After some disappointing trips to the local Acura dealer, I took my wife’s car here for a few different issues (tires, timing belt, brakes, etc) and could not have been any more pleased with the service, transparency and speed that Andrew and his wife delivered. I was kept in the loop the entire time, with various options presented to me and when I picked up my car, Andrew walked me through all work completed and what to expect upcoming.
Reading some of the reviews here have me extremely surprised just given how friendly and courteous both A&J were, but I would suggest you go and talk to him before making a judgement. Great quality, fair price, no complaints.

I don’t usually give bad reviews, but this place seriously offended me twice, AND then offended my best friend. I’d give them 0 stars if I could, or negative stars, even though the offenses were a few years ago, it still bothers me every time I drive past this place. Maybe purging on Unilocal will help me let go of my anger.
The first time I ever stopped here to get some gas with my Debit card. The woman came to my window and I asked for like $ 7.00 in gas (yes, that was what I had, you’ve been there too!) The woman very rudely told me there was a $ 10.00 MINIMUM! I was like, WTF??? But, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought it was my Debit card that had the minimum. I was pretty insulted they would turn away any amount of business, especially when standing at my car.
The next time I stopped there I made sure I had CASH, but it was still under $ 10.00. The same woman came out and when I showed her my cash as I asked for the gas, she did the same as before, very rudely announcing there was a $ 10.00 minimum and leaving. This time I was REALLY pissed off that in the poor economy at that time, they would have the nerve to turn away business; that they couldn’t be bothered lifting a finger to pump a few gallons of gas if it was under $ 10.00.
Flash forward a year or so, in the summertime. I was with my friend, and she says «Hey, the strangest thing happened…» Then she tells me that she stopped at A & J to get some gas, and the woman comes out screaming at her to get off her property! My friend was like, WHY? She starts ranting that my friend parked her truck on their lot all day long the previous day (it’s near the public pool). My friend told her NO, she didn’t, (her truck is a pretty common looking one), but the woman kept screaming at her to leave. My friend decided she was crazy and there were plenty of better places to get gas!
If you ask me there’s something pretty shady about a gas station that doesn’t want to sell gas, and treats their customers so rudely. If you need great auto repair, go to Jims Automotive on Lenox St.

DO NOT GO HERE. If you don’t believe me, ask any auto shop/​parts store in the neighborhood. Just ask «where is one place I should not take my car»? They will tell you this place.
They literally destroyed my car. I went for an inspection sticker and they told me I needed a sensor to pass. The next day (and 700 dollars later), my car overheated. The temperature gauge didn’t read hot, it just died on the highway. Engine was fried!
Car was a total loss (5 grand blue book). I never once had a problem with it… EVER!
Another mechanic told me that they probably didn’t «bleed the coolant system properly». I was asked, «Why would you take your car there? They are the worst, just ask around».
I did ask around, and now, too late, found out how god awful these people are.

I brought our car there after a local dealership suggested that we needed additional expensive work. They did a thorough check and determined that everything was in good condition and didn’t need more work. Very friendly, honest owners. Highly recommend A&J.
