My god the customer service, where to begin. I’ll keep it as short as possible. As far as selection goes, you wont find anywhere better in the entire area, the prices are reasonable but not world beating.
Here’s where my story begins:
I’m new to hockey and was trying to find out what skates would best suit my needs. Went there got fitted with some skates and not knowing what to expect as i had never skated before went with the sales reps recommendation ($ 200 CCM RBZ70). After about 6 months of having severe difficulty skating (i had inlined all my life and was always athletic) I was informed that it looked like my skates were not the right size. I went to the Bauer store and got refitted and got to use the skates on their test ice. I was fitted at MonkeySports with a size 8D and as it would turn out I should be in a size 7EE. The skates I tried were much more comfortable and i was able to skate with ease and stopping/​speed improved considerably. However the store wouldn’t have that size in the mid level skates but only in the 800‑1000 $ range.
Fast forward, I leave Bauer and go to MS to see if they have any Bauer supreme’s in my size. As luck would have it they have a pair of Bauer Supreme 160’s in 7EE. I go there try them on and quickly walk out the door with them. Bring them to stick and puck and public skate the next day and have a great time with my new skates thou, i do need to get them profiled from 11″ radius to 9″ but thats not a problem. I get an email saying «Bauer Supreme 160’s on sale $ 50 off» so i quickly call MS and ask about the profiling and if they can do a price adjustment. I’m asked if i’ve sharpened the skates already and i say yes in the store then they tell me «tough luck, we can’t do an adjustment if you’ve already used the skates». I ask why and they say because they can’t return them, the only thing is i don’t want to return them, i’d just like the sale price i missed by less than 24 hours. After a few minutes of getting no where i hung up pretty disheartened.
I will never shop at MS again because their service is not in the interest of the customer. I recommend pure hockey or one of their competitors, i prefer to be treated as a person rather than a wallet.

The only real hockey store I’ve been to outside Canada :)
They have a huge selection of equipment. We didn’t buy skates there, so no comment on that.

We waited patiently at the shooting area for an associate to join. And when the employee finally showed up he had such a terrible attitude and mannerism towards us, it was insulting. We left without making purchase. This place doesn’t deserve my business.

What a store! There for a Little Bruins Learn to Play Hockey event this morning. A Full set of hockey equipment for young boys or girls and 4 hockey lessons in ice for $ 100. Today, the Bruins Ice Girls, Blades the Bear and Friendly’s handing out ice cream were all there. The store staff were amazing with the kids too — fitting each one with all of their gear from helmets on down to the skates. They even cut and tape the new sticks! Awesome!

a pretty intense big store that caters to just hockey, lacrosse and baseball for the most part. Lacrosse shoe selection and baseball are small and wish they had more to offer. As far as sticks and shafts pretty much have every kind you can imagine.
On this day I’m not sure if they were short handed or what but definitely could have used more staff on to help. Could not find anyone to help us and when we did were told someone would be over. Only to have No one come. So just be prepared to wait if you need help or come during the week when less congested.

I’m a first time shopper at this store. Had a great experience. Sales Assoc. Debbie was especially helpful with my special order of Bauer hockey skates. From now on this will be my «go to» store for athletic equipment. Thanks Debbie!

I ordered a Referee sweater from online and it showed up in perfect condition within a few days. After my unfortunate visit to Pure Hockey, I decided to travel to this store since I was already an hour away from home. I called ahead of time to inquire Referee Pants and they said they had just received a shipment of new stuff and that they would dig up every piece of referee gear they got for me. When I arrived, they greeted me inside their MASSIVE store and knew who I was. I tried on a couple different pairs, and walked away with a good purchase. The prices in the store are identical to the prices on their site (and they’re decent prices).
Great service. That’s exactly how you should treat your customers.

