My wife and I came here for breakfast on our way to Mohegan sun on the strength of so many great Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed. We were lucky to get there around 12 so we missed the breakfast rush. If you get here during prime eating times expect a wait because it seems very popular. We sat down immediately and had our food within 15 minutes. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered a pancake sandwich with bacon egg and cheese in between two pancakes. So good. Savory and sweet and everything I want for breakfast in one bite. My wife got the French toast. Very vanilla flavor, delicious as well. We split an order of French fries as well. They were garlic fries and they were awesome. With an iced coffee for my wife, tax, and tip it was $ 30. Great value, left over stuffed and totally satisfied. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Hidden gem! Me and my wife were returning home from our mini baby moon and this culminated a great ending to it. I had the Buffalo wrap and it was amazing. Wife had a yummy salad. Don’t hesitate to stop by. You’ll be pleasantly surprised as well!

We were in the area at breakfast and saw that this place had great reviews. Sadly, the pantry left a bad taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively. We arrived and there was one very large party there taking up multiple tables. We were seated and quickly received drinks and placed our order– 2 of the griddle sandwich(egg meat and cheese between 2 pancakes) and 1 side of home-fries. Then we waited… And waited… We noticed that when we sat down the large party had just started receiving food. About 40 minutes later, As we eyeballed every dish coming from the kitchen, their party was still getting food. Other parties came in and were told by the waitstaff that the kitchen was backed up and it would be at least 30 minutes before they were going to get food– to which they all turned around and left. It would have been nice if someone came up to us and apologized for the delay or gave us some kind of explanation, but we got nothing. It was more than 45 minutes after we had ordered when our meals came out. The pancakes were so dry I used syrup even though I usually don’t. The syrup tasted like dish soap. The home fries never arrived. I was left wishing we just had gotten mcgriddles. They would have tasted better, not cost $ 26 and over an hour of my life. But why the 2 stars instead of 1? I really think we hit this place on an off day. Unilocal hardly ever steers me wrong, so to see a place with such a great rating preform so poorly makes me think something was wrong today.

Excellent service. And the food is to die for. Farm to table at its best. Bison burgers, venison bratwurst, right down to an everything bagel with salmon, onions, cream cheese and chives. The beat kept secret in CT!

My friend told me about this place, so I had a meeting there. The staff was friendly and quickly joined our conversation as if we were old friends. I had the pancake griddle sandwich, which was delicious. I’m usually very basic and don’t try new things. But this«sandwich» was delicious!!! It has all you could ask for in a breakfast sandwich: light fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and gooey melted cheese. I would absolutely recommend if you love new quaint mom and pop style restaurants.

What a gem. Friendly atmosphere. Cozy. Well decorated. Everything on the menu looks good. Real challah french toast! I’m getting the pantry combo, but the hollandaise at the next table smells delicious. The chocolate coconut macaroon situation may also be in my cards. The coffee is great! The house is real smooth with a chocolate kicker. Hard to pick out things to criticize. Wait staff are very young. Obviously a family business. I’m perfectly happy being a bit patient. This place must be busy as heck most of the time. Great find.

Was staying near Foxwoods and wanted to find a nice place for breakfast, not too far of a drive out of the way and it was well worth it! If you are looking for a good breakfast with some flare this is the place to go, and if you go with someone who is a basic breakfast person they have something for them as well. The place from the outside is so cute and even cuter inside. There is a separate gift shop but it wasn’t open at the time so we weren’t able to check it out. They have several pub tables there with really comfortable seating. There is also a nice bakery area with fresh baked muffins. We ordered the scrambled eggs with lox which came in a skillet and chibatta bread, and deliciously seasoned home fries. The fries were a little on the crispy side which is exactly what we were looking for. He ordered the sausage gravy on an English muffin with 2 eggs and home fries, he thought this was delicious as well. The server was very attentive and I did keep scoping out others meals because they all looked great. The pancakes were enormous. We went on a Sunday morning and there was no wait so don’t be fooled by the size, this is well worth the drive from Foxwoods!

Delicious!!! This place makes amazing wraps. I would go here everyday if I could. The prices are a little higher, but worth every penny. The food is fresh. The salad is crisp and fresh as well. My experiences here have been many and each has been just as delightful. Even my kids enjoy it and they are picky little eaters. I am always satisfied when I go to The Pantry. I do wish they were open a little longer, but otherwise its a wonderful little lunch spot.(Or early dinner) I’m sure if you go, you will not be disappointed. Do yourself a favor and enjoy lunch at The Pantry. You will be thankful you did. Plus it’s way better than Subway or any of those food chain sandwich shops.

How does a breakfast place run out of coffee?! The answer is they don’t. When we first arrived, I asked for a cup of coffee to start the meal out right. I was told that they were out but were brewing a new pot and that it would be delivered shortly. After 15 minutes, I had to request it again. It was busy, so I let it go. However, after requesting a refill during our meal(which took 50 minutes to arrive), I asked for more and was told they didn’t have any. I expected that the server would offer to make another pot, but he didn’t. Much to my dismay, the people sitting next to me asked for a cup of coffee a minute or two after my request and were poured a cup without a problem! The server never offered me another cup either! I call shenanigans! Since it was quite busy today, it took longer than anticipated to receive our order. Overall, the pancake griddle sandwich was good. However, four tiny pieces of apple in an apple pancake? Sub-par. Egg shells in my girlfriend’s omelet though? Inexcusable. Perhaps with better service this place could be considered good, but I personally don’t think it’s worth a second shot in my book.

