Bill’s Diner

Dinner was dismal, Just arrived in town looking for something to eat. read the reviews on this place so I thought I would give it a go.
I ordered the Seafood Alfredo. when it arrived at the table it did not look appetizing, the sauce had separated. It was a congealed oily mess. the scallops and shrimp were way overcooked, they were beyond rubbery. and the whole thing did not taste good.
The waitress didn’t come back around till still she dropped off the check. no refill on my drink and by that time I was ready to leave.

My husband and I just found this diner recently in Norwich. We will be going here from now on. Twice we have gone there for breakfast and was not disappointed. The portions are generous and the food is cooked to perfection. I am very critical of how my bacon and scrambled eggs are cooked. Both times they passed the test.
We liked the atmosphere, in fact, I remarked both times to my husband how much I liked it. It is a roomy restaurant so even if it is crowded, you have room to move and talk without shouting.
The hostess has come immediately to seat us. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Refilling our coffee cups as soon as they get down.
Very affordable for a good breakfast. We have not had a lunch or dinner there yet, but I looked at the menu, and they had a good variety of food. I am looking forward to our next meal out at Bill’s Diner.

Food: Generous portions at reasonable prices; very good quality, especially the baklava, which is heaven when enjoyed with a fresh cup of coffee.
Service: Generally good, but can be a bit spotty. Thankfully the food makes up for it.
Ambiance: Typical dinner, quite clean.
Update 05/​06/​2012: Four of us for lunch on a Saturday and the service was perfect. Our waitress appeared at exactly the right moments seeming to anticipate our needs but never hovering over the table. And the food was delicious — a shrimp basket, roast pork with dressing dinner, pot roast dinner and moussaka; and of course we ended with baklava and coffee. Bill’s Diner never disappoints.

I like what Matt S. Had to say about Bill’s. Over all I like bill’s it is a good stand by when your looking for a place to eat. Pretty standard New York style «greek» dinner. Their menu is similar to «The spots» menu, which is a dinner in Binghamton that many are familiar with. All & all Good food, Great service.