As hockey goalie parents this place is awesome, they have everything you need and the help is very experienced. We would like to thank all the employees there for all there help with our shopping, most of all we would like to thank Wack. His goalie experience is top notch, there is no one better. Weather you are starting out as a goalie or a seasoned pro this is the place to go.

love everything about the hockey section in this store. staff is always available to help and they have the biggest selection of roller and ice hockey than any other place i have been to! and i have been to many, but this store has very competitive pricing and always has all the newest sticks and gear on release date which my son loves. he loves going in here, and trust me, it is worth the almost hour drive it takes us to get here. i have only had 1 problem with this place and the manager took care of it right away months later! it was a huge problem and they fit my son wrong for EVERYTHING! i was never going to return, but after speaking with the manager and him fixing the problem and weeding out employees with no knowledge, this store has def made in A in my book. very friendly staff as well and since weeding out the folks who knew nothing about hockey or how to fit a kid, its awesome and i love it!

This review is for the hockey section of the store.
The selection here is generally really good. The store itself is HUGE. I come from the land of hockey/​land of 10,000 lakes so I am accustomed to having a large selection of hockey equipment available year round, and this generally pleases me.
I have purchased a few sticks here and what is awesome is the little stick tryout area. Sometimes an employee can be a little slow to get to someone waiting to try out some sticks, but it’s worth the wait. If you haven’t been, this is what you need to know: there are probably about 60 sticks total (30 left, 30 right) you can try of varying brands, curve patterns, and lengths. There is this room set up with a goal, pucks, and one of those little fake-​ice practice surfaces that you can stick handle and shoot from. This is is SO helpful, as most stores you can’t try out a stick but how do you know you are going to like this huge investment if you can’t even try it? Whatever, this store solves that problem.
I bring my skates here to have them sharpened and I have never had a bad sharpening. They people doing it seem to be good at it and they always ask me if there is any specific radius I want, which I appreciate (even if my answer is usually, «standard is perfect»).
I do most of my research on the website, which is great except that they don’t always carry or have in stock what is on the website, particularly if it’s a clearance or sale item. I wish there was a streamlined process where you could buy sometimes online and have it shipped to the store — I find the shipping prices outputting. Like, if I’m buying a pair of socks, for example, it sucks that that shipping costs just as much as the socks. So, if they don’t have it in store, I am more likely to go elsewhere to get smaller items, like socks, tape, replacement blades, stuff like that.
I bought a pair of skates on the website and picked them up at the UPS distribution center about 1 mile away (for $ 14.99). However, I took them into the store and they provided a complimentary bake and sharpen, which I expected to happen but was also a nice perk to look forward to.
The sales people are generally really knowledgeable and have a good handle on the questions I have. There was once (when I brought the skates in) that the sales guy kind of scoffed at my skate choice, because they have a particularly stiff boot and he implied that I wouldn’t really ever break them in because I don’t skate enough/​am not a serious enough skater/​am not heavy enough/(because I’m a girl? I don’t know — I’m primed to think young male hockey jocks think less of me as a hockey player because of my gender). But, I am proud to say that the first game I wore them in, I scored 2 goals, so screw you a-​hat.
Anyway, this is a good place to get hockey equipment. Some of their stuff is reasonably priced, some of it is really expensive, but that tends to correlate to the quality of the item in question.

Had an excellent experience buying new skates for my 15 year old son. Scott was the salesman. He is extremely knowledgeable. He asked lots of questions and listened to his answers to determine what the best skate would be. He had zero attitude and was only interested in making sure the skates were the right ones for my son.

I had some relatives visiting from Colombia, SA and they wanted to take advantage of the great pricing on hockey gear at this store. They speak hardly any English and I can barely get by in Spanish but somehow we managed to get everything they needed with the help of John Collins! I hope that’s your name. It was a couple of weeks ago but I haven’t forgotten how grateful we all were for your help! Thank you for going above and beyond to help my little cousin :) Also, thanks for finding his jacket. His parents were going to make him walk around without one for the rest of the day!

I had to get some stuff to repair my Goalie Pads.
Steve «Wack» was awesome. Very knowlegeable and very helpful. He was able to repair my broken buckle in just a few minutes.
The store had a great selection of goalie gear and I will definitely be back for all my goalie needs.

They literally have EVERYTHING you would need for lacrosse, hockey and baseball and DESTROY aweful Pure Hockey in terms of selection and price. If you go on a week day youll have plenty of sales help as its generally not to crowded!
