker suggested this place to try as a girls get together. That was in late 2005 and I have never missed a month since!!! My husband worked nights and it was great to go with a few friends and have the opportunity to catch up and get something accomplished all at the same time. My husband got laid off and it is still cheaper to do this than go shopping for all the ingredients for all the great meals we enjoy! Now he comes with me, has made friends of the fabulous people that work there and looks forward not only to going, but picking out next months menu. I have recommended many people who have also become regulars. I can’t say enough about the food, the service and the great people that work there. If your looking for a great place to catch up with friends or family, and get something done at the same time, try this place!!!

The Make & Take Kitchen has changed our lives!!! Instead of asking each other every night, «What do you want for dinner?»…“I don’t know, what do you want for dinner?” Now meal planning is done for us with all the delicious meals we make each month at Make & Take. We are even saving money. All we need to get at the market each week is the basics and no more take out as we now know what we will be eating & are excited about what we will be eating!!! The process is simple & easy and the staff is friendly and helpful and the meals are so yummy! I can’t wait to make my picks each month and we have been doing this for years! We love the Make & Take Kitchen and so will you!!!
