I had several pairs of pants hemmed. She measured and pinned them on a walk in basis. They were ready a couple hours later than the promised time but she had an «emergency customer» and I had told her I was in no hurry. If I were the one having an emergency wardrobe issue I would want her to help me out. The hems were the hidden kind and she did a great job. She also took one of them in at the waist and her work is invisible.

I usually bring my clothes to get altered here the owners are friendly and get things done on the day they tell you to come back.(they can rush a certain item if you explain to them that you need it by a certain day and time) overall expierence: Great! clean place, i take my jeans to get altered cost anywhere around 10 – 20 dollars to do. and i have taken my items back for few MINOR alterations couple days after and cynthia takes care of it at no cost if its not to time consuming. GOOD JOB LADIES!

I used to go to their location in the Pini Hardware center on South Novato Blvd., but now I have discovered they have a location even closer to my home on Ignacio! These ladies do excellent work. I have had a pattern and four pair of pants made from an old pair that fit perfectly. Additionally, they have made me a few duster length tops, one from an incredibly difficult Indian embroidered and mirrored fabric that they matched perfectly. I also have had them do hemming of pants, and now, a bed ruffle! Cannot recommend Cynthia and her sister any more highly!

Cynthia (the C of C & I Alternation) is the most amazing seamstress I’ve ever known. I’ve been using her for years. She did my wedding dress and several pieces for me since then. My mom has been using her for many years too. I haven’t had the pleasure of working directly with her sister Irene but I’m sure she’s equally as talented. LOVE this place. Can’t say enough good things.

C&I is a great little tailor in Novato. I gave them a silk charmuse bridesmaid dress to alter and they did a perfect job. They were able to mimic the intricate pleating and make it look like I had nothing done to it at all. On top of that they are SO reasonable. Hemmed pants cost $ 9. They do really good work. I highly recommend.

Wonderful service, the sewing was done well, but one of the pairs of pants I took in came back shorter than we had agreed when I had them pinned. This makes me a little nervous about going back. They also don’t take credit or check cards here. Cash or check only. Like most people these days, I haven’t carried checks for years and I am a slave to my check card. Honestly, I find it kind of inconvenient when a business won’t take cards. I know it’s an expense for them, but it’s also 2008 and if I am going to pick up my alterations before they close I am already rushing from work — I don’t have time to stop at an ATM.
