This place has the best authentic Turkish food. The chocolate baklava is my favorite. the bread is warm and baked in a brick oven. Their tzatziki is amazing and the Gyros are so good! Love this place!

We discovered this place in a small collection of business going toward rt 27 on rt 1 past ocean state. Very authentic Turkish food. My husband loves the lamb kebob, I like the meat gyro plate. They make homemade bread and Turkish pizza in a hot oven. A spicy appetizer called emze is great. Just remember it is very spicy. They have wide variety ok desserts. Also have a Turkish tea called tiez served in small glasses. We will back to this place often. The service is very friendly, even gave us dessert samples

I just tried one of each food on the menu and it was the best Turkish style food I’ve ever had. The service was unreal I really connected with the friendly, generous and kind workers there. I would suggest the gyro, chicken, and Adana kebabs to anyone looking for a real Turkish cuzen.

Oh, yeah. This is healthy and delicious and cheap. Like middle eastern but with whole grains and slightly different. I had the chicken gyro — came with s homemade bread, whole grain with onions, and a salad and a grilled tomato — two delicious sauces on the side, both amazing. So worth visiting — I will be a regular for sure.

I think, this place has the delicious food that I’ve ever tasted. I tried couples of Turkish restaurant but none of them as good as gyro&kebab house. Many different food options and great employees. I go there almost every week. It’s addicted! Highly recommended!

Have no idea where all these 5 star reviews come from. My husband and I got Kebobs… he got lamb I got chicken. It came with watery yogurt sauce on the side, bulgar wheat, a chopped salad with tomatoes, parsley, red onion and cucumbers. The meat was bland and overcooked. The salad was just okay and the bulgar wheat was inferior. I ate a few bites and threw mine away. What a waste of money. To Beirut is only a few miles away. Do yourself a favor and eat there. We will from now on when we want Middle Eastern food.

Its not easy finding a decent Turkish street food around these parts. This place hits the mark. I would have been happy with a meat stuffed doner wrapped in wax paper. What I got from Gyro and Kebab House was a fine lunch served on a real plate with silverware! Portions are huge and the prices are fair. I got a salad, gyro, dessert, and 2 drinks which ran me 24 bucks. It was enough food for 2 people… easily. Everything was well seasoned and ridiculously fresh. I was here early and the place was spotless. Everything was being wiped down. up, down and all around.

I really wanted to like this place but sorry to say the place is a dump — it’s so dirty in the dining area and the bathrooms and I can imagine what the kitchen must look like — this is a take out /fast food type of place and to try to pass it as great Turkish food as Turkish food is really, is a sin — their food is good for a Mediterranean fast food so I can give them 2 stars but everything else is lacking — the employees need a course on American minimum business standards — they all seem to be just off the plane both in cleanliness appearance and behavior — very disappointed — I really was excited about this place

You cannot go wrong with your choices. The servings are huge. Pace yourself and remember to leave room for dessert. Excellent friendly service. If you have never been here before, then you order first and select a table to sit at. Your food will be brought to you. Give the Turkish tea a shot too. Delicious!

A nice reasonably priced place to have delicious Turkish food. We had chicken kebabs which were juicy and flavorful along with nicely seasoned yummy rice pilaf and salad. One can make out that the food is fresh. The dessert Kunefe which took a long time to prepare is a must try if you have a sweet tooth. A portion big enough to serve four!

I just went to P.O. paradise tonight. I’m vegetarian and usually order falafel when I eat Middle Eastern food and have usually been disappointed. I found this place online and had them deliver a falafel wrap to my place of work. Well! I must say this was the most delicious, moist, vegetable packed sandwich I’ve ever eaten. This was blissful. I’ll be ordering from them forever!

We went for the first time last night, had a chicken gyro and a falafel gyro, as well as a chicken kabob plate. absolutely delicious. We will be going back very soon. great food at a great price and the staff is super friendly answering all of our questions about food and ingredients. Looking forward to our next visit to the Gyro & Kabob house!

Buffet was OKAY. Not that flavorful and not many options. Many of the dishes just tasted like canned tomato sauce. Service was disappointing. Cashier was rude and inattentive. Overall, I wouldn’t go back or recommend. I gave 3 stars because it was my first time trying Turkish and it was their buffet, not fresh order. However, I eat Iranian, Pakistani, Afghani food frequently and it is WAY better than the buffet I had here.

I have been driving past this eatery for a few months now, and I couldn’t talk myself into stopping by for the obvious lack of congruence between«Turkish» and«Gyro» in the name. Being hit with sudden hunger at noon on Route 1 isn’t new to me, but Turkish döner in Norwood was. Hopped in, skimmed through the wall menu, ordered a plate of doner, and headed to my table. The good: — The cooks are Turkish, they know their food. — Portions are generous, prices are reasonable. — Nice variety of desserts. — Owners & daughter are very warm & friendly. — Booth tables can be adjusted(loved this!) — Good selection of Turkish music. The bad: — Meat is dry. — Lack of proper ventilation: smell of burnt oil was painful. — 17 – 20 mins to prepare 1 plate of döner is just too much. — Clientele is way too loud, even for Turkish eateries. — If you pay with Visa, prepare for an email attack(not nice!) What would make me give it 5 stars: — Move over the tables that are blocking the entry path. — Cover up the baklava(or move them away from standing customers) — Ventilate. — Clean your windows by the booths. Turkish food is the product of a lovely culture that is rich with history. Using the Turkish alphabet on your paper menu is one of many entertaining ways to teach foreigners about that culture. So its cacik, not jajik. Döner not gyro. Do it before Sofra Istanbul comes to Dedham !

Great place. Staff is very welcoming and the food is amazing. No complaints at all here. Only hope is that one day they would server beer/wine but that is hardly a complaint. I always go to this place whenever I’m passing by.

The service here was excellent. I ordered with the Eat 24 app and it was ready in time. The food was average. I am guessing some of the spices they used didn’t appeal to me, but if you are into them you may have a different opinion. I have had a lot of Mediterranean food and this didn’t wow my taste buds. The french fries were like McDonalds fries. The grape leaves were massive, but had cinnamon and raisins in them which did not appeal to me. We also ordered a gyro, shish kebob, and an adana wrap. The gyro was my favorite. I don’t think I will be returning.

This place is good and might merit five stars instead of four. The online menu and the paper menus are pretty straight forward. The posted menu boards are somewhat confusing since they don’t list specific items, but groups of dishes. The portions are really really big. This place serves lahmancun which is really hard to find in the area. It’s not he best I have ever had, but is really packed with toppings. My main complaint would be that it’s too packed with toppings. I also got the yogurt kebab plate which is a rendition of iskender kebab. The flavor was really nice. The doner meat was pretty good, but the bed of Turkish bread was so good. I’ll definitely be headed back soon. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant is large with lots of seating.

Friendly service, excellent food, and quick to start eating for a late lunch on a Saturday. Try everything here, because everything we had in our first trip was amazing. The babaganoush is the creamiest I’ve ever had. The falafel is huge, and a generous lunch portion! All of the bread has the perfect texture. And the choklava is not too sugary, which to me tasted like the perfect chocolate indulgence. Highly recommended!

We were kind of confused and ordered a gyro plate. Huge portions. It came with the gyro meat, rice, and a little bit of salad. Meat was delicious and flavorful. Next time we know to order a gyro sandwich and not a plate.