Absolutely amazing. Literally! The caramel apple french toast was heaven. Was enough to fill me up. I also ordered the strawberry and chocolate pancakes. Pretty good and only ate half. The french toast had me full. Waitstaff was very friendly. At first I ordered the breakfast convo then I saw the specials on the big board and changed my order. They didn’t hesitate to oblige and were extremely friendly. It was between here and Friendlys when I made my walking treck in search of breakfast and I am confident I made the right decision. Was well worth the .6 mile walk up hill with baggage in tow for an amazing breakfast. I can die a happy man, but more than happy stay alive and make a return visit.

This is a cozy place to sit down and enjoy a leisurely lunch or breakfast. There are always great soups and specials. I eat here often and can’t get enough. Most recently I enjoyed the Bison Chili teaser with my standard, the Turkey Avocado Panini. The owner greets the patrons(even though she is very busy doubling as a chef) and even checks up to make sure that everything is just right. The service is constantly great and the entire staff is very friendly and attentive.

First time at this place. Cute location, but very cramped inside. If there is someone having a phone conversation, you WILL hear it and get all the details. That’s a bit uncomfortable. But alas, not the business’ fault. I ordered banana nutella pancakes. They tasted yummy but no bananas were to be found. I brought my leftovers home and added bananas in. :( However, I ordered the turkey sandwich for my boyfriend and brought that home to him and he loved it! He also enjoyed the sweet potato fries(which I stole some of). Maybe I just got a bad, banana-less batch of pancakes. I am willing to give this place another try though!

One of the cutest breakfast spots I’ve been to. As soon as you walk in, everything from the service to the décor was super homey. We ordered two sausage gravy on an egg mcmuffin which came with 2 eggs and home fries, the pancake mcgriddle and bacon and the triple pancake with a side of eggs and sausage. I absolutely loved the sausage gravy. The gravy sauce was perfect, not too salty or bland. I personally wasn’t too fond of the pancakes or pancake mcgriddle because the edges tasted a bit burnt from the pan. However my bf loved it. The waitress was super friendly and constantly checked in on us. Coffee was unlimited refills

First, I noticed 4 one star reviews for this place — I experienced neither service problems nor food quality problems cited by these reviewers. Stopped here for breakfast mid morning on a weekday, so admittedly caught them at a slow time — that usually helps. The space is small but very beautifully lit and decorated, oozing with cozy New England charm. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. And the food was delicious. I had a spinach omelette, perfectly prepared with mushrooms and onions and served piping hot with perfectly seasoned thinly sliced home fries. The menu is relatively small but ample and I noticed they featured 3 specials on their breakfast menu, one a particularly intriguing and inventive acorn squash pancake that I was not in the mood for trying. I’ll be returning when in the area for breakfast or lunch.

GO. made an unexpected stop at mohegan sun aND wanted breakfast before getting out of town. So happy I found this place. The staff was friendly and nice. The place itself is super cute(and there’s a cute little Shop on the same property). And the food is not your standard greasy breakfast food. I had the eggs florentine and was sad I was too full to finish it. The home fries are fresh sliced up and seasoned potstoes. My boyfriend had the breakfast sandwich(only $ 5!!) And by how quickly he finished it I can only assume how good it was. I did get to try the bread it was on and that was BANGIN. Wish I lived closer to make this a regular spot.

A great lunch spot! I had lunch here today after looking for a good place to stop. The Pantry had the best ratings nearby, so I headed over. There were plenty of options for lunch — even a vegetable panini! I chose the tuna panini. The tuna was fresh and the bread was perfect. They were nice enough to add pickles to the sandwich and added it to the sandwich press for a bit. I chose the orzo salad with feta, which was a nice change from the usual green salad. There are a lot of other sides to choose from. The sweet potato fries sounded so tempting, but I knew I had a work dinner. Maybe next time! The dessert case is chock full of treats! While the cakes looked wonderful, I opted instead for a macaroon. It was a smaller dessert, but something for my sweet tooth. Wow, it was amazing! If you go, definitely get this almond orange cookie. Better yet, get a bunch to take home. Best of all, everyone at the Pantry was super friendly! I met the owner, her staff and the owner’s husband. They all were very helpful and I enjoyed speaking with them. On a fun note, I asked what the small building next door was originally(because I’m an architecture geek). Together they finally remembered that it was built for a movie with Nick Nolte and Debra Winger called ‘Everybody Wins,’ The movie was based on a play and screenplay by Arthur Miller and apparently was a big bomb. All of that is a long way of saying that the Pantry is a welcome departure from the monotonous chain restaurants you find on the road. The food is so much better and the people are so much nicer!

I was really looking forward to trying out this place as I’ve gone a few times but they were closed. I suppose it could have been an off day but unable to prepare simple eggs and pancakes makes it difficult to think it was just an off day. Also serving water in 20oz paper cups seems wasteful. Rubbery pancakes(made with cinnamon) probably over mixed and not served with butter??? Cold dry home fries Sausage links were split in half and overcooked. English muffin barely buttered. I asked for soft scrambled eggs got dry overcooked curd-like chucks the second try eggs were not much better. Barely ate any of my order. Waitress was nice though and she did not charge me for the side order of the barely eaten pancakes. I can’t imagine returning and I presently live nearby.

Immediately the environment is welcoming and quaint. Your experience is personal, and every staff member is friendly and full of suggestions. The salads are all unique combinations of savory and sweet. The sandwiches are apparently the way to go and I can tell you the sweet potato fries were a hot button item. Being from NYC, I’ve become somewhat of a food snub. The prices, taste, and people make«The Pantry» a memorable lunch that is worth telling your friends about. —I have a huge sweet tooth. All baked goods are homemade or local flavors. Enjoy!
