Lunch Box Deli

If I could eat here every day, I would! The tomato vegetable soup is one of the best tomato soups I’ve ever had.

My first trip here I ordered a Caesar chicken wrap. The chicken was flavorless and dry. Second trip I give it one more shot and got a turkey bacon and American cheese on a braided roll. The braided roll was as hard as a rock and the turkey was dry with a light smear of mayonnaise that you couldn’t even be taste.
I don’t know where all these great reviews come from because this place stinks!

I like lunch box Deli cause the food is great, but don’t Order the clam chowder it made my stomach not feel good and their was. Hard thing like sand small but hard. It is very clean and all those lunch boxes bring me back to the old days. Also the employs we’re happy to help and they are very nice and kind.

The LBD is awesome! You’re typical old school deli! Fresh boars head meats on fresh bread! I highly recommend their Italian! You won’t find a better version of this sandwich! Plus after 10 visits get a sandwich free with your LBD card!

Over priced ripoff. I went in to get lunch at least twice a week to get a lunch box salad small amount of meat add bacon for a 1.50. $ 11 wow will not go back it again. They lost a good customer! Now I go to the Greek place next to subway you must try it. Than you for reading this

Pretty good place. The only thing I wish they would offer is a smaller sandwich. I can’t eat a large sandwich.

This place really impressed me. Looks like a divey sandwich place from the outside. When I first walked in, I noticed was how clean the place is. The place is eclectic; Brightly decorated with 1980s lunch boxes. The guy at counter was super nice.
We got the clam chowder and chicken sandwich. Chowder was lovely even though served in a paper container but hey we’re in a deli here people :). I was happily surprised to see real warm chicken breast in my sandwich. For $ 7.50… That’s a bargain.
Glad I stopped by because I travel this way for work a lot.

This place is fantastic! I’ve been here 4 times in 2 weeks. I absolutely love the Balch sandwich! Boars head Turkey, bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato and mayo on your choice of bread. It’s huge! Cost is $ 8.02. I’ve also had the Cleveland Caprice. Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and fresh Basil with a splash of balsamic dressing. I’ve seen a few people take out the clam chowder too. Can’t wait to try that. They have a specials board to the left when you walk in. A few big tables to the right to dine in. Also, a tv.
It has lunch boxes that cover the top of the perimeter. Their awesome to look at. It takes you back in time. I want the Smurfette one!
The people are always extremely nice and it’s really quick. I never wait long. Place always looks clean too.
They have a card that they give you and stamp it every time you go and after 10 stamps you get a free sandwich. Don’t forget to grab one of those.
Parkings not bad. It’s next to Newbury Comics. So I always park in that lot.

I was in town for business for 2 weeks. Someone recommended I go here and get a meatball sub. I did and subsequently ate there 6 out of the next 7 days. The one day I didn’t eat there was a Sunday and they are closed on Sunday. They make the meatballs in house and sweet baby Jesus they are tender and delicious. Pleasant staff as well.

Second time in two years while visiting Boston. Huge unique sandwiches, Good Clam Chowder. Fun to look at the lunch boxes on window ledges and near ceiling. Would definitely go back. Would be a favourite place of mine if I lived in the area.

Wow, Guys. What the hell happened? I was psyched to head in today for my steak n cheese which, as you can see, I previously raved about here on Unilocal.But good God. It was awful. It had to literally be 50% gristle (see the picture for an example) and the braided roll was practically inedible. It’s as if it was microwaved. I took a video to show how hard it is but I’m not sure I can post it here. What I do know is you went from having THE best steak n cheese, hands down, to now this. Chewy, bone dry, barely any cheese at all…
Did you change the product to something cheaper?
Was today someone’s first day on the grill?
Are you now microwaving your bread?
I don’t get it. At all.
Seriously. I’m disappointed because I’ve been coming in for a while now knowing every time I was going to have a kick ass sub and now, it’s off the list. I will always pay a premium for a premium sandwich. I’ll never be taken twice for inedible old tasting nonsense.

Located right on rt is this great little gem. If your craving a good deli sandwich this place can cure your craving. The ham and Swiss is a personal favorite. With quality boars head deli selections you can craft a great sandwich or they offer some already concocted creations.

We order food for different office events from lunch box. Their food is absolutely AMAZING!!! Their turkey club sandwich is a must have; also the pasta and the meatball is delicious as well, specially the sauce for the meatball! Honestly if you’re around Canton/​Norwood and you HAVE TO try this place!

I love the Lunch Box Deli! Every sandwich that I have had there has been great! Also, all the sandwiches come with a pickle — yumm! I have tried several different items from the menu, and I have loved them all. They have a big selection of breads, sandwiches, chips, and beverages — which is awesome. All the people that work there are friendly. It’s decently priced. I would definitely recommend going here!

Their sandwiches are so good! My boyfriend and I usually get them every Saturday since we’ve realized they were there. Their peanut butter cookies are amazing too! The staff is nice too!

I love this place. My company has large meetings for visitors almost weekly. About a month ago, the place we normal order catering from was closed, so decided to order from here on a whim. I am so glad we did. We now order from them at least once a week. They get it right every time. Everything is so fresh, great presentation, and everyone that works there is so accommodating and nice.

I always go here for lunch when I get my car serviced up the street… it’s a classy, clean deli counter with seven or eight tables and a few drink coolers. Sandwiches are made to a generous size with fresh ingredients, and the folks behind the counter always seem to be attentive and in good spirits.
I’ve had a salad here also and it was fresh and delicious. Really, it’s just a good solid deli… I bet they do great business for business catering. If you’re on this side of the auto mile with an hour to kill around lunchtime, you could do far worse than here!

The service is friendly, especially the two women who are usually working at the checkout. If you order a sandwich on their phenomenal braided roll, you’ll probably have leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch, unless you’re really hungry, or your sandwich is so good you can’t put it down.
I usually go with the ½ salad, ½ sandwich combo with the Willett, a meatball sandwich and caesar salad. The caesar dressing is really garlicy… I can feel it coming out of my pores later in the day at the gym, but so worth it.
I’ve had a couple of the other sandwiches, sides, and salads, and all have been fabulous. I’d definitely recommend this place!

Busy sandwich joint on route 1 next to newbury comics.
I suggest parking in the larger portion of the lot to the side of newbury comics as the spaces in front of the store are high traffic and don’t have a ton of room to back out and then pull out into route one again.
They didn’t have many veggie options, you could get the Cleveland without prosciutto or the green monster, a basil, pickle, veggie concoction with a massive portion of muenster cheese. I opted for that and a bag of spicy dill kettle chips, and some blueberry lemonade polar seltzer. Price was a little more than I’d like to pay, but it was delicious and quite a big portion for the price. Guess my dislike of sandwich leftovers is part of that though.
